Chapter 5 – The Knight Princess
A month later, Rale left the castle to stretch his legs—and ended up in the middle of a battlefield.
There, shining in silver armor, was the Knight Princess of the human kingdom. Golden hair flowing, sword gleaming with divine steel, she rode forth with valor.
"So you're the Arch Demon," she declared, blade pointed at him. "Your reign of terror ends here!"
Rale sighed. "Why do you humans keep throwing yourselves at me? Do I look that scary?"
Their battle was fierce—her sword skills against his demonic magic. But in the end, he disarmed her, pressing his hand against her throat.
The princess glared at him, expecting death.
"Do it. Kill me."
But Rale only smirked, pulling his hand back.
"No thanks. Pretty girls are wasted on graves."
She froze, cheeks flushing despite herself. "You… spared me?"
He turned away, waving lazily. "Go home, princess. Train harder. Or… maybe come visit me instead."
From that day on, the Knight Princess couldn't get his smirk—or his mercy—out of her mind.
