I fell into the arms of darkness . Probably because I was still weak from the medicine , my body craved sleeping .
Even in my sleep , I could feel Liam's body against me. I waited for him to leave but he never did .
It felt like it had been forever after which I heard the voices talking .
" You are not welcomed here ."
" I know ."
" How did you even find us ? Wait , are you seriously tracking my sister ?"
" Yeah , Sunshine corporation has tracking device set for every member of our family."
" Is it her phone ? Is she getting tracked cause of her phone ?"
" Would you rather that she get kidnapped again and there is no way to know where she is ?"
" Do you even have an idea who kidnapped her?"
" We...we are still trying ."
" It's Rupert Hunter, your dad , you moron ."
" What are you even talking about ?"
" I said your fucking dad kidnapped her at a gunpoint and blackmailed her !"
" How do you know it ?"
" She told me ! Do you even have any idea how fucking scary it is to know my sister got kidnapped?"
" She is also my wife ."
" Yeah , more like your scrap goat."
" Jasper , listen -"
" You are not allowed to call me by my name , do you understand? "
I groaned. The conversation was giving me a headache.
" Give her to me ! What do you even plan to do with her now ?!"
" Listen , she is sleeping !"
" How is that any of your business? Sister ! Hey , wake up !"
I felt gentle pat on my face.
I sat up , trying to blink away the sleep . My eyes were burning . My throat felt like it was brewing Gobi desert .
And then the last night came rushing into my memory .
The drunk call - getting caught while crying over my marriage picture - the running around the block and then bring carried inside - the kisses on the couch and then more crying - everything came rushing in .
I knew that it was not solely my fault . If Liam had decided to leave things as it be , it might not have turned out like this .
I got out of the sofa and looked at him ," Why haven't you left yet ?"
" I suppose you don't want me to explain infront of your brother how you clung to me in your sleep and begged me not to leave ?," he raised an eyebrow.
" You are lying !," I narrowed my eyes .
" Well ,I did call my manager last night and some of your sleeptalk got recorded into the call recording , do you wanna hear it ?," he challenged me .
I looked at my brother ,""Don't listen to him , he is definitely lying ."
He rolled his eyes .
" But that's not what's important right now ," Liam cut me off ," Julia , please , I have to hear about it , can you tell me one by one everything you remember during your kidnapping?"
" Why must I ?"
" Yeah , why should she tell you ?," Jasper agreed with me ," There is police and me. We will definitely figure it out. "
" The problem is , there is no security footage of her getting kidnapped . The police had no idea since there was no license plate on the car and none of the security footage on the road even caught the car . That means that someone had deleted all of them . The massive work it took for a single kidnapping case means they have influence both inside Sunshine corporation and also the government. Do you realise how worrisome it is ? Jasper Dane , do you want to leave your sister's fate to uncertainty like this ?"
Jasper looked at me with big brown eyes . Both of us were realising how bad the situation really was . I mastered up a smile to not scare my baby brother .
But his grip on my hand only got tighter .
" Sis ," he was begging me now ," I don't like this ," and then he looked at Liam ," If you can and then help her ."
I knew how much Jayjay hated my husband, so the amount of fear it took him to trust Liam only spoke volume of the worry he had for me .
" Fine , but let me have my coffee first ," I , finally gave in .
I knew that Liam had a busy schedule. So I did not really expect him to wait for me .
But he did .
Both him and my brother stayed glued to the sofa until I started speaking .
I started my story from when I met Daniel at Sunshine's parking lot . I was lost in the memory for a while . In the mid story , I finally noticed their expressions.
They looked like they were watching a horror movie .
" Go on ," Liam urged me , he looked like he was in pain by just speaking up .
When I got to Rupert's deal/ blackmailing, Liam finally got up from the sofa and went to the kitchen basin .
I had an idea that he did not exactly have a good relationship with his father. But the way Rupert Hunter had treated me , I was pretty sure that he was getting flashbacks of his own traumatic childhood from hearing my story .
When I was finally finished , my brother stared at me like he had lost everything.
" I am going to kill that man someday ," Jasper hissed .
I stretched my hand to grab his arm , smiling. I was grateful for his support but I also did not want him to take any kind of rush action deriven by sheer anger and ill will .
And Liam ..he was already calling his mother .
He looked at us and said ," Pack your bags , we are leaving ."
