Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – The Olowokere Legacy

In the esteemed family of Olowokere, there were five children and three wives, a harmonious blend of love and respect flourished among his wives and children. The family's tranquil atmosphere was a testament to Olowokere's wise leadership and his ability to foster a sense of unity and understanding. The children, beneficiaries of their father's vision and generosity, received topnotch education abroad, broadening their perspectives and prepairing them for future responsibilities. Upon their return to Nigeria, with utmost trust and confidence, Olowokere entrusted his children with the reins of his vast business empire. As appointed heirs, they were catapulted into positions of authority, vice chairmen, overseeing the diverse interests and investment of their father's conglomerate. Their ascension to leadership earned them widespread recognition within society, as the worthy successors of Olowokere's legacy. Their elevated status was further solidified by the respect and difference accorded to them by the community, who acknowledged their exceptional upbringing, education, and now their stewardship of the family's business interests.

Four out of the five children had married, while the last born was still single and carefree. The family comprised three males and two females.

The first wife's children; 1st born, Opeyemi, he was a kind, generous, and compassionate man, just like his father. 2nd born, Ayomide, she was a beautiful woman with a charisma and charming personality.

The second wife's children; 3rd born, Adeola, he was a vibrant and energetic individual who loved to paint the town red. 4th born; Gabriel, he was a handsome man, highly respected among his peers.

The third wife's child; 5th born, Yetunde, she was the sole single sibling, embracing a carefree existence that allowed her to live life on her own terms.

Adepoju Olowokere was an exceedingly wealthy man, with a fortune so vast and it was considered insurmountable. He was renowned as one of the top 10 richest individuals in the country. Olowokere was a charitable and open-handed man with a vast number of good deeds and great reputations. He had five companies, and each of his children worked in the companies. Each company had one child, and their positions were vice chairmen, while their father was the CEO of the companies. He didn't had a will, but he had already appointed his children as vice chairmen of his companies. None of his children lived with him, they all resided in their own grand mansions. He showed a great fatherly love for his children and treated them equally and fairly. Olowokere had three wives, and they previously lived together under the same roof. However, a violent conflict erupted among them two years ago, leading to a bitter seperation and eventual drifted apart. Meanwhile, the eldest wife lived with Olowokere, while the other two wives lived in different appartments.

One destined day, Olowokere was stopped by the elderly, blind woman who he always gave alms to everyday, whenever he was going and coming back from his office. That day, the old, blind woman told him a mysterious prophecy that he would be killed sooner or later. And the masterminds behind his attempted murder would be two of his children. And the elderly, blind woman revealed the exact date the intriguing event was going to take place. However, the elderly, blind woman made it clear to him that the faces and identities of the two children of Olowokere, wasn't revealed to her in the vision. Olowokere sadly left the place after hearing the mysterious prophecy.

The next day, when Olowokere was going to his office, he looked at the spot where the woman always stayed, but found no one. He looked for the woman everywhere but he could not locate the woman and his efforts were futile, for the woman had vanished into thin air; who knows, the prediction might be the price for his kindness and generosity.

Upon hearing the prediction, Olowokere took action wisely. He believed in prophecy, and believed what the elderly, blind woman told him. He initially had his own suspicious, but he was bewildered and was not certain. And now, his suspicions seem to be confirmed and accurate after hearing the ominous prophecy. However, he was chilled to the bone after hearing the prophecy. The words hung in the air like a dark cloud, casting a shadow of fear over his heart. A shiver ran down his spine as he tried to process the ominous warning , his mind racing to the worst-case scenarios. Olowokere could not shake it off the feeling that his life would be ended by his children. The ominous prophecy had planted a seed of dread in his mind, and he could not help but wonder if his own flesh and blood would ultimately betrayed him.
