The race was done. Coach Waffle has announced the winner, but for some odd reason in Kappa's perspective, all of her competitors, the other members signing up seem to be leaving? Why? You guys are apart of the track team are you not? Oh well. All that matters to her is she won. I guess.
She'd then turn around. As she stares down, at the same boy who taunted her, just before this race. She stares at him struggling to breathe. The boy yelled out words while being exhausted, "M-Monster.. You Demon! I just wanted to win, YOU! YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!"
At that moment, Kappa felt bad, and wanted to apologize. She's not a monster… She just wanted to win, She didn't mean to hurt the guy.
She offered a hand to the boy, and was gonna
apologize honestly.
Sadly, things aren't as easily solved as Kappa thinks they can be. In the boy's mind, one thing was across his mind, and that was he will never race again.
Turning back time, this race should've been normal.

The pov of Ian:
"Perfect. I got her with my taunt, now to make her race near me, and she won't even touch first place this time." As Ian seems to have been calculating the best way to sabotage Kappa from winning first this year.
"I plan to be the fastest mundane Human on earth. You won't stop my dream from happening."
He'd then glance towards his friend group once again, signifying a form of signal.
These people had a singular plan, and that was to stall out Kappa with their O formation, otherwise known as the Circle formation. Every single one of them would circle around Kappa, and block her off. This was indeed cheating, but oddly enough, Coach W never seemed to pay attention during the race. Only at the end of the race.
Their plan of theirs in their mind, they thought it was foolproof.
Ian would then be seen walking over towards them, as he speaks up first. "That bastard, won't even understand what's going on. I've watched her for a while, and I'll tell you she's too thin-brained to immediately figure out our plan." The group then snickered as it consisted of 5 members, excluding Ian.
Grunt 1, retorts first as he says "Why don't we just hurt her kneecaps, or legs. She's useless without them, She has no arm-strength anyways."
They all glanced at Kappa to indeed see she did have noodle-arms for arms. As they laughed to themselves once again.
Grunt 2 speaks up to their group leader, "Man Ian, the way you plan this whole stuff against her, You'd think you wouldn't want her to run again or something!"
The group particularly did not care about what happened to Kappa after this race, although they were curious about the girl themselves, for Ian to need 5! 5 People, to stop her. Ian speaks up as his face Grims. "You wouldn't get it. I've raced her before, and I'll tell you! She's a Demon! She's an awakened in disguise, racing in Mundane races! She's also a Cheater! She's a.." As Ian continues to babble different names about Kappa. His hatred clearly goes far, for whatever this girl has done to him.
Grunt 3 snickers at Ian again, "HAH! AWAKENED IN DISGUISE? If she's an awakened, I must be some Saint! Look at her!"
"Her build physically doesn't look even well built, Honestly i'm surprised she would even have the constitution for any form of stamina."
Ian responds back seemingly annoyed. "Don't underestimate her. Although she may not look like it, I've seen her produce literal afterimages."
His friends all fully looked at him, like he was crazy, and then they laughed at him.
Ian, annoyed would point to Coach W. "Either way, it's almost time to begin, remember the plan. Stop Kappa."
For this specific race, Coach W always made the excuse that he had a real trackrace, they could use that went beyond 400m, but everyone knew Coach W was broke, he couldn't afford a place that had one of those, but either way that wasn't the point.
They would all be running the 400m Track racetrack. The group would follow the lanes, each one being besides Kappa. Kappa paid them no mind, as she seemed "distant" At least that's what it looked like to the group, like she was out of reality. In actuality, our Main Character was just talking to herself in her head. The grunts, of course, are incapable of mind-reading, so from their perspective, Kappa looks like a total dork.
Grunt 4 would speak to kappa taking the initiative, and would speak up to Kappa, and say "Ready to lose, Loser?" Kappa, as if she suddenly just woke up, responds with a neutral expression "Your tuff."
Grunt 4, hearing that kind of response from her in that tone, he took it as an insult. "Just so you know, You won't even be able to get past us fool!" Kappa curious asks "Us?" Grunt 4 realizes his mistake, and says "Don't worry about it grunt, You won't even realize it when it happens."
Coach W, would then finally appear with his watch, and a.. whip? Coach W, looked at the participants, then at Kappa. "Alright everybody. Once I use this here, you all run, understand me?" Coach W, then smirks as he looks down at his whip.
There were some notable coughs, but no one understood Coach, too well. He was old enough to be from the Dark ages after all!
The grunts would speak up commenting at his age. "Why is someone like him not a researcher or something.. Or uh, I don't know, in a retirement home. Track should not be his job…"
The chatters were quickly dissipated by the aura, Coach W emanated, as he was about to swing in motion.
Crack! Though the sound was most definitely not the air, Coach W seemed to have hit a random participant in the kneecap. Either way the race began.
The wind brushed against the racers faces, and hair. with the Sun shining against them. It was a bright and nice day, a good day in fact for a race like this.
Everyone was moving at the same relative speed… Ian in particular was first!
"Phew. Off to a good start, where is she.. I don't see her?" Ian couldn't turn his head a whole 360* degree, or he might fall. The problem is, His friends don't see her either?
"Where is she!" "I don't know?" "She's not a midget, and she most definitely can't go invisible!" "Maybe she left the field, cause she's scared!"
"Can you guys shut up?" A participant who isn't apart of the group running alongside them. is more or just impressed at the fact they can speak like this while moderately running at almost full speeds.
In that same moment, Two of the grunts moved in almost perfect synchronization that it looked almost mesmerizing. In that same motion they pushed her off the track, with her landing on the grass of the field, due to already being on the edge, and being distracted by that perfect synergy.
"HEY! THATS CHEATING!"
She retorts, though Coach W, doesn't seem to be looking as expected.
The two grunts already moved back to their lanes, smirking at her, due to the inability to laugh without losing more stamina than they have too.
It's weird, The grunts didn't see Kappa, nor did Ian.
Oh well, guess we didn't even need to initiate Ian's Plan. That idiot should've just raced normally.. Sometimes I forget, I haven't ran in a while.
Grunt 1 thought to himself.
One person however did happen to see Kappa. As she turns around, to see Kappa just there thinking to herself? At the Starting line too! What is she doing? Is she perhaps stupid or something? The race started 20 seconds ago.
She notices Kappa mutter something under her breath, as she watches the scene unfold.
In that same moment, as she gets up, she witnesses Kappa dash two times in a row…? No Wait! She's doing it consecutively! and she's gaining on them!
Kappa in the span of around 5 seconds, had immediately caught up to the quiet grunt of the group, grunt 5. Grunt 5, didn't even notice Kappa, as he just kept running nonchalantly continuing his run.
Grunt 4, however, was the keen eye of the group. Some could say he can see farther than the average human. He was able to immediately notice Kappa's burst of speed, and notified the others.
"Guys, she was at the starting line the entire time."
"Huh?" "What?" "?" The grunts slow down their pace, to begin formulating their O formation. To capture Kappa in the formation. Formation O, is first initiated by Grunt 1, and 2 being on the side of grunt 3 and 4, the problem is, they don't have grunt 5 with them.
"No matter." as grunt 1 speaks up, while running.
"We will perform AN CIRCUMSCRIBED CIRCLE!" grunt 1 paid attention to some form of geometry,
as he was the most intelligent of the group, Being called a "Genius" in his earlier middle school days. He coordinated the team synergy with the others, and in that same perfect synchronization, they created a trap on each lane, similar to a cage. Kappa quickly responds, as she immediately catches up to them soon after, asking them "Hey grunts, can you move." The grunts all smirk as they close in their cage with Grunts, 3, and 4, going behind kappa in a diagonal motion.
Kappa would tilt her head confused. "What are you guys doing? I kinda have to win this, and I don't want to move you guys aside, since one of you could get hurt."
The grunts respond, rather loudly. "It doesn't matter, as long as you don't win this we don't care!" Kappa's Eyes seems to have a small glint disappearing? as in the next moment, She's in front of all of the grunts. Whoever they were speaking too, was simply an Afterimage. Kappa was already way up ahead of them.
Ian ran with all his strength, Similar to the grunts, he had his own form of talents as well. He was a Dual-Talent, one recognized for his speed and defense. The ultimate package of a runner. That's what he thought until he saw Kappa a year ago.
Thinking back to that moment, he'd grit his teeth, it was so embarrassing he'd rather die.
A Sparkle would then appear in his eyes, as he accelerates near to the end point. A smile forms on his face, as victory is up ahead "I hate her. It's over."
"HOW? YOU WERE AT THE BACK OF THE RACE? THERE'S NO WAY I'M LOSING TO YOU ONCE AGAIN" As soon as he says that he completely acts irrational.
He immediately gets in motion to crash his body against the noodle-armed girl. The plan would end in Kappa being injured, and probably not being able to run for a long while. He'd hope she'd tear her ACL in the process too! A two for one deal.
The problem is, the next moment he made a grave mistake, the girl would simply move to the side by using his body as a center of gravity to push herself off of, to give her more acceleration, ultimately countering his entire plan in that whole process.
Ian can then be seen falling towards the floor with his body in a twisted manner, at high speeds.
"Ah, crap."
