Something about his tone told her this conversation was over... No more debates
But Raya exist only to go against Adrian
"I won't change," Raya said flatly, lifting her chin as she faced Adrian. "There's nothing wrong with my clothes."
Her voice was steady. Defiant. Certain.
And she meant every word.
She stood there in front of him in her pajamas, simple, comfortable, utterly unremarkable. A loose shirt paired with soft shorts, the kind people wore to sleep, to lounge, to exist without effort. Nothing was torn. Nothing was obscene. Nothing screamed attention.
So why was he looking at her like this?
Why was he acting as though she had committed some unspoken crime?
