"Rihaan... No, Rihaan please...." Kabir was running here and there in the yard shouting, but Rihaan, completely drenched and holding a water pipe in his hand, was not stopping chasing him.
"You started it Kabir, now how can you escape" saying this Rihaan again swung the pipe towards Kabir but Kabir escaped once again. Amit was sitting at the breakfast table and laughing looking at them both, while Tanish also came there with a tray in his hand.
"Guys, breakfast is ready, come quickly." Tanish put the tray on the table, after wetting each other for some time, Rihaan and Kabir came to them.
"You both are completely wet, change your clothes first" said Amit, taking his eyes off the mobile,
Rihaan and Kabir agreed, then both of them left from there. After some time Rihaan and Kabir also came there after changing their clothes. After having breakfast together, they went for a walk towards the nearby pond. Then Kabir said, "By the way, what is the plan for today? What are we going to do today?"
Amit immediately said, "Of course we will go somewhere, because I cannot stay at home the whole day."
Tanish said, "But tell me where you will go?"
Amit shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know where we will go, you guys decide. Tell me later."
Kabir was about to say something when he heard a voice from behind "I am going to the hill fort, would you guys like to come with me?"
As soon as they heard Mohini's voice, Tanish and Amit's faces lit up, both of them immediately turned towards her and said together, "Yes, yes why not? How can I miss the chance to go with you?"
Seeing both of them, Kabir shook his head in annoyance, then after thinking something, Rihaan said, "But is that place safe?"
Hearing this, Amit and Tanish glared at Rihaan. Amit gritted his teeth and said, "Rihaan bro, if Mona is going there, then the place will be safe, right? Don't you believe her?"
"It is not like that, actually when I was little my grandparents used to stop me from going there, so I think we should not go there" Rihaan said in a calm tone, Mohini was getting angry after hearing his words but she was pretending to be normal.
Then Tanish teasingly said, "Friend Rihaan , you were little then, so your grandparents would have stopped you, but now you are not a little child. You are a grown up man"
Kabir thought for a while and said, "Rihan, let's go friend. I too want to see the fort."
Rihaan agreed and said, "Okay, if you guys say so then we will go there."
Mohini stepped forward and said "great, then it is decided that we all will go there today after noon"
They reached a high hill by the time the afternoon sun started to subside. Kabir was tired of walking but Rihaan was holding his hand. Amit and Tanish were in the lead flirting with Mohini.
Holding Kabir's hand, Rihaan said in a frustrated tone, "I had already forbidden you, but you were more interested in coming here. Now look at your condition, you are so tired."
Kabir said panting, "Relax dude, it's nothing. Even if I get tired, you are with me, right? You pick me up and carry me."
Rihaan stared at her and said in an annoyed tone, "Yes, like you are my wife?"
Kabir replied smilingly, "So what if I am not your wife, I am your friend. Can't I do this much for the sake of a friend?"
Rihaan hit him on the head from behind and said "just shut up yaar, or else I will push you out from here and you will die"
In a short while, they all reached inside the old fort, where beautiful structures were carved on the stone and the fort looked very beautiful with huge rooms like a maze. But now it had turned into ruins, as if humans had not set foot here for years. No one realised when the time passed in roaming around there, taking pictures and having fun.
Kabir and Rihaan were standing near the window of the topmost room of the fort, from where the whole jungle was visible. By then Tanish and Amit reached there with Mohini and Mohini said looking at them "This jungle is really very beautiful"
Without looking at Mohini, Rihaan said in a deep voice, "Yes, Grandma used to tell me stories about this forest, I always wanted to go inside it, but I never got a chance."
Mohini said with a crooked smile, "But today the opportunity is in front of you."
Hearing this, Rihaan looked at him in surprise, "what do you mean?"
Mohini smiled lightly and said, "I mean why don't we go to see the forest, I have also heard a lot about it and want to see it."
Rihaan immediately said "are you crazy Mona, this is a jungle, not a park where you are suggesting us to go"
Kabir interrupted Rihaan and said, "But Rihaan, I don't think this jungle is dangerous. We can go for a walk there."
Rihaan said in a strict tone "But Kabir...."
Before Rihaan could complete his words, Tanish said, "yaar, what is your problem? Earlier you never refused to go anywhere, then what has happened since this morning?"
Rihan said in a confused tone "I don't know, but I feel something is wrong"
"There is nothing like that, you are having unnecessary misconceptions" saying this Tanish looked at Mohini and said "Leave it, we are going now ok"
Rihaan said in anger, "Stubbornness in every matter is not good, we are going back home now, let's end the matter."
Saying this, Rihaan left the place in anger, Kabir also followed him in a hurry. Amit said with a frown, "Sorry Mona, if Rihaan won't go then we can't go either."
After saying this Amit left with Tanish, then Mohini clenched her fists in anger and said to herself "This boy has ruined my entire plan, I feel like showing them my real face and drinking their blood but I can't do that. Now I have to think of something else"
After some time, a devilish gleam was seen in Mohini's eyes. "No one has been able to escape from Mohini's trap till date, so how will you people be able to escape?"
They were running down the hill after Rihaan, Mohini was walking behind them with a devilish smile on her face. Then Mohini looked up at the sky, where it was completely dark now. Her eyes turned red for a moment and then become normal again. In a few seconds, dark clouds gathered in the sky, there was a strong storm and rain. It became difficult for Kabir and his friends to even take a single step, everyone held each other's hands.
Mohini's red eyes were watching everyone from a distance, everyone started staggering due to the strong wind. Staggering, they somehow moved a few steps forward but soon they realised that they had come on the wrong path. Rihaan said in a troubled voice, "This road leads to the forest, the road to the village is different."
Saying this he turned to the other side but there was no other way, only dense trees were visible everywhere. "What the hell, where did this road disappear now?"
Saying this in anger, Rihaan looked around, it was difficult to see anything properly due to the heavy rain and wind. Then Mohini came towards them and said, "I think we have lost our way"
Rihaan stamped his feet on the ground in anger and said, "I had already forbidden you, but why would you people listen to me? You have an unknown girl..."
While saying this, Rihan stopped his words but Amit got angry at him and said "Rihan please, don't blame her. She had no idea that something like this was going to happen"
Rihaan looked angrily at Amit, but before he could say anything Kabir said "Please stop it guys, nothing will happen by blaming each other now. It would be better if we try to get out of here, the rain is getting heavy"
Mohini immediately said, "There is only one path visible here, maybe we can reach back to the village through that path."
Tanish immediately agreed and said, "We have no other option."
Everyone else also agreed and they started walking on the path in heavy rain which was very rough and rocky. Due to the rain, it had started getting slippery and their steps were faltering in the strong storm. But Mohini was still walking ahead of everyone and taking them on the path which led to the old mansion in the middle of the dense forest. There was a devilish expression on Mohini's face, of which they were all unaware.
Then suddenly Kabir felt something and his steps stopped immediately. Kabir bent down and looked at his feet and found that some dry bushes had got entangled in his feet. Kabir stopped and pulled them out from his feet but when he looked up, all his friends had left from there. Kabir was left alone in that dense forest amidst the heavy storm and rain.
"Rihaan! Amit..... Tanish....." Kabir called out immediately but it was impossible for Kabir's voice to reach them in such a terrible storm and rain. Fear and nervousness were visible on Kabir's face, firstly it was a dark night and on top of that this dense forest which may look beautiful and green during the day but the darkness of night had definitely made it scary. Kabir was wandering in the forest with nervous eyes, when suddenly the forest was filled with light for a moment due to a bright lightning and the next moment fell into the same dark pit.
"Rihaan.... Rihaan.... where are you guys? Rihaan"
Kabir shouted loudly in panic but he did not know where his voice got lost in the heavy rain. The next moment, he covered his ears with both hands in fear of the loud sound of thundering clouds. The very next moment, he gathered courage, opened his eyes and started walking forward. Suddenly his steps stopped, as soon as he felt some movement in the bushes, he immediately looked back.
Kabir's face turned pale in a moment when the dreaded wolf looked into his eyes from between the bushes and his pupils remained wide open. Seeing death in front of him at that moment, it was as if the ground held his feet, every step of the wolf was taking Kabir closer to his death. There was hunger in the wolf's eyes and fear in Kabir's eyes.
Kabir tried to step back in fear but his steps faltered and he fell to the ground in a moment. Seeing death approaching him, Kabir's throat had dried up in the heavy rain and his hands were trembling with fear. And the next moment the hungry wolf jumped on Kabir.
