I hit the floor. Whacking my head. The officer lands right on top of me. I try to buck him off, my arms flailing. Other guards come running over and help to restrain me. There's about five of them pinning me down.
I've been on the floor for about five minutes before I'm hit with deja vu. Footsteps are echoing off of the hallway walls. Then I see Mr Tiz step into the hall. His eyes scanning the room until he see's the bundle of officers piled on top of me.
Mr Tiz scowls before he bellows 'Everyone get out, go to school'. He pulls Zara aside and asks her to wait. Everyone else gets up and walks out quietly.
Mr Tiz walks over to me and crouches down
'Will you stop resisting, I would like a chat' I nod.
He gestures with his hand and the guards get off.
'You can leave now but stay close' he whispers to one, the other officers curtly nod and then leave. When they stop talking the officer leaves too.
Mr Tiz holds his hand out to me, I grab it and he pulls me up. As soon as I'm steady on my feet I step back and take the nearest seat. My head is pounding. I definitely hit it when I was tackled.
'I'm sure I told you earlier that I didn't want to be called out for you again Hope' he says. I look up
'I'm sorry sir' I mumble softly.
'I've reviewed the CCTV footage and I see that Zara provoked you, nether the less you will be going back to secure.' My jaw drops
'But' I start to complain but he interrupts
'For two days, think yourself lucky, you will also see the nurse to get that checked out' he says pointing to my head. I reach up with my hand, bringing it back there's blood on my fingers.
Mr Tiz whips around sharply and starts shouting furiously at Zara. 'As for you young lady' you should know better than to lay a hand on another student! how dare you break the rules! apologise' Zara stays quiet staring at the floor then she abruptly bolts out of the hall doors.
Mr Tiz uses his walkie talkie then he calls over his shoulder to me 'Come along or do I need you carried again' I chuckle lightly and follow behind him. He holds the door open so I step out into the hallway.
The sight that greets me will make the next two days in secure totally worth it. Zara has been pinned to the floor by security. She's sobbing.
We walk past them and Mr Tiz takes me to the heavy doors in the school building, he uses his fob then ushers me through. Once the doors are closed he walks ahead.
When he stops he knocks on a door then opens it and steps in, I step in behind him to see a nurse. She rises from the chair. She looks flustered.
'I have a student that needs medical attention'
She walks over to me then examines my head
'Can you sit on the bed please' she asks nicely then scurries off into the back room.
A few minutes later she's back. She grabs a light from her desk then walks over to me.
'Can you follow the light with your eyes please'
She shines the light in the middle then to one side then the other, she does the same with the next eye. She then flicks the light on and off. She then covers one eye, she removes her hand a moment later then does the same thing with my other eye. I hear her hum slightly. Maybe in thought?
'I'll need a word once this is patched up' she says to Mr Tiz, he nods curtly. But stays silent.
The nurse then grabs a tray from the little side table. She picks up a little packet of what I assume is saline then pours it on some gauze. She reaches up and starts dabbing at my head. I hiss but the pain is bearable. She then dabs with dry gauze. Once she's satisfied she grabs a little silver tube, twists the end of then pinches at my head.
'fuck, that hurts' I cuss out in pain. Mr Tiz frowns at me but the nurse reassures me
'It will be done in a minute the glues got to dry, you've got id say a six inch cut'.
When the glues dried she releases my head, she clears the things she's used then she says to me
'We will be right back'.
The nurse and Mr Tiz leave. They talk quietly by the door. I can hear some words but can't make sense of what they are saying.
Once they're finished Mr Tiz opens the door
'Come' I jump down off the bed and follow behind.
He escorts me all the way to the cell I was in for the last week. I roll my eyes but step in and lay myself down. I feel a little dizzy.
'If you feel unwell at any point bang on the door, there's an officer stationed outside' he says before shutting and locking the door.
The light switches off a moment later, I roll over and close my eyes. My head is still pounding. I probably should have said something but it's too late now. My visions gone blurry. My eyes roll back.
