After causing a commotion on the bus, Theresia and Ace were now kicked off. The person who had called them out forced them to leave, not wanting any more trouble. Theresia's screams were disturbing the other passengers.
"Solve your problems first, kids!" the bus driver shouted, and after dropping off Theresia and Ace, he continued on his way.
Theresia clicked her tongue in annoyance, stamping her feet in frustration. Look, because of Ace, she was dropped off on the side of the road by the bus driver. Theresia turned to look at Ace, who stood casually beside her, looking innocent.
"Hey! This is all your fault! If you hadn't gotten on and bothered me, I wouldn't have been dropped off here. Damn it!" Theresia grumbled, folding her arms across her chest. She turned her head, looking for another vehicle she could take to get to work.
Ace shrugged indifferently, feeling no responsibility for the situation. He didn't know why he smiled when Theresia was ranting; it looked funny to him. Maybe Ace's eyes had been blinded by Theresia's charm, as evidenced by the fact that he immediately agreed to meet his mate, Theresia.
"You look cute when you're angry, like this. I'll get my car and take you there," replied Ace.
Theresia closed her eyes for a moment, then turned back with a forced smile and said, "Are you really going to do that?"
Ace nodded in response to Theresia's question. Of course, he would do anything for that woman. Because now Ace was starting to fall head over heels for Theresia.
"Then go..." Theresia paused for a moment, brought her face closer to Ace's, then said again, "Go and don't come back! I don't want to see you again!" After saying that, Theresia immediately left, walking quickly away from Ace. Her expression immediately turned angry again, and Theresia continued to grumble all the way.
Meanwhile, Ace remained silent and stood where he was, staring at Theresia, who was getting further and further away from him. This time he didn't want to chase after Theresia and would give the girl some time to herself. What about what Theresia had just said? Ace didn't take it seriously at all; Ace didn't care whether Theresia accepted him or not. What was clear was that Theresia was Ace's mate and that couldn't be changed by anyone.
"Okay, I'll go. But I'll be back later, Theresia," said Ace with a slight smile, turning around with his hands in his pants pockets. Then he walked away casually.
"Aaaa! Help!" A loud scream caught Ace's attention.
As he was about to dash away, Ace's ears picked up the scream of someone who had been on his mind for the past few days. Without thinking twice, Ace ran as fast as the wind towards that person.
"Theresia!" Ace shouted in surprise when he saw that Theresia was in danger.
Sure enough, it was Theresia who had just screamed. Ace also saw two men pointing guns at the girl, which made Ace clench his fists in anger. He quickly approached Theresia.
While Theresia was indeed being held up by two thugs trying to take her bag, she tried to fight back but didn't use her magical powers. As a result, Theresia lost and fell to the floor several times.
Seeing Theresia fall, Ace immediately crouched down in front of her and said, "Are you okay?"
Theresia looked up. "Ace, why are you here?" she asked, accepting Ace's outstretched hand, then standing up with Ace's help.
"To protect you," Ace replied with a sweet smile.
Theresia stood silently, feeling a little guilty for having cursed Ace earlier. Even so, Ace was still willing to help her. Theresia remembered her grandfather's words, who had once said that Ace could protect her, and now it had been proven true.
Ace walked towards the two thugs who had taken Theresia's bag with a blank stare, then said, "Give back the bag!"
The two thugs just laughed loudly, not willing to give up what they had taken so easily. One of them took a pocket knife out of his pants pocket and pointed it at Ace.
However, that didn't stop Ace at all; he continued walking without fear. His gaze was flat and expressionless; a pocket knife alone was not enough to scare an Alpha werewolf.
"I'll say it again, give back the bag!" Ace shouted, starting to get emotional.
"What if I don't want to?" one of the thugs said dismissively.
Ace clenched his fists; he didn't like being talked back to. He stood right in front of the thug carrying the knife. The knife was right in front of Ace's heart; one movement and the knife would pierce Ace's heart.
"I'm still being kind to you; give me back the bag, and I'll let you live!" Ace said emphatically, his hand moving to grab the knife with his bare hand.
"Ace!" Theresia screamed when she saw Ace's hand covered in blood from gripping the folding knife, but his expression remained flat. It was very different when Ace was facing Theresia.
The two thugs were shocked to see Ace's actions, especially since the knife broke in two after Ace squeezed it. This made the two thugs begin to feel uneasy and afraid.
Meanwhile, Ace just smiled crookedly at the two men in front of him. Even though Ace hadn't used his true power yet, they were already shocked.
"Give me back the bag, or I'll make sure you guys end up like this knife!" Ace said again, throwing the knife in any direction.
The two thugs slowly backed away, intending to flee. This made Ace even more furious, and he kicked the two thugs roughly, knocking them down. Not only that, but Ace also beat them with his bare hands until they were helpless.
"You'd better die!" Ace said with a smirk, then his fangs came out as he was about to bite the man's neck.
"Ace, stop!" Theresia shouted, holding Ace's hand as he was about to bite the two thugs again.
Ace stopped, then turned to look at Theresia with a slight smile. Meanwhile, Theresia was shocked by the change in Ace's irises, which had turned yellow like a wolf's.
"Ace?" Theresia called softly; she didn't expect Ace to turn into a werewolf so quickly. Theresia's eyes couldn't look away from Ace, who was in werewolf mode, his eyes looking like a wolf's. His sharp fangs were clearly visible, not to mention his nails, which had grown longer on their own.
Theresia took a few steps back, swallowing hard. Was she really facing a werewolf now? Theresia still felt uncomfortable even though Ace was kind to her; after all, immortal creatures were very dangerous to her. Theresia didn't want Ace to interfere with her life even more someday.
"Enough, Ace!" Theresia shouted.
