------------

"Very good, very good! Let's give a round of applause for Mr. Morin and thank him for this magnificent dinner he has prepared for me. I declare that tonight's show is now over..."

Daniel nodded and clapped his hands, walking toward the backstage area while speaking. Suddenly, Morin covered Daniel's mouth and dragged him back.

Daniel's exaggerated flailing and kicking was completely ineffective as he was dragged across the stage, causing the audience to burst into laughter once again.

Of course, they could see this was all for show, but they still found it highly entertaining.

Compared to the usual arrogant magic performances, this kind of exaggerated and comedic act was much more interesting.

"Ahem, don't be in such a hurry. I mean, would I really use such a huge table, place only one dish on it, and call it a magnificent dinner?"

Morin asked the audience after dragging Daniel back and getting him to stand still, deliberately walking slowly around the table.

"Would I do something like that?"

Standing next to him, Daniel's face was expressionless. He sneered, "If it were anyone else, I might have my doubts. But you? You're definitely capable of it."

Another round of laughter erupted from the audience.

"Ahem, that was just an appetizer, you see? Not the main course!" Morin explained.

"What?" Daniel was taken aback. "That wasn't the main course?"

"Then where is the main course?" Daniel looked around. "I don't see a food cart."

"Where are you looking? It's right here, isn't it?" Morin pointed to the single covered dish on the table.

Daniel was dumbfounded. "I feel like you're trying to fool me." His resentful tone made the audience roar with laughter again.

"Of course not! Do I look like that kind of person?" Morin waved his hand. "Just wait a moment, and I'll conjure up the magnificent dinner I'm giving you tonight!"

The audience cheered with excitement.

Coming to the table, Morin picked up the lid, about to place it over the dish.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Daniel quickly stopped him.

"What's wrong?"

"Same old rule, we can't forget this part," Daniel said, turning to the audience. "As I've always told you, the closer you get..."

"The less you see!" the audience shouted in unison.

"So..." Daniel walked to the side of the stage. "You, you, and you... come up here!"

"Well, if that's the case, it looks like I need to prepare something for our guests to eat." Morin frowned theatrically.

"Mmhmm, that's only right," Daniel nodded.

"Then..." Morin hesitated. "How about a magnificent dinner appetizer?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Morin lifted the lid, and the dish was now overflowing with french fries!

"What?"

"How did he do that?"

"Wow!"

The audience was abuzz with exclamations. They were no strangers to watching magic, and had been keeping a close eye on Morin's every move.

But as far as they could tell, Morin had simply placed the lid over the dish, and his hands hadn't left or disappeared. Yet, when he removed the lid, the empty plate was now filled with french fries!

What they didn't realize was that their astonishment had only just begun.

After distributing the french fries to the audience members Daniel had invited on stage, Morin asked them to inspect the dish and the lid for any irregularities.

"Alright, our guests have inspected the dish and the lid, and there are no issues..." Morin showed the two items to the rest of the audience, about to proceed with the next step, when he was interrupted by Daniel.

"No, there's a problem!" Daniel declared.

"You're going to spoil my trick?" Morin looked at Daniel with a shocked expression, which again made the audience burst into laughter.

"Hmph, of course! Do I look like the kind of person who would let my conscience be bothered for a performance?" Daniel chuckled, walked over to Morin, and took the dish and the lid, placing them on the table.

"This is only one dish! Even if you can conjure up some food, how much can you make?" "That's not enough for me to eat!"

The entire venue was silent for three seconds before erupting in laughter. They had initially thought Daniel was about to reveal the secret of the magic trick and held their breath, waiting in suspense.

They never expected that after such a righteous and dramatic speech, Daniel's only point would be that there weren't enough dishes to hold the food!

While amused, they also began to wonder subconsciously could Morin really conjure up a lot of things?

"Well... I can't do anything about that," Morin said, frowning. "I only prepared one dish for today..."

"That's easy enough, isn't it?" Daniel picked up the dish and turned around. When he turned back, he had two dishes in his hands!

"Wow!" Morin exclaimed at the right moment, prompting the audience to join in.

Placing the extra dish on the table, Daniel turned around again, and pulled out yet another one! He repeated this several times until the large table was full and there was no more room.

Morin's eyes widened. He went over to Daniel, stretched out his hands, and began to unbutton his suit, muttering, "I suspect there are dozens of dishes hidden inside this suit. Audience, wait a moment, let me pull them out for you..."

Daniel naturally didn't want Morin to succeed, and he struggled and ran away. This interaction once again made the audience burst into laughter.

"Alright, I'll temporarily stop questioning where you pulled out all these dishes from," Morin said, coming to the table and shaking his head in feigned exasperation.

"I'm more curious now, if I really filled all these dishes with food... could you even finish them?"

"Are you some kind of competitive eater?" Morin walked over to Daniel and poked his stomach. "You don't look like it!"

"Hey, stop messing around!" Daniel slapped Morin's hand away. "I can't finish it, but all these audience members who support us can, can't they?"

"Yes, we can!" "I can eat!" "I want a magnificent dinner!" The audience instantly erupted in cheers.

After such a long buildup, the atmosphere had reached a fever pitch!

"Alright, alright, it seems you're all foodies. But then again, who doesn't love good food?" Morin pressed down with his hands in the air to signal for the audience to quiet down.

"In that case..." Morin picked up a dish and a lid, showing them to the audience again. "What do you want to eat?"

The audience immediately became chaotic, with everyone shouting out different dishes.

"Wait, who said they want to eat me?" Morin interrupted. "I mean food, understand? By the way, that lady, yes, you, the one who just said they want to eat me, remember to give me your number later."

The audience roared with laughter again.

"Alright, I've received all your requests," Morin nodded seriously. "Then, first, a medium-rare Wellington steak!"

Next, Morin put the dish back in its place and covered it with the lid. When he took it off again, a Wellington steak appeared in the previously empty dish!

The audience's cheers were so loud they nearly ripped the roof off the building. This kind of magic was simply unbelievable!

Afterward, Morin continued to repeat the process. Each time the lid was removed, a new delicious dish appeared, until the entire table was filled with different kinds of food, either the most difficult to make or the most delicious.

"This magic performance Magnificent Dinner is hereby..." Morin stretched out his arms, enjoying the cheers of the audience as he prepared to declare the show's end.

"Wait, wait, wait!" Daniel, standing on the side, quickly interrupted. "Did you forget something?"

"What?"

"The cutlery!" Daniel shook his head speechlessly. From his shallow suit pocket, he pulled out a pair of knives and forks that were far too long to fit. One pair after another, he produced them until there was a pair for every dish!

Amidst the audience's cheers, staff members came out to distribute the food.

"Then," Morin and Daniel exchanged a look and bowed together. "This magic performance Magnificent Dinner is now over!"

...

The next day.

"How is it?" Morin asked, with one leg crossed over the other, his slender fingers expertly shuffling a deck of cards.

"The newspapers are saying things like, 'Magic as if it were magic,' 'a marvelous innovation,' 'the combination of comedy and magic' it's all positive reviews!" Daniel said, picking up one newspaper after another.

"I told you so," Morin said, as if everything was within his expectations. "The combination of traditional Chinese cross-talk and magic not only enriches your persona and creates a sense of contrast, giving the audience a fresh experience, but it also allows the magic to be performed amidst the humor."

"And the comedy can also appropriately distract them," Daniel marveled. "It's simply perfect!"

"The only downside is that the performance difficulty is increased and it's easy to make mistakes, but for us... that can be avoided."

Morin slightly bent the deck of cards, then spread his fingers, letting the cards rapidly fly out one by one.

But the cards didn't scatter randomly; instead, they vanished into thin air the moment they were shot out!

After all the cards were gone, Morin pulled out the same deck from his pocket.

"Tell me, how many times can you use this ability of yours?" Daniel asked curiously as he turned on the TV. "I only transferred those dishes and cutlery, and I was almost completely exhausted."

"I'm not exactly sure... I've never been completely drained from using it this way," Morin thought for a moment, shook his head, and looked at the TV.

"How about we switch to the news channel? I bet our performance has been reported."

Daniel did as he was told, and sure enough, the news was reporting on how amazing their magic performance was.

"Forget it, there's nothing to see. Get ready, this is just the beginning," Morin said, standing up, stretching, and walking away. "After a few more performances, we can proceed with our next plan!"

"Where are you going? And what about that magnificent dinner you promised?" Daniel called after him.

"You've been putting it off for days!"

"Come on, didn't I already treat you yesterday?" Morin said without looking back. "It's just that you gave it all away to the audience..."

"What?" Daniel was dumbfounded. He thought Morin had been joking!
