Chapter 1: Another World...?
Zhen Wei always thought life should be simple. Wake up with the sun, work the land, enjoy the quiet forest, and ignore the noise outside. That was his dream — a peaceful life far from cities, crowds, and chasing fame or money.
However, he discovered that dreams don't always align with reality.
He woke up suddenly, smelling the damp earth. The soft light of dawn shone through the trees, making patterns on the mossy ground. Wei slowly sat up, rubbed his eyes, and looked around. The Forest was just as he remembered — tall trees with twisting branches, ferns whispering in the breeze, and a distant cry of a phoenix.
All he wanted was peace.
He reached into his bag and took out a simple wooden flute. He played a calm tune, one he learned from an old hermit. The music blended with the sounds of nature, like a lullaby for the forest.
As Wei closed his eyes, he felt happy. This was his safe place. This was the life he wanted.
But peace in the Forest was fragile.
Suddenly, a small shake made the ground tremble. Wei opened his eyes, worried. The trees around him shook, and leaves rustled wildly. In the distance, a strange, shimmering light flickered — not from the sun or stars. It pulsed like a heartbeat, growing brighter.
Wei stood up carefully, brushing himself off. "What now?" he muttered, already feeling uneasy.
The light grew stronger. Then, with a flash, a swirling portal opened in the air, full of colors he had never seen. Wei took a step back, eyes wide.
From the portal, a figure appeared — wearing shiny robes and holding an old scroll. The figure looked right at Wei, with urgent eyes.
"Traveler," the figure called out, voice strange and echoing, "your life is about to change. Be careful, this forest has more than just trees and streams. It hides secrets, dangerous ones."
Before Wei could say anything, the portal shimmered again, and the figure disappeared in a flash of light.
Wei froze, his heart pounding. For a moment, he wondered if this was just a dream. But the cool breeze and the lingering glow told him otherwise.
He sighed and looked at the familiar trees. Part of him wanted to go back to his quiet life, grab his flute, and forget this strange encounter.
But another part — the curious part — whispered: Maybe I should check this out.
Taking a deep breath, Wei decided, "If I have to get involved, I'll do it my way. No heroics, no Girls — just peace... and maybe some fun."
He put the old scroll in his pocket and headed into the forest, ready for whatever adventures awaited — even if they were a little chaotic.
