"Then I'll trust you, brat. I chose the Titan's Bloodline."
Garp ultimately decided to go with the Titan's bloodline. He was currently ignorant about the consequences of the choice but it should not be that bad, right?
Kitse walked at the back counter of the guild and pulled out a small cabinet. Garp tried to sneak a peek at the cabinet but he couldn't see anything.
Kitse pulled out a small vial filled with a deep crimson liquid that seemed extremely viscous.
He walked straight to Garp and handed the vial over.
"Drink it. It might be a bit violent, so I'll help you with refining it."
Garp took the vial and his eyes turned stern with determination. He took a deep breath and drank the liquid in one fluid motion.
Spicy!!
It was the first thought that came to Garp's mind.
But then he could feel a ball of molten lava slide down his esophagus into his stomach.
BOOM!
His body trembled violently as soon as the 'lava' hit his stomach. Unable to hold on, he knelt down directly.
Kitse moved to his back and placed his hand in Garp's back. A deep purple glow covered his hands and flowed towards Garp.
"Hold on, Garp-san. Your bloodline is being upgraded directly. Try to remain conscious as much as you can. If you are lucky, you may get a bloodline inheritance of the Titans."
Garp's pained face grew even more determined as he heard Kitse's words. He grit his teeth and held on.
The 'lava' in his body seemed to spread from his body to his heart and then continued to spread throughout his body. His body temperature rose rapidly but there was a mysterious energy flowing from his back that was making it possible for him to hold on.
Suddenly, amidst the chaos, unusual images began appearing on his mind.
He saw a giant, muscular man standing in a brightly lit room. The man had a bronze sheen on his skin and held a giant hammer in hand. His gaze was focused and his will was resolute enough for Garp himself to feel it. The man took his hammer and swung down on a massive anvil like structure.
Over and over again. The hammering was resolute and powerful but Garp could tell, every strike was well calculated and every strike had a reason.
The man was tempering a massive steel-like material and he kept at it for a very long time.
As Garp kept on watching, the man slowly spoke. Hos voice was cold but it held a peaceful emotion.
"If you are watching now, you may have inherited my Kolse. Watch closely, ye who inherited my blood, this is the mark of a Titan's royalty. It is called Polarity Forging."
The man began explaining his hammer techniques and Garp slowly absorbed every word the Titan said, forgetting about the soul-crushing pain that was assaulting his body.
Kitse looked at the now calm Garp and smirked faintly.
"So, you kept your entire Kolse in your blood essence. As expected of the madman."
Time passed slowly and Garp finally regained consciousness. The pain assaulting his body was now long gone and he could feel the endless vitality coursing through his veins.
Just as he was about to say something, the door to the guild opened up and a lanky, dark-skinned man walked up from the door.
The man had a pink-feathered coat on his back and his distinctive colored shades made him a remarkably memorable man.
His strides were long and playful but there was a strong confidence radiating from him. His smile never left his lips but seeing Garp made his expression freeze a little.
Donquixote Doflamingo.
Doflamingo looked at the marine hero in front of him and couldn't help but take a deep breath.
'What is this enormous pressure coming from this old fossil? Haki? no. This isn't Haosoku either. Looks like this place is much more interesting than it seems.'
Doflamingo had seen Garp a few months back when the Seven Warlords of the Sea had been called but he never felt such a pressure from the man.
Doflamingo turned his attention to the other person in the room and probably the owner of the place but Kitse spoke to Garp first.
"Congratulations, Garp-san. You have gained the partial bloodline of the Titan royalty. You have now completed your first mission. You can come back to the guild and take on another mission one month from now on."
Garp nodded without much surprise. The information about his bloodline was already mentioned by the Titan in the memories he saw.
Doflamingo, however froze when he heard Kitse's sentence.
'Partial bloodline of Titan royalty? Mission? What are those? and why is this fossil so well behaved in front of this man.'
Garp currently felt a deep exhaustion down to his bones because of the bloodline integration. However his feeling was mistaken for obedience in front of the young flamingo.
"Alright. I will be on my way now."
Doflamingo's grin slowly widened as he saw the marine hero disappear from where he stood.
Fufufu...
What exactly have I walked into?
