Chapter 8 - chapter 08

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Aiden and his friends were searching Hans's house for clues to Theresia's whereabouts. A few minutes later, Aiden found a book. Suddenly, he read it carefully. Who would have thought that the book was Hans's writings containing his experiences and complaints, like a diary?

"I finally found it," Aiden muttered with a smirk when he got a clue from the book.

"I'll get that holy blood girl soon!" Aiden continued confidently, having been after Theresia for a long time. This time, Aiden might not let Theresia get away, so he could get the holy blood.

After saying that, Aiden immediately left, followed by the other vampires. Aiden didn't care whether Hans lived or died; the most important thing was that he got what he wanted now. Meanwhile, the witches began to gather to check on Hans' condition and think about his funeral afterwards.

Instead of going straight to where Theresia was, Aiden first went to the palace to check on his father, who had been unconscious for a long time. Only Theresia's holy blood could save William, the vampire king and Aiden's father, which was why Aiden was trying so hard to obtain it.

As soon as he stepped into the vampire palace, James, William's confidant, approached Aiden with bad news.

"Prince, sorry to interrupt your journey. But this is very bad," James said, bowing his head.

Aiden stopped in his tracks and said, "What is it?"

"King William is getting worse. If you don't give him holy blood immediately... the king might..." James' words trailed off.

Before James could continue, Aiden immediately pushed James away from him. Aiden ran to his father's room. Upon arriving, he found only his mother crying beside his father, and Aiden didn't like seeing his mother cry.

"Mom," Aiden called out, patting Calista's shoulder several times.

Calista turned around, smiled as she wiped her tears, then hugged Aiden tightly and said, "Did you get the holy blood? Your father must be saved immediately, Aiden."

"Mom, calm down. I already know where that girl is. I'll bring her to Dad soon, so don't cry anymore," said Aiden softly, without any hurtful words or harsh treatment like he gave to other people. Even though Aiden was very evil and sadistic, when it came to his parents, he became gentle. Unconsciously, sometimes people are forced to become evil by circumstances.

Calista smiled broadly and nodded enthusiastically. "I'm sure you can do it, Aiden," she said again, hugging Aiden tightly.

Aiden smiled and returned his mother's hug. He had sworn to bring his father pure blood. So that William could live as he once did, Aiden didn't want to lose his father. Even if it meant doing the wrong thing, Aiden didn't care.

On a very bright morning in Alaska, Theresia was getting ready for work. But since then, Theresia had been feeling uneasy, restless, and anxious, but she didn't know why.

"Ah... Maybe it's just my imagination." Not wanting to be late for the cafe, Theresia finally decided to ignore her feelings and headed straight for the bus stop.

Theresia walked leisurely to the bus stop, wearing simple clothes, namely jeans paired with an oversized black shirt. Her hair was left loose, adding to her charm. She looked natural without makeup but still looked beautiful and charming. It was no wonder that Ace was crazy about Theresia.

After arriving at the bus stop, Theresia chose to sit on a bench while listening to music with headphones plugged into her ears. Theresia also closed her eyes while leaning back in her seat. Perhaps that was what made her relax for a moment and forget her problems.

Everything was peaceful and relaxed, but that moment was shattered when someone suddenly sat next to Theresia and then began to disturb her by pulling the headphones from her ears and then wearing them without permission.

Theresia immediately opened her eyes and turned to see who had come and disturbed her on this bright morning. After finding out who it was, Theresia could only sigh in resignation. It wasn't that Theresia was reluctant to get angry, but she was tired of dealing with that person.

"Ace!" Theresia said sarcastically, closing her eyes for a moment to calm her anger.

"You look beautiful today, Theresia," Ace said with a slight smile.

After Ace said that, the bus that Theresia had been waiting for finally arrived. Theresia quickly and roughly pulled the headset from Ace's ears, then ran onto the bus, hoping Ace wouldn't follow her again. Theresia was in a bad mood; she didn't want to deal with Ace anymore.

"Damn it, I'll kill him later. How dare he use my headset? I have to clean it so I don't catch his virus." Theresia grumbled incessantly after getting a seat; she took out a tissue to clean her headset. Theresia didn't like her things being used by other people, especially strangers. That's why she cleaned it as quickly as possible.

Unbeknownst to Theresia, the person she was cursing was right next to her, staring at her with an enigmatic smile.

Yes, Ace had managed to get on the bus. Ace was also sitting next to Theresia now, listening intently to the girl's words. Instead of getting angry, Ace laughed lightly and ruffled Theresia's hair.

"Why are you so cute, hm? It's no wonder you're my mate; you're so cute," said Ace with a meaningful smile.

Theresia turned her head and was suddenly surprised to see Ace beside her. "You? Why are you here? Since when, huh?" she asked in a high-pitched voice.

"Calm down, I'll answer one by one," said Ace, straightening up and continuing, "I've been here for a long time, and you didn't realize it."

Theresia rolled her eyes, growling angrily because Ace was so annoying. Her hand moved to hit Ace's arm roughly. "Damn it! Did you hear what I said earlier?" She asked again with a sharp, piercing gaze.

Ace nodded with the same smile, even though he looked cute and handsome. But being handsome alone couldn't melt Theresia's heart.

"Arghh, damn it! Get out of here! You idiot, I hate you, Ace!" Theresia continued to beat Ace mercilessly, screaming hysterically without caring about the stares of the other passengers watching them.

"Hey, you two! Stop fighting!" Someone's shout managed to stop Theresia.

A man yelled at Theresia and Ace, causing Theresia to stop what she was doing. They both turned to look at the man. Theresia swallowed hard and lowered her head.

"This is bad," Theresia muttered with a frown. She was so angry because what should have been a bright morning was ruined by Ace's arrival, which had disturbed her. Theresia was truly furious with the man named Ace!
