Sugar Lacaforte
"Wow, the traffic is really bad today," I muttered to myself in dismay.
Of all times to be in a hurry and almost twenty minutes late for class, that's when bad luck decides to strike. I'm sure I'll get a lecture from Mrs. Lhust. Oh man, that shrew is going to give me an attitude again.
"If anyone's in a hurry, just walk! It doesn't look like this vehicle is going anywhere with this traffic!" the male driver shouted, scratching his head in frustration.
I squeezed my eyes shut in annoyance. When I opened them, other passengers were already starting to get off, so I joined them. No choice, or I'd be stuck on the road forever.
I walked and ran until I reached the school. My eyes nearly popped out when I checked my watch. I'm an hour late!
I sprinted as fast as I could, feeling the tension building in my body. I was practically drenched in sweat from all the running.
If only I could skip her class, I would've gone home a long time ago. But that would be a huge mistake. One of her rules is no absences without valid reasons and proof. Because if not, you fail immediately.
Gasping for air, I stopped in front of our classroom door. I took a deep breath to calm down. Hesitantly, I raised my left hand and knocked three times.
Just a moment later, the door suddenly opened. Her angelic face greeted me. My nervousness doubled as we locked eyes, her gaze even more intimidating than when she was angry. Her aura was so fearsome that even without her saying a word, you'd be scared. But her stare felt different to me, the opposite of what others felt.
The way she crossed her arms, ugh! It's one of the things I always look forward to, you know why?
Her cleavage. So delicious, or rather, so alluring. If she tightened her arms against her chest any more, it would really pop out.
I was enjoying the staring a little too much when she suddenly cleared her throat, causing me to focus back on her face. I swallowed hard when I saw her raise an eyebrow.
If only I could skip her class, I would've gone home a long time ago. But that would be a huge mistake. One of her rules is no absences without valid reasons and with proof. Because if not, you fail immediately.
Gasping for air, I stopped in front of our classroom door. I took a deep breath to calm down. Hesitantly, I raised my left hand and knocked three times.
I was about to speak and apologize for being late, but before I could even open my mouth, she suddenly slammed the door in my face.
I flinched and stepped back in shock.
How rude! She didn't even let me speak first, and just slammed the door on me. That old hag is such a pain.
I rubbed my face and leaned against the wall of the room in dismay. I'll just wait for class to end so I can talk to Ma'am. I don't want to fail her subject, or I'll be in big trouble with Mom.
It's my last year in college now, so I'm striving to maintain my grades in all subjects. All my grades have been high from first year to third year, so I can't allow any problems to arise now that I'm in the final chapter. And it's worst in her subject of all subjects.
It just so happened that I was late today because I stayed up late last night reading on Wattpad; I'm hooked on this certain story.
Soon, the bell rang, signaling the end of the first subject, and my classmates started to leave.
When they had all left, I entered and slowly approached Ma'am's table, where she was busy typing on her laptop.
I sighed before speaking.
"Ahm M-Mrs. Lhust I-I'm really so-s-sorry for being late," I stammered, apologizing to her in a soft and strained voice.
"It won't happen again, Ma'am, I promise!" I added, but she still didn't pay any attention to me. I was like air in front of her; she didn't even flinch and continued what she was doing.
Several minutes passed, and I was still standing in front of her, but she still didn't say a word. She didn't even bother to glance at me. I sighed, my shoulders slumping. It seemed like she had no intention of talking to me, so I thought I might as well leave; I was already looking like a fool in front of her. Add to that the aching of my legs from running earlier and standing outside the room. I'm also hungry, and I haven't had breakfast because of rushing earlier.
"O-okay Ma'am, I'll just leave then. Sorry for the disturbance," I said as a final remark before taking steps to leave, but before I could even take two steps, she suddenly spoke, causing me to stop.
"And where do you think you're going, Ms. Lacaforete? Acting impatient, are we?" She said angrily. Unconsciously, I bit my lip when I saw the expression on her face.
She's mad.
"It seems like you want me to add to your punishment so you'll learn," she added, raising an eyebrow.
So hot—I mean, so sassy.
"W-well, I said I'll just wait for you, Ma'am, hehe," look at this, she didn't notice me earlier, and now that I'm about to leave, that's when she speaks and acts sassy.
"Bring my things to my office," she ordered and casually stood up and walked out of the room. In the end, she left me alone, so I quickly gathered the things she left on the table and immediately followed her out.
"If I didn't have a crush on you, Ma'am, I really wouldn't put up with you," I whispered to myself.
I trailed behind her, and as we walked down the hallway, I couldn't fully understand why, out of the 7 billion people in the world, I had to fall for her.
Of all people, I had to fall for someone who's unlikely to like me back and is already taken. But you can't dictate your heart who it will beat for.
I have a lot of questions in my mind, but I can't find answers to any of them.
But I thought that maybe it's because of her exceptional beauty that I'm attracted. But it's not really that, either.
There's just something in her that I can't explain. All I know is I'm happy; she makes me happy with just her presence alone.
But it's forbidden.
It's because she's my teacher. And besides, she's married.
I fell for a married woman.
Yes, a married woman.
I was only snapped out of my internal monologue when I realized she wasn't in front of me anymore. I didn't even notice that I had been walking alone for a while. Shaking my head, I continued walking until I reached her office.
I noticed that the door was open when I turned the knob. I didn't bother knocking anymore and just went inside. I put down the things I was carrying on the table. It was my first time entering her office, so I couldn't help but look around the whole room. I've already scanned all four corners of her office, but I couldn't find her.
Just then, the door suddenly opened on the left side where I was standing. My throat suddenly went dry when she appeared before me, fresh from the shower. Earlier, she was wearing a formal outfit like she usually does, but now, oh God, she's only wearing a loose shirt. Just a shirt, as in, while combing her wet hair. I knew my whole face was already red, plus the beads of sweat forming on my forehead, even though the aircon inside was strong, I was getting hot. Who wouldn't get hard—I mean, heated up—if she was the one who greeted you?
She's so hot.
I feel hot too, as in I'm literally burning inside.
Oh, merciful heavens, thank you for the dish you have prepared for this day.
She looks so delicious, I want to devour her.
I felt like I was running out of breath as she slowly walked closer to me and whispered.
"You wanna have a taste, Ms. Lacaforte?" She asked seductively. I couldn't move.
"Too bad you're not allowed, dear, because you acted like a bad girl today," she added, making my heart beat faster while my knees weakened.
Am I hallucinating? I asked myself. This is so unreal.
I still couldn't move because of what she did, and soon I suddenly came to my senses when she distanced herself and passed me before entering the opposite door, right in front of the restroom where she had come from earlier.
I blinked and couldn't believe what she did.
She's incredibly captivating; even now, I can still feel my knees trembling.
If I hadn't been overcome by intense nervousness and restraint earlier, I might have already pounced on her. I'll just see if she can still be sassy with me.
It took about twenty minutes before she came out of the room she had entered earlier. She's back in her formal attire now.
I just followed her with my eyes as she spoke, walking towards me. Her serious and intimidating aura is back.
Maybe I was just hallucinating earlier; I must have had too much coffee.
"Let's get this straight, Ms. Lacaforte, as I'm a bit busy," she said seriously, which made me sit up straight.
"As a punishment for your tardiness earlier, I'm going to ask you a private favor, and you can't say no as an answer." This person is really decisive. As if I don't know her, aside from being strict. She acts like an alpha, too. Whatever she says goes.
Silence lingered between us for a few seconds before she spoke again.
"I want you to be my husband's personal assistant for the meantime, Ms. Lacaforte." What? It's like I didn't hear what she said. I suddenly felt deaf.
"Don't make me repeat, Ms. Lacaforte. I knew you heard it very clearly. Stop acting dumb," she said with a threat, so I looked away.
What kind of punishment is that? I'm not happy; of all the things she could have made me do, it had to be that.
"Listen, Ms. Lacaforte. That's a very simple favor, and all you have to do is to report to me his whereabouts, who he's talking to. I want to know who's that slut who ruined our marriage," she said with a hint of anger while clenching her two fists.
I was overcome with fear, and only then did all of what she said sink into my brain.
Suddenly, my eyes widened, and I stared intensely at her to confirm if everything she said was true.
She's so damn serious!
Just for being late once, that's her punishment for me?
Seriously? She's going to make me a spy?
