Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Law of Regression

Early in the morning, the Sky of Mondstadt was just beginning to lighten, and Mondstadt City was still in a deep slumber.

However, some people always get a head start, like Ellin, who was doing her morning exercises, or Yu Jin, who was secretly watching Ellin's morning exercises.

"Hey! Yu Jin Gege, you don't like me, do you? How long have you even been in Mondstadt!" Collei said, a little displeased, as she watched Yu Jin stare intently at Ellin.

"What are you thinking! I just saw a good prospect and thought I could help her," Yu Jin said, stroking his chin. He was already considering what to teach Ellin.

"Let's go. We'll find a secluded place to sort things out. Your illness is a bit troublesome." After making up his mind, Yu Jin first put Garura on his back, then picked up Collei, and instantly darted far away.

"Wah wah ah ah ah!"

"Hahahaha!"

"So noisy. How come you weren't this boisterous when I first met you?"

Along the way, the three of them chatted and moved around, having already traversed various parts of Mondstadt.

Finally, after passing through a narrow canyon, a huge wind barrier appeared before Yu Jin's eyes.

He reached out to touch it, and the howling winds, like sharp blades, struck Yu Jin's gauntlet with a clatter.

Fortunately, it was within a tolerable range. Yu Jin put down Garura and Collei and took out a staff.

Then, with a wave of his hand, a verdant green light wave rippled out from the staff's gem.

Wherever the light wave reached, the restless wind immediately subsided.

Tops's Forcefield—a magic explored by Tops, known as the Waste Stone, who gambled his life on it.

It can create a magical force field, repelling magic and Prayer. Continuous casting will form successive force fields.

"Dang dang dang!" The crisp sound of rippling light waves continuously came, and soon Yu Jin led Garura and Collei out of this wind barrier.

Yu Jin looked out, and a huge bridge appeared before his eyes. At the end of the bridge, a towering, ruined spire stood amidst the strong winds.

"What a great place!" Yu Jin exclaimed. It was sparsely populated and vast, perfectly meeting his requirements.

Although the surrounding wind was quite strong, for Yu Jin, who had traversed the Whispering Woods, it was all too familiar.

Of course, Yu Jin also had to consider whether Garura and Collei could withstand the howling winds around them.

So he chose to go to the top of that tall tower for treatment.

However, as he approached the tall tower, Yu Jin saw another wind barrier firmly sealing the entire tower.

Yu Jin once again reached out a hand to try and touch this wind barrier.

"Snap!" Yu Jin felt as if his palm had been heavily struck. He looked at his palm, then at the almost solidified airflow in front of him.

"Boom!" Yu Jin directly plunged both hands into the wind wall. The powerful gales tightly churned around Yu Jin's arms, trying to tear him to shreds.

"Are you trying to pick a fight?!" Yu Jin roared, exerting force with both arms.

At this moment, he had caught the wind!

"Whoosh!" As Yu Jin spread his arms, the howling winds were instantly swept away!

Suddenly, the Sky became clear!

"Let's go!" Yu Jin looked at the somewhat shocked Garura and Collei. Seeing that they hadn't reacted, he directly pulled them inside.

"So… so amazing!" Garura's eyes shone. That scene just now was incredibly cool!

"Yu Jin Gege, just how strong are you?!" This was Collei's first time seeing Yu Jin in action. The previous time was more of a deterrent, and the target wasn't her, so it didn't bring her as much shock as this time.

After all, this was pushing away strong winds!

"Huh? Haha, it's nothing, nothing. I don't like fighting, and I'm not that strong. Don't overthink it, you two."

Yu Jin's heart bloomed with joy upon hearing Garura and Collei's words. He waved his hand dismissively while saying this, clearly implying they should think more of it.

Collei and Garura twitched their lips. Good, the Yu Jin Gege they knew was indeed this unreliable.

"Alright, find a comfortable position and sit down. I'll examine your bodies." Yu Jin didn't forget the main task. He only acted smug for a moment before becoming serious.

Collei and Garura sat down shoulder to shoulder upon hearing him. Once they were settled, Yu Jin walked behind them.

Yu Jin placed his hands on Garura and Collei's shoulders. Through his withered eyes, Yu Jin saw a pulsating, pale white flame in the center of both Collei and Garura's bodies.

These were their souls.

However, their souls were both polluted. Garura's soul was entangled with a mass of dark flowing clouds, constantly trying to invade Garura's soul.

But each time it tried, an orange-red flame would emerge to repel it—this was Yu Jin's power. Because of his power, these remnants of the gods could not yet threaten Garura.

Collei's situation, however, was much more severe than Garura's.

Aside from a larger mass of remnants of the gods, Collei's soul also contained a trace of deep purple. This should be the Eleazar that Collei said she was "born" with.

The black flowing clouds and purple qi constantly battled within Collei's soul. This must be the work of that Doctor. The two forces, surprisingly, achieved a special balance!

It seems the Doctor still had some skill.

However, he probably didn't realize that the so-called Eleazar was an external entity. And that "born" was merely a contamination by forbidden knowledge during the embryonic stage.

After observing for a while, Yu Jin made his decision. No one understood souls better than he did, and such pollution was merely a bit troublesome for him.

Yu Jin began to slightly release his attraction to souls. Instantly, both the remnants of the gods and the milky white souls began to tremble.

At the same time, Garura and Collei also let out a muffled groan, their faces turning pale. The sensation of one's soul being pulled was not very pleasant.

Fortunately, Yu Jin's control was precise enough. Garura and Collei's souls only trembled for a moment before stopping their fluctuations, leaving only the remnants of the gods struggling to hold on.

But it was futile. Soon, black qi began to emerge from Garura and Collei's bodies, indicating the remnants of the gods were leaving their bodies.

At this moment, Garura and Collei did not feel any pain. On the contrary, they felt extremely comfortable because things that didn't belong to them were rolling out of their bodies, and their bodies consequently became lighter.

Large amounts of black qi were absorbed into Yu Jin's body, which caused the "things" within him, which had not eaten for a long time, to become restless.

However, Yu Jin ignored them. They were merely defeated foes and could not threaten him for now.

At this moment, Yu Jin stared intently at Collei. As he expected, after the remnants of the gods left her body, the delicate balance within Collei was broken.

The Eleazar, now unrestrained, began to corrode Collei's body.

"Ah!" Collei felt an unbearable pain throughout her body, and her limbs became increasingly weak. Not only that, she clearly saw pale purple scales beginning to appear on the back of her hands—her Eleazar was flaring up.

"Yu Jin Gege, quickly save Collei Jiejie!" Garura cast aside her newfound joy. Now she only felt terror; the Eleazar had frightened her greatly.

Yu Jin took a deep breath, and brilliant golden light flickered on his palms.

He stood straight, his arm extended diagonally, like a precise clock hand.

"Clang!" Yu Jin's arm turned precisely 45 degrees, and a vast golden light Bloomed with him as the center.

On the ground, the triangular, circular pattern representing the fundamentalism of the Golden Order expanded. Wherever it reached, everything returned to its most primordial form.

Law of Regression—a Prayer of the Golden Order fundamentalism. One of the foundational Prayers.

It heals all abnormal statuses, removes special effects, eliminates all mimicry, and reveals the true form.

Fundamentalism explains the Golden Order with two powers—Regression and Causality. Regression means to converge all things towards the unchanging. It belongs to the gravitational force in meaning.

Under the golden light, everything about Collei returned to its most original state, and her original self was free from any illness.

Eleazar, after all, was an external entity!
