It Appeared!
Inside S.H.I.E.L.D.!
As the fourth diary appeared, new characters emerged once again.
Nick Fury opened his private log without hesitation.
This private log recorded the characters mentioned in the first three diaries.
The log was divided into three sections:
Confirmed Characters: Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner, Clint Barton.
Two new names were added: Wanda and Pietro.
Undetermined Characters: Thor, Loki, and Ant-Man.
Villains Column: Kang the Conqueror, the Celestials, and Ultron.
Comparing it to the fourth diary, Nick Fury began adding names again.
He added Olivia Temple—Su Che's so-called "old enemy"—to the villains column.
That's right, Nick Fury had subconsciously classified Su Che as a superhero. Therefore, his old enemy naturally fell into the super-villain category.
Simultaneously, a few more names appeared in the villains column: Dormammu and Nightmare!
After recording the names of the villains threatening Earth, Nick Fury hesitated for a moment before adding the name of the Supreme Sorcerer, Ancient One, to the undetermined column.
He also appended the note "Real Dimension Asgardian" beside Ancient One's name.
Once this was done, Nick Fury began to ponder.
Who was this "Real Dimension Asgardian," the Supreme Sorcerer Ancient One?
Judging by the tone in Su Che's diary, he seemed to hold this Supreme Sorcerer in high regard.
"Asgardian" he could understand, but what did "Real Dimension" mean? Did it refer to the dimensional space where Earth existed?
Additionally, the title "Supreme Sorcerer" suggested that there were many sorcerers under her (or his) command.
As the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury knew that Earth was home not only to superhumans but also to a vast number of extraterrestrials.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s records even included legendary beings like vampires.
But now, there was another group—sorcerers.
And according to Su Che's diary, this group of sorcerers was led by the Supreme Sorcerer Ancient One, silently guarding Earth.
So, what was the difference between sorcerers and necromancers? After all, he had encountered necromancers and witches before.
The ones mentioned in Su Che's diary likely weren't like those witches.
Tsk!
It seemed that it wasn't just S.H.I.E.L.D. (Aegis) and S.W.O.R.D. (Spear) protecting Earth. Now, there was also a team of sorcerers!
Really… getting more and more interesting!
With that thought, Nick Fury scrolled through the private log to major events.
The so-called "major events" were incidents extracted and analyzed by Nick Fury from Su Che's diary.
Based on the diary entries, the beginning of this world's turmoil was Tony Stark's kidnapping.
Then came the events involving Steve Rogers and the Winter Soldier, HYDRA, Ultron, and Kang the Conqueror allying with the Celestials to destroy Earth!
After some thought, Nick Fury recorded the conflict between Su Che and Olivia Temple (the Balrog, self-proclaimed Messenger of God).
He also noted the events involving the Supreme Sorcerer Ancient One, Dormammu, and Nightmare.
Just four diaries had already revealed so many events.
Nick Fury leaned back in his chair and shook his head helplessly.
What a disaster-ridden Earth indeed!
With only four diaries, he'd already learned so much, including the destruction of Earth.
An inexplicable sense of urgency welled up inside him.
It seemed he had to accelerate the formation of the Avengers.
He wondered when Steve Rogers, the legendary hero, would be discovered.
Meanwhile, in the parking lot mentioned in Su Che's diary…
"Sir, we only found one bullet casing and a pistol at the scene. Based on the trajectory of the casing, it was likely used by the attacker."
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent investigating the scene reported to Maria Hill, who stood before a severely damaged car.
"Other than that, no traces of thermal weapons, including firearms, were found."
"Additionally, the corpse on the ground is clearly a mummy. Judging by its desiccation and dehydration, it appears quite ancient yet well-preserved—almost as if it were new!"
"However, the exact age of the mummy needs to be confirmed through further testing back at headquarters."
"As for this car…"
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent glanced at the preliminary analysis report. "Sir, the car body is riddled with holes, likely caused by bullet impacts."
"But based on the size analysis of the bullet holes, they don't match any known firearm model."
Listening to the analysis from the investigators she'd brought, Maria Hill nodded. "Is there any surveillance in the area?"
"No, sir. This parking lot has been here for over a decade. Although there are many apartments nearby, very few people use this lot, so there are no surveillance facilities in the surrounding area."
The S.H.I.E.L.D. investigator hesitated for a moment.
"Explain," Maria Hill said directly.
"Sir, based on our examination of the attacked vehicle, we found that it was penetrated. Ordinary bullets couldn't have pierced the vehicle so cleanly with every shot."
"At the same time, there are no secondary shell casings in the entire parking lot. We also used detection equipment to analyze moisture in the gaps between vehicles."
"It's as if the car was riddled with holes by extremely thin weapons made of water."
"However, this theory seems too far-fetched. Not only is it questionable whether water could cause such damage, but even if water were compressed to limit the power, it would be terrifying."
"But to achieve this effect, I'm afraid…"
Listening to the investigator's report, Maria Hill nodded. "File the report. Bring the car and the mummy back to S.H.I.E.L.D. for detailed analysis."
"Yes, sir!"
Upon receiving Maria Hill's order, the S.H.I.E.L.D. investigators immediately began their work!
