Chapter 11: Interlude II: Embraces of Second Chances

Lefav was easier, as she had some experience in seduction from her time as a mercenary, and she soon realized she preferred to enjoy nature more and practice her sniping, Bam even helping her finally have skills above that of normal High Rankers. Nothing quite matched her strong love for Bam's seafood cooking, both for herself and to feed her shinheuh as well as her children. Bam was also responsible for helping her reconnect with her Branch as they were still a bit angry at her for not being there when they needed her the most, and she was all the more grateful for it. Lefav was a bit more prone to jealousy, though, and was less tolerant towards teasing from the other women.

The difficult ones would be Laura and her girls. Laura was quite inexperienced in dating, since Traumerei only saw his "wives" as breeding partners, and this also meant that her daughters, already not interested in men from the start, didn't have any knowledge about it at first. Bam had to take the lead and help them find their tastes, and he fortunately had enough experience with direct romance by now.

Laura and her two girls all loved Bam's cooking, and Laura enjoyed helping her daughters learn how to cook with his help. Laura also taught him a few useful recipes of the food of the Lo Po Bia, which would later be a favorite for some of his other girls too. Leaving aside that, Laura also liked to sew and bonded with Bam by teaching him how to make clothes for his other women. Overall, she was quite well-rounded in everyday life, having lived in her own mansion and took care of two daughters, and her offers for help in taking care of such stuff, even helping the other girls as a "proof of trust and tolerance", warmed both Bam and the others up to her, as she was better at hanging around with them than her daughters or Lefav, really.

Lilial was a bit haughty as she always had been, but Bam didn't take too long to win her over when she surprisingly managed to prove herself a better cook than Endorsi after Bam taught her to the best of his ability. She definitely enjoyed teasing her, and Endorsi would respond by reminding Lilial who beat her in a fight, the two of them still as much of rivals as they had always been.

Still, Lilial also started to learn how to properly strategize things, having ultimately still learned the lesson Laura was trying to instill in her to be more thoughtful. She began to take things more seriously, and even asked him to help her develop her fighting skills more. Whenever she and Endorsi got to be on the same field, they always bickered, but they never tried to sabotage the other, seemingly focused on just getting stronger and reaching their peak.

Shilial, on the other hand, quickly adopted a flirtatious tone and was quite elegant and polite, quickly getting used to being allowed to date. She seemed to enjoy reading books about fairy tales, as expected for the one who was more mindful than her sister, and often debated stuff casually with him about history. She didn't neglect her training, of course, and even confessed how much she found it an "honor" to learn from him. She wore more sensual clothes when exercising and laughed when Bam courteously praised her for her style.

Elaine was surprisingly acting as some kind of a supervisor, helping her fellow Lo Po Bia get used to the kind of a man Bam was and getting along the best with them. Apparently, Elaine didn't mind that they were all from the same Family, as she wanted to show how the old ways of Traumerei were wrong and love was the key to happiness and stability.

Bam enjoyed those moments anyway. Elaine was teasing him if he would want to have sex with them as they were new, but Bam didn't really want that for now. He needed to focus on what was coming next. Besides, they hadn't gotten to know each other well enough for Bam to take the virginity of the Lo Po Bia Twins OR do the deed with Laura and Lefav. He wanted to build their relationship and start having sex only once the basis of their relationship was fueled with both trust and love. That was the key to successful romance, after all.

What are you up to, Enryu?

Just writing a book depicting the tale of my nephew's adventure into the Tower, his efforts to birth a new age for everyone, the many legendary battles with the so-called Great Warriors he has been through, the training he subjected himself to in order to win.

Huh... So you really can see fate, can see beyond the scope of normal beings? I suppose your powers are similar to that of Jahad in that regard.

If you are curious in exactly what I shall write, then don't worry. You'll find out soon enough, Gustang. The book will be published when everything is said and done. I won't tell you anything about it, until then. Now, kindly do doze off. I'm writing about the girls my nephew already has, a particular part of the book that seems to still have a room for a few more.

I never took you for being a pervert, Enryu. Are you saying you abused your powers to watch your nephew's intimacy with his girls?

Oh no. I won't cover the private details, aside from maybe making a few mentions of it. However, what I do intend to cover are the five main virtues of what must be held dear in order to climb the Tower successfully, how those girls support my nephew and represent them.

Ha ha! I do hope this chapter pleased you! Since the last arc ended on a somewhat grim note, I had to make things more light-hearted and steamy here. Anyway, there will be another chapter like this at the end of the arc, the last of the "Interlude" chapters, although you MIGHT see some sex even before it, he he.

Next chapter shall be Bam vs Khun Edahn and Yuri vs Khun Maschenny! There will be two more fights, but who they will be, I won't tell, ha ha!

And Enryu writing a book, he he. The virtues Enryu mentioned are basically this story's core. I won't expose what they are, but let's just say three of them have been alluded to. Feel free to guess what it is!

Chapter 12: Penultimate Stage: Of Blue Eyes and Spears

And so another year passed well, with Enryu being pleased that Bam had improved to where he was finally able to put up a decent fight against him, most of Bam's friends and ALL of Bam's lovers having reached Top 100-300, at minimum reaching Top 500 or so. The war with the Empire had finally started to truly be on the UFH's side: With most of the 10 Great Families turning their back on Jahad and the Workshop providing counters for the weapons created by the Core of the Tower, the UFH now dominated over the Jahad Empire.

Now, though, the Khun Family decided to finally show their hand: Aguero received a letter stating that Khun Edahn himself was holding Khun Maria, Khun Kiseia, and Khun Ran hostage, stating that unless Bam showed himself and took Yuri as well as Aguero to the Khun Family Mothership, then their heads would be delivered to the UFH. Needless to say, Aguero was infuriated over this, and Bam found out before Aguero could make any effort to hide it by being in the same room as when Aguero received the letter.

Bam didn't even hesitate to agree to support Aguero, seeing Edahn finally crossed the line by taking part of his own Family hostage. He also wanted to help Aguero finally become the Family Head of the Khun Family, knowing he would do much better than Edahn ever did. Yuri certainly was quite willing to fight too, and in fact, she stated she wanted to fight Maschenny.

Not all of the UFH's higher-ups approved, with Gustang, ever the pragmatist, asking why should they risk Bam falling into a trap just for a few "snakes", Baek Ryun exercising caution as Khun Edahn was well-known for his cunning and personality, but Yurin and Blossom gave their full approval, and so did Urek. Lobadon had agreed, but not before advising Bam to be careful and ready backup in case a surprise attack were to occur. Sophia had been a bit wary as his advisor in this regard, but she eventually agreed.

Before leaving, Bam of course shared a few talks with his best friend and two girlfriends. He first talked with Aguero about how Aguero would finally get to fulfill his dream, assuring him that they would save his Family and allow him to rebuild it entirely. Aguero confided that he had been preparing so much for this day, but now that it had finally arrived, it was a bit surreal. Bam understood and told Aguero it would be the same when the time came for him to finally fight Jahad, assuring Aguero he could do it with Bam by his side and that Bam would always be there for him as his best friend. It actually made Aguero cry a bit as he told Bam how grateful he was to have met him.

Yuri's revelation was most surprising as she revealed why she was so determined to follow Bam into the Khun Family: Apparently, Evan had been killed by some plot of Maschenny, and his head was sent to her on a letter with Maschenny sadistically taunting her, which was why she went into such a rage and would have died if Bam hadn't rescued her. She swore at that moment to get stronger and kill Maschenny, explaining why she was much more dedicated to her training than usual, wanting to get stronger and prove she was worth standing by Bam.

She also confessed that was why she lost her respect for her grandmother at first, being bitter at her for lying and also realizing how much the order Yurin helped make was nothing but a huge, big lie, as the so-called stability the Jahad Empire and 10 Great Families provided were all built on blood. Yurin only regained her trust by making it clear she truly did regret how things turned up and wanted to change things for the better and showing that her encouragement of Yuri's desire for change was nothing but genuine, and Yuri confessed, to be earnest, that she wouldn't have given that chance if Bam hadn't showed her how it was possible to give second chances.

Bam sympathized with her, but told her not to confuse vengeance for justice, explaining how he killed Rachel, but all that he felt was hollow because vengeance could never grant true satisfaction. He also made it clear that he was happy that she was willing to give her grandmother a second chance, and that made Yuri smile because apparently, to her, that was a "very Bam thing, alright".

When Yuri left his room, Bam was ready to sleep, but then he was interrupted by a knock on his door that turned out to be none other but Lady Yurin herself. Bam was a bit surprised, but welcomed her inside politely. Yurin then asked Bam if he was confident he could defeat Edahn, as Bam had never won a spar with her until he stopped training with her and focused mostly on learning from Enryu, with Enryu only consulting Yurin on certain matters regarding Bam's physical prowess for his training.

Bam assured her he was, and considering the fact he was able to hold his own against the "True" God of Spears, he had good reason to believe in that. Yurin asked if Bam wanted advice from her about Edahn's fighting prowess, but Bam refused as he wanted to test out how far he had progressed over the 5 years since he met Enryu. Bam decided to instead ask Yurin if she was fine with Edahn dead, as he knew they used to be close friends, and Yurin then bitterly commented the Edahn that was her friend was long dead, with little of the man she could see as a good friend remaining. She asked Bam to kill him, but Bam could see in her eyes there was still some sadness in her gaze.

In the end, the Great Warriors were far from what FUG thought them to be, AKA "villains who came into the Tower under the guise of wanting to build a new age while all they wanted was to conquer" and later "traitors who unjustly condemned the two righteous people among them". They used to be much better, and Bam still had to admit he was somewhat melancholic when he thought over how currently 5 of them were firmly on his side and not a single one of them seemed to care that their friends were getting slaughtered here and there. Bam didn't want to ask Yurin about it, though, as he knew this was a sensitive matter.

He just promised her he would do his best to bring Yuri back alive, but apparently, that wasn't why Yurin came here. She came asking if Bam remembered the day where Hana joined his girls. Bam was a bit perplexed as he stated he did, but then he remembered how Yurin and Blossom teased the idea of the two of them wanting him for themselves, causing him to shake his head. He thought that was just a joke, considering how they often casually made flirty and light-hearted comments, to be honest.

Imagine his shock when Yurin coyly stated she would probably go through what she said that day if he defeated Edahn and then Hon. Bam believed she was joking, but Yurin simply smirked as she kissed his cheek, stating he would see for himself soon enough. She just left afterwards, and Bam wondered if she was being sincere, or just teasing him.

3 days later, Bam, Yuri, and Aguero had all arrived on the Khun Family's Mothership, and was immediately greeted by Edahn appearing before him, sarcastically asking what took Bam so long to finally pay him a visit, stating he had been waiting for him for quite some time. Bam had not bothered to acknowledge that and simply asked Edahn what did he want and what he had to do to get him to release the hostages.

Edahn responded by summoning his "champions", Maschenny and Asensio, as they all teleported in front of the Khun Family Mothership, facing Bam and the other three. Maschenny's sadistic smirk was obviously meant to rile Yuri up, but Yuri's cold glare transmitted her fury, refusing to fall for the "bitch", as Yuri had said it, while Asensio was staring with Aguero, showing some pity in his face.

Edahn then got straight to the point as he stated that the rules were simple: He was evoking the ultimate test he could give, in which "whoever fights him and wins is given everything from the family", so Bam must simply kill him if he really wanted to save the hostages. That said, Edahn decided to give his own "champions" a good time, which was why he summoned Aguero and Yuri at all.

To put it simply, Yuri would fight Princess Maschenny, a special right Edahn gave her as a reward for her "service", which had Bam looking at the two of them with disgust at the implications of exactly what Maschenny did to get Edahn to let her have at Yuri, while Aguero would have to fight through dozens of guards until he reached Asensio guarding Aguero's siblings. If Bam's representatives won, then the execution of the hostages would be delayed, but only Bam winning over Edahn would truly save them.

Bam wanted to protest, to have Edahn agree to just let the hostages go if his friends won, but Aguero coldly declared he agreed, while vowing that Edahn would die at Bam's hands and he would become the next Khun Family Head. This made Edahn cackle out loud as he admitted Aguero "had spunk". And so Bam and the others were told to simply get on the stages that had been prepared, as the Floor Administrator of the 111th Floor appeared and warped Bam as well as Edahn to a replica of the Floor.

Maschenny and Yuri were taken to a lesser alternate dimension of their own due to their particularly immense power amongst the representatives, while Aguero and Asensio were warped into the field where they would fight to decide the lives of the loved ones of Khun Aguero, three battles that would be held as legendary in the future.

As soon as they arrived on the alternate dimension created by the Administrator, Edahn and Bam had circled around each other, Edahn asking Bam if Yurin, Urek, and Enryu had trained him hard enough to where he was sure he would win. Bam confidently stated that he would, and Edahn's time was over. Before that, though, Bam asked Edahn what the hell happened to him. He might never have been a moralistic person, but Bam knew from reading his mother's journal and the Hidden Floor that he used to be a much better man.

Edahn's response was a simple cynical "you look and sound a lot like your parents, the ones who claim to be my friends, yet abandoned me when it suited them", and Bam supposed that was the answer: Edahn would NOT yield, and would fight to the death. At that moment, Bam knew only one of them was going to get out of here alive, and Edahn was, in a way, already dead in the heart, so he would just be setting him free. Without any further ado, Bam charged at Edahn and thus the fight began.

Bam and Edahn's fighting style happened to be quite similar, as both were masters of close, middle, and long-ranged combat, each with their own advantages. It was a pretty well-matched fight, and a good challenge for Bam, who, at this point, had gotten used to effectively compensating for his weak spots using his advantages and making the best use of even skills he was a few steps below the opponent.

Having already amassed sufficiently enormous combat experience from both the war and rigorous training with exceptionally powerful figures to forcefully push Bam's skills to it's peak in an astonishingly fast rate was what allowed Bam to surpass the 10 Great Family Head in terms of pure combat even outside of raw power despite their far superior age, and over the years, it only kept improving along with Bam's affinity for all combat situations.

All that accumulated combat experience also came with strong instincts and impeccable deduction as well as strategical analysis, which proved crucial in Bam's victory when faced against Edahn's cunning.

The two of them first fought in hand-to-hand combat, which proved to be a stalemate: Edahn was the third strongest of the 10 Great Family Heads in terms of martial prowess as a whole, but Bam had been trained by the likes of Yurin, Urek, and Enryu, three of the Tower's best fighters, Enryu's skill level being about the same as that of Yurin's own, and he had came to master numerous forms of martial arts, parrying Edahn's hits with skill and landing powerful blows on his own as well as reversing and grappling with him evenly.

His physical prowess had also greatly improved, allowing him to damage Edahn and withstand his forceful hits with little need for Reinforcement. When he did use Reinforcement, it was to match the speed of Edahn's lightning, the results of Enryu's specialized agility and speed training paying off as he was able to more seamlessly focus on speed-based enhancements, allowing him to be completely matched with Edahn on that regard using Enryu's methods of shinsu reinforcement. This also allowed him to focus on both offense and defense rather than having to go on the defense against Edahn's overwhelming speed, the two of them moving so fast that even a lesser Family Head would be outmatched through pure swiftness alone.

As the fight kept going on, Edahn and Bam didn't shy away from using their shinsu, both of them holding extraordinary command over the lifeblood of this Tower, Bam being a "Black Hole" who possessed unparalleled power and manipulation with his black shinsu and Edahn being an elemental specialist who could use all the Shinsu Qualities in the Tower.

They both threw more than 3000 baangs as natural as breathing, Bam matching Edahn's superior accuracy as a Spear Bearer with his greater quantity as a Wave Controller making him more proficient in direct manipulation of the shinsu, allowing him to spawn more baangs. Edahn himself realized this soon, and didn't try to fight Bam with his shinsu directly as Bam would overwhelm Edahn's shinsu control with his own, as made evident by Bam repeatedly catching even Edahn's concentrated attacks and turning it back at him and being able to launch slightly more powerful attacks easier than Edahn could.

Bam's shinsu attacks were able to destroy Edahn's elemental qualities, initially giving him an advantage, as he created a huge Black Orb and destroyed all that Edahn could throw at him with his unique Quality, even landing a few attacks and pushing Edahn into the defensive, but it didn't las long as Edahn soon adapted and unveiled the remarkable ability to mix all elements into a single one, "Aether", apparently inspired from the external element from the Outside of the Tower.

Whatever it was, Edahn's shinsu quality was now able to properly block his own, and Edahn didn't waste any more time as he revealed "Aether" was his true power, challenging Bam to unveil his own as Edahn's body gained a shining blue rainbowish hue. Bam didn't waste any time as he quickly took Edahn up on his challenge and accessed the form he was able to tap into thanks to Enryu's training, the "Seeds of a King", the same power he shared with Jahad that would allow him to kill the King one day. His eyes shone with blue and red lights as his pupils took on a magenta color, red and blue horns covered both sides of his head.

Bam calmly took out the Bright Moon while he also manifested and shaped the energy of the Thorn into a replica of his uncle's mighty spear, the Lance of the Mystic, causing Edahn to ask if Bam really believed he could beat him with a spear just because he had been trained by Enryu. Bam simply calmly stated that he wouldn't, but he did have a sword too and the spear was meant to supplement, stating he had to pay back all that Aguero had done for him by at least doing his best to kill Edahn in a more ironic way.

With that, they both charged, his two blades being matched by Edahn's infamous Mago. As Bam quickly made clear to Edahn, he wasn't bluffing that he could push him back with those two weapons. Bam had came to realize that he was better off suited to fight with a sword due to his father being a swordsman, and over the years, he had been working on it, developing his own specialized bladework with the Arie, Ari, Ha, and Grace styles of swordsmanship. At first, he thought a needle would better compliment his dual-wielding, but Enryu quickly made him realize that it was the opposite.

As a Needle was the opposite of the Sword, Enryu suggested it would be better for Bam to use a Spear instead as that way, Bam's technique would be a seamless blend between the direct techniques of a sword and the required complexity of a spear, and Bam would also benefit from having varying techniques with a spear rather than just adapted versions of his swordsmanship into his needle. And well... With Enryu, the greatest Spear Bearer in the entire Tower, as his teacher, and Bam having grasped Spear Bearer pretty well before, it didn't take long before he quickly became a real pro at it.

Edahn's spear techniques might be intense, able to work from all angles and use every part of a spear as huge as the Mago Spear with complete mastery, switching from thrusting, spinning, stabbing, and numerous other techniques of offense and defense as natural as breathing, but Enryu was still superior to him, and Bam had fought him dozens of times already, practicing this technique of dual-wielding and going from losing pretty badly to being able to keep up with him.

Bam mainly used his spear to compliment his swordsmanship, using skillful deflects, quick jabs, and strong spins primarily while his sword did the main work, and though it was hard to predict the way with which Edahn fought using Mago, he eventually started to gain the upper hand as he analyzed Edahn's spear work and through Enryu's teachings, began to successfully exploit Edahn's weak spots, eventually decisively landing more hits on him, but Edahn managed to warp away before Bam could land any lethal hits.

The look on Edahn's face was quite maniac as he began to grin and cackle madly, praising Bam for finally giving him the fight he always wanted, putting him on the ropes and truly reminding what it felt like to be alive in a way no women or sake could ever match. With that, Edahn unveiled what Bam quickly recognized as a Carrier, revealing that his was special as he had modified it into S-Rank, the first and only Carrier to be that high-quality, and stated that this shall be the last round as Bam responded by unveiling all of his Arms Inventory, realizing he had to go all-out in the end.

It was quite the struggle, naturally, as Edahn's Carrier truly lived up to Edahn's claim of it being the strongest, and as expected for someone who was renowned as one of the greatest collector of artifacts in the entire Tower, Edahn was quite proficient in handling all kinds of artifacts. Due to his love for battle, Edahn threw all those skills at Bam without hesitation, causing it to be a truly brutal match as his collection and abilities challenged Bam's own.

Edahn expertly shifted between a sword and a hook from his Arms Inventory as his secondary weapon, proving astonishingly competent with both weapons as he challenged Bam's dual-wielding with his own, making him more efficient and allowing the fight to be almost evenly matched as Bam barely could have an edge over Edahn. He even used knives with astonishing lethality, managing to land quite a few slashes on him and even kick or punch them to hit through his defenses.

Still, Bam adapted eventually, although he had to admit Edahn's ferocity and pragmatism was truly astonishing. He realized now why Aguero called his father a fearsome man who wouldn't hesitate to throw anything that he could. To counter such an approach, Bam switched between his weapons on the fly too, slowly but surely regaining an edge as he managed to drive back Edahn using his shield, hook out Edahn's sword, and so on.

Edahn didn't hesitate to up things a few notches, though, as he quickly switched to using guns and bows of all kinds, infusing them with several elements and programming the guns to fire at him while he personally wielded the arrows to fire real spears, doing all that with such rapid intensity and complete accuracy that Bam was sure even Enryu would have trouble outfiring Edahn if Edahn was using both his normal spears and all the aspects of Spear Bearer that he could access now.

Unable to break through Edahn's tight-knitted and great offense, Bam was forced to switch into Defender in order to block all of Edahn's overwhelming shots, thankful that Enryu put him through a rather intensive amount of training in that Position to prepare if Bam ever had to fight Jahad without him, forcing him to learn numerous ways of protecting himself and no longer just specializing with shinsu defense, but also using other weapons to his advantage, using shields, lighthouses, and swords to block Edahn's flurry of onslaughts.

It took him quite a few shots, alright, and he suffered a few nasty hits all over him when he lapsed his defense to focus more on turning the tides, but Bam was eventually able to destroy those guns and bows a few at a time as he managed to aim accurately enough, thanking god that Enryu also helped him how to make seriously accurate shots as a Spear Bearer, while moving to fire lines and bolts of shinsu that managed to pierce through after spending a proper amount of time blocking Edahn's attacks.

Of course, even with the guns and bows destroyed, Edahn's Carrier was a menace of it's own. The lighthouse part was used by Edahn with enough skill that he managed to block quite a few of even Bam's special attacks with the defensive powers of a lighthouse reinforcing his defenses, teleport his spears straight at Bam for attacks Bam barely reacted to at velocities that actually came close to rivaling Tperie's, absorbing Bam's attacks and using it to power his own, amplify the force of his spears to the point where it actually pierced through Bam's defenses when he wasn't careful enough, and even managed to use Enna Core to stop and teleport attacks back at Bam with an unorthodox method.

As Bam just managed to stay ahead of Edahn, feeling himself struggling enormously but still being pleased that he was improving enough, the two of them decided to put their all in one last clash, having grown tired after 7 hours of well-matched fight. Bam thanked Enryu for putting him through a harsh training from hell, as that definitely helped him improve his stamina, and focused all of his black shinsu into both weapons as Edahn also flowed Aether into Mago and another blue spear he had.

The two of them fought with all that they had left, viciously going back-and-forth as they proved about even with their dual weapons, massive mountain-sized shinsu spears being countered by equally massive shinsu needles and swords, cataclysmic storms being thrown and erased by Bam's Black Shinsu Orb as it shone blackish light upon it, until it finally ended when Bam created a humongous wall of black rainbow by slashing with all his might using both weapons, Edahn intercepting it with his weapons creating a huge slash of lightning and ice.

With a roar and burning half of his arms, Bam managed to push the wall straight into Edahn's chest, disarming him of his weapons and finally landing the finishing blow. Edahn gave up fighting at that moment, realizing he was all but already dead. Bam landed down and told Edahn to just give up and rest in peace, wishing him to rest with his father for all eternity.

Edahn asked Bam if Bam truly believed he could do what none of those before him could, and Bam slammed his fist into his chest to prove his commitment, telling Edahn that his parents weren't perfect and he had dreams outside of them. That caused Edahn to laugh, and he even commented how for the first time in millennia he actually laughed for real. Edahn told Bam he was true of his word, and gave Bam a blue seal bearing the insignia of the Khun Family, stating it was the proof that Bam had beat him and thus earned everything he had.

Knowing that Edahn would not be buried, but not wanting to leave his corpse to be trampled upon by his Family, Bam kindly chose to burn his corpse and send the ashes to the sky, before he sat on the floor, badly injured but victorious. He had faith Yuri and Aguero would succeed.

Meanwhile, Yuri and Maschenny stood facing one another on the alternate dimension created by the Administrator. Maschenny then proceeded to describe to Yuri how Evan died, revealing she had killed him because he was seen as a traitor once the Jahad Empire found out about him helping Bam and some of his roles in hiding her more serious "crimes". She did admit Evan put up a bit of a struggle, and died believing Yuri would avenge him, asking if Yuri would be able to do that.

Yuri's response was to simply surge out her aura, a dazzling mixture of red and pink, as her eyes narrowed into slits and challenged Maschenny to a fight to the death. Maschenny cackled as she stated that was why she was here, after all, and proceeded to unveil her own aura, a maleficent blue and purple, the grounds of the alternate dimension shaking as the two High Rankers who had earned a spot at the top of their respective Families, with not even a handful surpassing them aside from their own Family Heads, glared at each other with death.

When Maschenny gloated that she had to sleep with Edahn to get him to agree to make her and Asensio his "champions", Yuri merely scowled with disgust as she stated that she always were such a bitch. Maschenny tried to provoke Yuri by asking if Bam was a good enough of a bed partner to be her match, and Yuri merely smirked as she told Maschenny she could explain Bam in so many words, but she knew someone like Maschenny would never understand, so she just wanted to get to the fighting and without any further ado, landed the first punch on the completely unexpecting Maschenny, as she told her this would be Maschenny's grave, if she was even lucky to have a body to bury afterwards.

While Maschenny initially arrogantly dismissed Yuri's words as cockiness, she quickly learned how right she was when they engaged in hand-to-hand combat, with Yuri having a visible edge over Maschenny in terms of physical prowess. Her further training at the hands of Yurin brought about a several times increase in her already formidable close-range skills, the intensive exercises her grandmother introduced her that even left a few scars on Yuri's body sharpened her body tenfold, and she also happened to have trained herself particularly to fight the Khun style of martial arts.

The result was Yuri calmly and slowly but surely overcoming Maschenny, landing hits again and again that left visible wounds on the Khun Family Princess, even making her bleed, with her strength while shrugging off and taking minimum damage from Maschenny's attacks that landed, which were decisive by quite the astonishing margin as Yuri reversed every dirty technique Maschenny threw at her with proficiency and slammed or threw her aside with ease.

Not even Maschenny's lightning speed saved her, as Yuri's senses, having been trained to be a Scout rather than just a Fisherman, was sharp enough to sense her movements and read them, allowing her to block Maschenny's attacks without using Reinforcement and even start landing hits of her own. Maschenny's lightning infused attacks didn't have much impact on her either.

After Yuri impressively tanked a direct punch to the face with only a few blood, she then focused intense amounts of shinsu into her right hand and slammed it into Maschenny's stomach, unleashing one of her stronger Piercing Techniques, Ha Yuri Style Piercing Technique - Lethal Move: Silver Dragon. The projection of a huge dragon appeared as Maschenny was thrown 3 kilometers into the air and ended up with quite the nasty injury as Yuri confidently marched forward with a cool gaze.

Maschenny had gritted her teeth before smiling, admitting Yuri won the first round, but they both knew this was far from all they could do. Yuri simply told Maschenny to bring it, and Maschenny activated her own style of the Lightning Pill, Maschenny Style Internal Shinsu Control - Ultimate Drought of Thunder, which was a truly safe and perfected version of the Lightning Pill and surrounded her in an intense surge of purple-blue shinsu. Yuri was unfazed as she simply activated her own ultimate Reinforcement, Yuri Style Transcendental Reinforcement - Silver Rose Burst, the silverish red burst of shinsu flowing sharply all over her body. Both also had their Arms Inventory open, and only had two words left to say.

NOW DIE!

Maschenny started by still trying to fight Yuri as a Fisherman, using swords, hooks, and needles. One could argue she did put up a respectable fight, but Yuri had grown much in all of her fighting skills either. Over the years, she had sought to truly master the Ha Family's "technician" skillset, dedicating herself from simply covering for all Positions through sheer ability to truly mastering them all, as deeply as she could. She even pushed herself to master Positions she wasn't all that compatible with, and while Maschenny was older than Yuri, had more experience, and did grow stronger over the war, she didn't quite as thoroughly evaluate her fighting abilities.

The result was Yuri overcoming Maschenny through expertly shifting between various weapon styles, using not only the Ha and Ari, but also what she could pick up of the Arie and other forms Bam personally thought her, as she beat her again and again, disarming Maschenny of her sword with the Black March, hooking and throwing her away with a violent pull of the Green April, and even stabbing Maschenny in the gut, the exact same spot where Evan was killed, using the Guiding Silver Shine sword she named after Evan.

Of course, just because Maschenny was beaten as a Fisherman, didn't meant she had lost the fight. She still had quite a few tricks up his sleeve as a Spear Bearer, and brandished the Yellow May and the Spear granted to her by Khun Edahn personally, the Élémentaire Bleu. Yuri, in response, dual-wielded the Needle that her great grandmother personally gave her, Furious Qilin, and the Guiding Silver Shine, starting the final round of the fight, but not before she finally mocked Maschenny lightly by asking her she enjoyed the look on her face when she was bleeding, causing Maschenny to seethe.

Now, this was where Maschenny and Yuri were almost evenly matched as both were fighting with their specialized combat styles. Their physical prowess were now even due to Maschenny's maximized Lightning Pill rivaling Yuri's own special Reinforcement, and their skills with their weapons were truly a marvellous sight to behold as both displayed outstanding form and prowess with their respective weapons, switching between various fighting styles of the spear, sword, and needle on a whim and ambidextrously moving through offense and defense with great skill.

Although Yuri still had a small upper hand in close-range, Maschenny was now able to effectively hold her ground as she landed almost as much hits as Yuri did on her. Of course, Maschenny knew she couldn't compete with Yuri that way, so she chose to focus more on long-range. While Maschenny was a superior Spear Bearer, Yuri proved to be the superior shinsu master and made use of incredible Wave Controller skills to intercept Maschenny's spears, and it effectively closed Maschenny's advantage as she overcame superior quantity with quality.

Moves were used by Yuri from the basic to the most advanced, such as casually flow-controlling and colliding them with each other, creating localized shinsu explosions with simple waves of her hand that disturbed her shinsu, even causing eruptions from the ground beneath as a surprise attack, launching a series of blades that focused on Maschenny and moved through her spears with nimble ease, and she made use her rose shinsu in forms such as storms, walls, and explosions as she skillfully neutralized Maschenny's lightning, the battlefield shining with rose, needle and thorn themes as they fought with the power to annihilate an entire Squadron of Jahad's Army along with their Squadron Commander and destroyed cities that were swiftly regenerated by the power of the Administrator.

In an even more cathartic manner, Maschenny's superior combat experience was countered by all the sharpness of mind Yuri had encountered. Having learned from dozens of experience and training and being inspired from Yurin's intelligent fighting style despite being such a rough woman, Yuri proved to be more clever now and emphasizing on the Scout's mental traits, which Yuri had eventually mastered, was able to think somewhat steps ahead of Maschenny, countering her efforts to trap her and making proper use of her skills to repel anything Maschenny threw at her, improvising maneuvers and fighting with cautious relentlessness. She also managed to sneak up on Maschenny quite a few times.

It took them 3 hours of fighting until they started to wane, deciding to settle everything on their strongest technique. Yuri activated the absolute and final evolution of her Red Velvet Sword, Yuri Style Transcendental Skill: Blades of Love - Silver Rainbow Ouroboros Sword, as she mixed her sheer strength reinforced by shinsu and all of Yuri's most delicate shinsu control to create a large sword of shinsu with the color of chiffon and rose combined, pink and red mixed, fire coursing through it's edge and earth making up it's hilt, before being compressed to fit a single fist. Maschenny had of course activated her own strongest technique to counter, Maschenny Style Transcendental Skill: Spear of Doom - Blue May Elemental Thorn Edge, where a massive spear comprised of lightning and ice emerged, with the color of blue thorns.

The two had then swung their respective strongest techniques at one another, and the result was Yuri slowly but surely overpowering Maschenny's attack, even as Maschenny revealed that the spear could launch small spears and managed to strike Yuri at the shoulder. Even when Maschenny struck Yuri at the heart using the devious aspect of her technique, Yuri still managed to successfully punch through the spear in the end, and it was at that moment that the true deadliness of Yuri's technique was unveiled.

The sword was purposefully compressed into Yuri's right fist as at that moment, all the physical strength in Yuri's body was focused solely on the technique, further amplified by the earth shinsu focused on the hand, which were made pink-concrete due to the concentration of rose shinsu, meaning the fact that Yuri used one hand while Maschenny used both hands did not matter, but more importantly, when Yuri's fist struck true, the sword not only emerged and pierced through Maschenny's heart, but also proceeded to flow in explosive fiery shinsu that caused chain explosions in the victim's body, destroying Maschenny's internal organs and dealing an unquestionably mortal blow. And so it was that Yuri Ha triumphed over Khun Maschenny Jahad, and avenged Evan Edrok's death.

As Maschenny collapsed, Yuri stood still as she raised her hand into the sky, seeing Evan smiling down on her, as she softly told him she did it. She also confessed that she really was grateful for all that he had done for her, admitting she really saw him as her best friend.

The sky rained as though rejoicing over Yuri's victory, both as a person as she proved Maschenny wrong by being stronger, smarter, and better than her and worthy of being beside Bam, and for justice as she avenged Evan and all the lives lost in Maschenny's lust for conflict.

Aguero arrived on the field where Maria was held captive along with her entire Branch, and the sight of Maria's hopeless gaze turning into surprised joy and hope warmed Aguero's heart even though it soured as Kiseia still looked upon him with anger. Still, Aguero kept a level head as he was forced to fight through 60 guards of the Khun Family. Aguero didn't flinch as he activated his Arms Inventory and proceeded to steadily overcome all the High Rankers in his path.

Aguero dual-wielded his spear and a sword Bam gave him with masterful skill as he easily parried attacks from several expert spearman and soon retaliated, killing off 5 of them within a matter of a minute while only taking a few hits. When some sneaky Scouts tried to launch surprise attacks, Aguero quite casually blocked their attacks with his bare hands while throwing his spear and sword at the incoming 2 guards before he swiftly beat them down using the expert martial arts Bam had taught his friend.

Of course, realizing Aguero wasn't going to be overwhelmed by such numbers, all the remaining guards rushed at him, but Aguero kept his gaze firm as he mixed his Lighthouse, shinsu, and close-range with masterful prowess, cutting down dozens with his sword without killing them, simply disarming them of their arms or stabbing them in a spot that was bad enough to incapacitate them but not enough to kill them, using baangs of lightning and ice to bring down several more, manifesting waves of ice to freeze several High Rankers with ease, and using the Magnus Core to unleash blasts and rings of shinsu that knocked out dozens of guards in his way.

Within 10 minutes, with just a few scratches, Aguero had succeeded in making his way towards Asensio. Asensio had admitted he was always a bit intrigued by Aguero's exploits, but then he had to break all that and became one of the Khun Family members who made it to the Top 100, just like him. He had wanted to challenge Aguero at some point, but admitted the way with which Edahn forced them to fight was not to his tastes, even apologizing for what would happen by the end of it if Aguero lost.

Aguero then asked if Asensio would accept him as Leader of the Khun Family if Aguero beat him, and that made Asensio simply curious, rather than offended, as he asked what made him think he could become the Family Leader. Aguero simply said that he was sure Bam would kill Edahn, and Asensio, impressed by Aguero's spirit, promised to follow him IF he could defeat Asensio in combat.

However, before the fight could begin, Bam had arrived and brought the insignia of the Khun Family, wrapping it on Aguero's hand, causing Asensio to sigh as he admitted there was no need for them to fight now. As promised, Aguero's Branch and Maria's were freed and allowed to live, just as Yuri arrived with Maschenny's corpse as well, cementing the complete victory of the UFH.

Aguero had quite the reunion with Maria as she admitted that she regretted all that she put him through and always wanted to side with him, but couldn't as Edahn kept her on a tight leash. On the other hand, Kiseia looked like she was still sour at Aguero, but did have a sense of honor and agreed to not fight as Aguero had just saved her life and that of the Branch. Meanwhile, Yuri hugged Bam as she started to tear up for having finally gotten to avenge Evan and proven herself strong enough to be by him, Bam comforting her by assuring she had did her best.

The next day, Aguero was officially acknowledged as the Head of the Khun Family and gave a speech about how he wanted nothing more but to make the Khun Family a better place for everyone to live. He acknowledged they all wouldn't hold him in respect immediately, but Aguero swore to earn it in time despite being a "cast-out son". He also placed much of his success on Bam, thanking him for everything he had done that lead him to this moment, swearing to serve him with his life, as Bam just smiled and proceeded to place a small blue crown on Aguero's head before they hugged in public.

It felt as though Bam finally had did something right, and he was more confident than ever in the future.

I do hope you enjoyed Bam vs Edahn and Yuri vs Maschenny! I'm sorry I couldn't show Aguero's developed combat abilities properly, but rest assured, he WILL get his chance to shine on the final battle. Poor Evan, being killed off-screen, but I had to make sure Yuri had the proper motivation to want to kill Maschenny...
