"Thank you!"
Leaning against a battered car, Su Che looked at the assailant trapped in the water prison before him and expressed his gratitude with utmost sincerity.
Hearing this tone, the thanks sounded genuinely heartfelt.
The assailant stared at him in disbelief.
No way, this guy must have been driven insane by my assassination attempt!
Thanking me?
"Actually, I've been a bit too full of myself lately," Su Che said, leaning against the car with his arms crossed as he observed the trapped figure. "Ever since I obtained my first ability, I thought I was already incredibly powerful."
"After all, when an ordinary person accidentally gains a superpower, it's hard to avoid feeling overly confident."
"To put it simply, it's like the mentality of a nouveau riche who suddenly comes into wealth and immediately goes on a reckless spending spree out of revenge."
"My mindset had shifted too."
As he spoke, Su Che spread his hands with a smile. "To be honest, I was just an ordinary person before. It's normal to feel this way—after all, I haven't received any professional training."
"But fortunately, your attack just now woke me up. It reminded me that I'm now in the terrifying world of Marvel."
"Even though this ability is quite strong, compared to those world-destroying beings, the current me is nothing!"
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!"
The assailant tried to say something, but his mouth was tightly sealed by the water.
Su Che sighed emotionally. "Most importantly, my inflated ego fortunately wasn't exposed and hadn't been noticed by Natasha Romanoff or Nick Fury."
"Otherwise, they might have sensed something off about what I've been fabricating."
"One of them is the Black Widow, trained rigorously in the Red Room, and the other is the so-called 'King of Agents.'"
"Any flaw in their eyes would be magnified infinitely."
"Fortunately, your attack made me realize that, before gaining absolute strength, I'm just a lucky ant."
Having reflected deeply, Su Che slowly clenched his palm.
The next moment, the spherical water prison began to twist and spread.
The assailant's skin rapidly turned dry and brown, visible to the naked eye.
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!"
Feeling the changes in his body, the assailant stared at Su Che in horror, as if asking, What are you doing to me?!
But Su Che merely placed his index finger to his lips, making a "shh" gesture.
"Water makes up about 70% of an adult's body. In other words, I can easily turn my enemies into mummified corpses."
"Of course, this is my first time manipulating this. Consider it a reward and my thanks for waking me up."
"Don't worry, there are no cameras in this parking lot. You'll become a respectable mummy."
Watching the assailant's terrified expression—trapped in a water prison yet rapidly dehydrating—Su Che leaned against the car, now riddled with holes from the water arrow attack.
"Say 'thank you.' This isn't murder."
"Another thing: I've been thinking about how to establish a presence."
"After all, although there were only three diary holders at first, that number will likely grow in the future."
"So before that, I need to make a name for myself and build my presence."
"That way, the people who come later will be fooled."
"Initially, I was always looking for an opportunity. But now, you've delivered it right to my doorstep. So naturally, I must thank you very sincerely!"
"Oh, I seem to be rambling. Well, it can't be helped. This is my first time killing someone. I need to mentally prepare myself."
Listening to Su Che's lengthy monologue, the assailant stared at him in despair as his body rapidly shriveled.
Finally, the last glimmer of life faded from his eyes.
His entire body turned into a shriveled, brown, mummified corpse, swallowed by baggy clothes.
"Whew..."
Su Che let out a long sigh.
Blinking slightly, he looked at the mummy in the water prison.
In the next second, the water prison evaporated and vanished, and the shriveled corpse fell to the ground with a thud.
"Tsk, if the pyramids had this technology thousands of years ago, mummies would be everywhere by now!"
He glanced at the corpse on the ground before turning to leave.
Well, in the future, I shouldn't talk so much when facing enemies. It doesn't match the persona I've crafted in my diary.
Of course, this was my first time actually turning someone into a mummy.
So, all that talking was really just me mentally preparing myself.
After all, turning a living person into a mummy is quite something…
Huh?
Seems like I don't feel much about it.
That's good. At least that attack just now sobered me up.
Well, I can use this as material when I go home and compile my diary later.
Make the fabricated story more realistic and safer!
So, isn't this a surprise delivered right to my doorstep, providing material for my next fabrication?
