When I hear footsteps echoing off the walls again, I stand up as quickly as I can.
The man steps out of the shadows again, There's a security officer with him this time. When they get to the cell the man gestures to the officer with his arm.
I watch as the officer pulls a key from his bundle on his belt and places it in the lock, unlocking and opening the cell door.
'Follow me' the man says sternly. I have no choice but to follow. I walk out passing the officer, I smile politely at him then follow behind the man.
We walk to the end of the hallway then we turn right. He steps through the first door we get too. It's his office. White walls, a small window and a desk that sits splat bang in the middle.
The man walks around the mahogany desk that's bolted to the floor, While talking to me
'I'm the Headmaster, my name is Mr Tiz' he plops himself down into his chair then looks up at me.
'Take a seat Hope' he orders.
I sit myself down in the chair opposite the desk and stare at him. His face is angular, dark blue eyes, dark brown hair and he has stubble across his jaw.
Once I've sat, Mr Tiz immediately starts talking.
'I can see from your referral you have quite the history, I'm not going to list what you've previously done but from your history I can see your violence! This is unacceptable. I do not and will not tolerate this while you're here, do you understand me girl?' He looks at me pointedly, his eyes narrowed
'Yes sir' I mumble quietly which makes him nod.
'It is mandatory to attend all lessons unless given permission, we use radios so don't think for a second we're just going to believe your words, your not allowed to roam the school building freely, your required to have an officer with you during school hours, apart from during break and lunch'
'Curfew is at 4 pm, sharp!'
'After school finishes you're required to go to your dorm block. You will stand at the door until security have completed their head count. The building doors will be locked. You are free to do whatever you like, within reason, dinner is at 7pm and lights out is at 8pm' he takes a sip of water then adds 'During the summer months this is amended, due to the warmer weather'
'It's mandatory to attend check ups with your head of year, the nurse and the counsellor' he gets up and starts rummaging through his draw. I watch as he rummages then he pulls out a stack of paper and passes it to me so I reach over and grab it from him.
'It's your starter pack, ensure you read it, you'll find all the rules, apart from the top 3 I've mentioned so far you'll also need to follow the others. Your timetable and the faculties names are at the back of the pack, now come along' he says as he walks out the office so get up and I trail behind him.
I'll definitely not be reading that pack. It's got to be at least 20 pages long. BORING!
We turn back into the hallway, he swipes a fob, then he yanks the door open so we step through the heavy looking doors.
The lighting is much brighter here, I blink a few times, once my eyes are adjusted I can see lockers and classrooms. This is clearly the school building.
I can see students are in the classrooms so classes are currently going on.
We walk along the hallway in silence until a loud alarm goes off and security officers flood into the hallway. They disappear through a door at the end of the hallway.
There's loud shouting and a few bangs before two security officers appear in the hallway dragging a student screaming 'I'll fucking kill you'.
We walk past them like nothing is happening. I can't help but turn back though. The officers drag him through the heavy doors we just came through. Then they disappear from my sight.
'That is Max, he has been a regular in secure since he got here, I'd advise you to stay away from him, now, Pay attention before you fall over' Mr Tiz orders.
When we get to the end of the hallway Mr Tiz swipes his fob then pushes the doors open.
We walk out into a large open area. Theres grass and trees that line the outside, behind that is tall fencing. There's a path that runs through the grass then splits into a Y, I can see from here there's two blocks at each end of the path. I'm guessing dorms.
We walk along the path swiftly and take the right turning, we keep walking, At the end we reach the building doors.
'This is your dorm block' Mr Tiz says as he swipes his fob to unlock the doors. He pulls the door open and I step through.
He doesn't step in behind me though, he closes the door, I look up to find two security officers standing in front of me. Oh Shit!
