"Hey, wifey."
Leon pulled the two of them not far from the group of Borisin and then shouted.
"Huh? M-Me?"
Hearing this address, Yukong was stunned again. Her brain, already overloaded, was now completely short-circuiting.
Is... Is this right?
"My old heart condition is acting up again. Do you have any medicine for internal injuries?"
Leon frantically gave her a look, signaling that yes, this was right.
Hearing this, the Borisin's wolf-like ears perked up instinctively, as if they would attack if Yukong didn't have any.
"N-No."
Yukong was dumbfounded, completely unable to understand the situation. But remembering his earlier instructions, she had no choice but to play along for now.
"Sigh... If you don't have any, forget it. I'll just endure it."
Leon sighed, looking regretful.
Yukong had no idea what he was trying to do. Could it be that by playing the victim in front of these Borisin, they would generously offer up medical supplies?
That was a bit too fantastical!
If it weren't for the Fanghu banner tied to Leon's head,
she would've really thought he was some Masked Fool who had come here specifically to mess with her for fun.
"Go. I remember we still have some Crimson Spring left on our ships. Bring it to me." x3
There were three beastships landed here. The three Borisin captains, upon hearing him say that, gave the order without hesitation.
"Yes!" x3
The three first mates heard their captains' orders.
They immediately rushed back to their ships and soon hurried out, each carrying a small, transparent, round vial filled with red liquid.
"Here, brother." x3
The three Borisin took the vials in unison and stepped forward in sync.
"Perfect timing. We still have some emergency healing medicine in our fleet. Take it and use it." x3
The three Borisin surrounded him, each cordially offering up their little red vial.
"Oh, I couldn't possibly."
Leon feigned modesty, waving his hands in a "no, no, I can't" gesture.
"What's there to be embarrassed about? It's my fault. I wasn't paying attention just now and scared your wives. Take it and use it!" x3
The three little red vials were genuinely pushed in front of him, the Borisin scrambling to shove them into his hands.
"Whoa, you guys are too generous, bros."
Seeing this, Leon dropped the act and accepted them with a broad smile.
"Hey, we're all brothers here. Don't be a stranger!"
After speaking, the three Borisin sequentially raised their claws, patted his shoulder, and then coolly turned back.
Leon felt a bit lucky now.
Good thing Lan didn't go through the full procedure with him back then.
The force of the three Borisin's shoulder pats wasn't heavy, but it would've been more than enough to kill his past self.
If he hadn't received the Reignbow Arbiter's blessing, Leon, for all his calculations, would have never predicted he'd be "murdered" at the final step.
If the Borisin were like this, the power of an Aeon was simply unimaginable.
"Isn't this ridiculous?"
Leon shook the three small vials, not forgetting to speak to Yukong.
Yukong was speechless.
She felt as if her entire worldview had just been forcibly rebooted.
Wait, was what she just saw even real?
How could a few shouts of "bro" and a bit of sob story make you just hand over your own medical resources?
Is this really right?
In a normal scenario, shouldn't they have taken advantage of the "illness" to kill them on the spot?
The Borisin are this friendly?
She had to be dreaming...
One must know that in battle, the Borisin emit a pheromone called "Wolf Venom" to trigger fear in the amygdala.
This then plunges people into false illusions.
Yukong had taken the corresponding preventative medicine before going into battle.
But she suddenly felt she had fallen for it without realizing.
If the cold touch of the vial's base in her hand hadn't snapped her back to reality, she probably would have pinched herself hard to check if it was real.
"Take these. For your friend."
Leon supported the back of her hand, generously giving all three vials to her.
"Thank you..."
Yukong came to her senses, looking down at the little red vial standing in her palm and thanking him instinctively.
It wasn't an illusion. Everything that just happened was real...
Yukong looked up. Leon seemed to have some business and took a few steps forward.
Gazing at his back.
What a strange person, she thought.
His methods were completely inscrutable and astonishing, and the words that came out of his mouth were all sorts of strange.
But it was undeniable...
"Thank you!"
Yukong thanked him once more, but this time with solemnity.
He was a savior who had descended from the heavens.
No matter how bizarre he was, he was her lifesaver, having solved her most pressing, urgent need.
She would never forget this kindness!
Yukong committed his help to memory. She would definitely find a way to repay him in the future.
But for now, it was crucial to treat Caiyi before the golden hour for healing passed!
With that thought, Yukong quickly used her teeth to pull out the stopper from one of the red vials.
Then she lifted Caiyi's head slightly, aimed the mouth of the vial at her lips, and carefully let some of the liquid flow in slowly.
Even though a medicine from the Borisin would most likely have side effects.
But with a life on the line, she couldn't worry about that now. Helping Caiyi hold on was the most important thing!
Meanwhile, on Leon's side.
He perfunctorily put his hands together and gave the Borisin a little shake, going through the motions symbolically.
"Hey, bros, you dropped something!"
He then spoke up.
"Huh? What is it, brother?"
Hearing this, the three Borisin stopped and turned around in confusion.
Logically, shouldn't the breakup BGM be playing right now? What was he up to this time?
"I feel guilty just taking your things for free. I have some humble gifts here for you to take back."
As Leon spoke, he took the longbow from his back and drew the string with practiced ease.
Once again transforming into the mysterious archer!
"Whoa, a Freljordian indeed! You're too much, brother!" x3
The three Borisin looked at each other and spoke their gratitude in unison.
Leon smiled but said nothing.
A purple arrowhead, and with it, the survival of all the Borisin present...
was now held firmly between his two fingers!
Swoosh!
Just as the Borisin were still saying "Isn't this ridiculous?"...
the arrow was loosed in an instant, like a fired bullet!
Bang!
After the arrow hit one Borisin, the immense energy contained within it erupted in an instant!
A purple energy vortex materialized out of thin air!
With a super-strong suction comparable to a gentle catgirl, it swept all the Borisin inside!
along with the three parked beastships!
Rumble!
The vortex continued to compress!
until it reached its peak and produced a magnificent explosion!
The group of Borisin died inside it, not even leaving ashes behind!
He blew them all up!
"Sigh, once an Abundance follower, always an Abundance follower!"
For this sudden attack, Leon only had a single, cutting remark.
He wasn't stupid.
The reason this group of Borisin seemed like good people was because "Da Jinjin" was secretly pulling the strings.
Without "Da Jinjin," this group of Borisin would have probably been just like those Abundance followers from when he first transmigrated.
They would have attacked on sight!
Since Leon knew they wanted to kill him,
was he supposed to let the tiger back into the mountains?
Why not pull out the weeds by the roots?
Save them for the New Year?
Well, sorry, but Leon never liked to let a grudge last overnight.
Nor did he like to let a danger that could be eliminated on the spot exist for a second longer.
