"Why are they building a boat? Is it for that river?"
She'd stare at their creations, and they are pretty bad.
*tick.* The intervals last time she checked had gone from the 25-26 Mark, to now an 37 ticking mark.
Kappa would sigh to herself, Approaching the 'people.' There were around 4 of them. Kappa was pretty good at mimicking people, so her idea was to copy what they were doing to travel the river. There were two problems Kappa did notice though. As she got closer to the group, there was a sign right in front of the piles. The sign spoke in a language she did not understand at all. She could only guess out of the runic words.
The second issue is, as she would stare at these incompetent people…
"DO YOU GUYS EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING??"
One of the people that Kappa decided to name Waffle, was building a horrible looking boat that looks like it wouldn't even float on the water… At least he was building. The second person kappa decided to name, Tod was sitting there with a plank on top of his head. Every 5 minutes, he'd put a plank down.
and Doge… Doge was doing nothing, and one she hasn't thought of a name yet.. Although she was thinking JT, is standing there mindlessly staring at the Sea. Kappa clearly looks annoyed. "How in the world am I supposed to get across that river with these… These… uh, what do I even call the state they are in?"
She'd stare at them some more, and finally decided to accept the reality she's currently in.
"Actually. you know what, maybe if we all work together we can get somewhere."
Kappa would begin walking over to "Waffle." Waffle was repeating the same thing over, and over in a loop. So Kappa began experimenting with these people. She'd first try helping Waffle with his small boat. The first time she did it, it was horrible. The boat was somehow worse than before, in fact it didn't even look like a boat.
"…" Waffle would stare at Kappa, and then tear the boat down, and start again.
Kappa moved on, and went over to Tod. Tod with his plank on his head. She'd take the plank off his head, and tod immediately tried to grab it from her hand. Kappa would swiftly dodge him, a few times, and tod would give up. Once he gives up, Kappa watches as he stands for a few seconds then walks over to the Plank pile, and take another plank. This time he seems to just begin stacking them now.
"This is getting nowhere.."
Kappa honestly had no idea on what to do. She'd look over to Jt, and then turn back to waffle.
"Alright. You know what, one way or another I'm getting out of this nightmare, one way or another. Brain! Any ideas?"
'Buiiillldd a boaaat Kappa…'
"Why in the world are you speaking like a ghost?"
'I don't know'
Kappa would turn her head back to waffle. She's decided her next course of action. Kappa was gonna make the greatest boat she's ever made in her life.
And so began the process. She first began by mimicking Waffle's building, although it was pretty weird, Kappa could understand how he even built the side of the boat. Once taken from that by some stroke of luck. Kappa made a perfect boat on her second try. Maybe it was some hidden boat creation talent that she just had to discover. Either way the boat was done, and she could hear the ticking interval reaching the 46 Mark…?
Kappa could honestly begin to leave now, as she'd grab the sign and place it on the boat after a lot of tugging from the ground. The problem is, she'd feel too bad to just leave these guys here. and for some reason as time goes on, their actions seem to be more.. sluggish? There's no way she could leave these guys behind.
"ALRIGHT! NOW ALL OF YOU GET OVER HERE!" Instantly Waffle moves over to Kappa's perfect boat. It was as if he was using the little bits of his brain power, specifically waiting or creating a boat to sail.
"Well that's one. But about the others…"
The others just stand there, staring at Kappa as if she were an alien.
"…."
Kappa would stare back for a few seconds, then she'd quickly run over and drag jt. Who was the closest. The other seemingly took the que, and followed Kappa to her boat.
"Cool! Now, I'll be Captain of this boat. Heh!"
Kappa realized how stupid that was, and would never say it like that ever again. Though it didn't matter, it looked as if no one registered her words anyways. "Man… I really do feel like I'm forgetting something… it doesn't matter I guess." she thought to herself. What was in front of her was a river. She positioned her passengers to lay themselves within the boat, so nothing would just snatch them or anything…
After that, she tried to read the sign. "Does this read out, straight around four times?" Kappa thought of the possibilities of this being true. While she was thinking, with her vision in the water she could notice a blue bioluminescence light. In fact, there were multiple lights. The lights were rapidly spinning around in the distance. Around a..
"IS THAT A WHIRLPOOL? ALRIGHT YOU GUYS GRAB ONTO THE BOAT"
Kappa would begin to steer the boat trying to at least make sure they don't tip over as it seems currently now. The whirlpool would shift the boat in an unstoppable manner, making it hit a rock as Kappa is steering. This ultimately shook the boat entirely but, thanks to the perfect structure of this boat, It was able to withstand the blow.
Kappa had managed to get through the whirlpool soon after.
A sigh of relief is then let out from Kappa, as she slumps onto the boat.
"Man.. This is a bit scary, but I expected more fighting or something." Kappa isn't too disappointed with this amount of events, but she's more disappointed in the fact, with all the time she was given, she spent her time in combat, and not anything else but combat.
It is then, The bioluminescence lights begin to surround the boat, as they get closer to it at a faster pace. Kappa would notice something at the near corner of her eye, that she'd probably miss if she weren't paying attention.
She can notice a forest pathway, to the right of the boat signifying there is land right there.
"Finally.. We made it somewhere." Ignoring the sign's 'Straight, straight, straight, right." Kappa decides to head into the forest pathway docking the boat at the shore. "Tod, waffle, jt, Doge. Make sure to stay here, alright?" She looked towards her passengers slumped on the boat as she put them, and questioned why she talks to these people like this.
"Idiot.. They won't all of a sudden talk anyways.. Might as well give up trying.." She murmurs to herself.
The pathway was rather dark, or was it bright…?
"Wait a minute.." She slowly begins to realize. Though it was too late, as a bright light consumed her. She stares at something she'd never thought would happen. She stared at the same woodpile, and the beginning of the river she once progressed past. It seems she regressed back to the beginning of this stage of her nightmare.
Restarting back to the beginning.
"What the hell.." Her eyes were vividly twitching, Kappa was showing a rather rare pissed off expression.
Although Kappa hasn't been paying attention, that clock seems to continue to tick. As a large tick can be heard when it hits the 63rd mark.
Kappa has forgotten something once again.
