Raya grumbled under her breath as she walked back into the room she shared with Adrian.
The moment the door closed behind her, the tension she had been holding in finally cracked, just a little. Her shoulders dropped, her steps slowed, and the sharp edge in her eyes softened.
Anna was sitting on the edge of the bed, scrolling through her phone patiently, as though she had been waiting for hours instead of minutes. The moment she saw Raya's expression, she straightened.
"What's wrong with you?" Anna asked immediately, eyes narrowing in concern. "Did he hurt you? Why are you wearing this" she jam-packed her with a lot of questions
The question came fast. Pressing. Protective.
Raya blinked, then laughed softly as she shook her head. "No. He's not a monster," she said, waving a hand dismissively. "He's just… annoying."
Anna didn't relax completely, but she leaned back slightly, watching Raya carefully.
"What did he do?" she asked.
