Chapter 4 – Moonlit Confessions
Nights in the demon castle were quiet, save for the blood-red moon bathing everything in crimson light.
The priestess sat in her cell, yet the bars were unlocked. She could have fled, but she hadn't.
Rale leaned against the doorway, arms crossed.
"You're free to leave, you know."
She looked at him, eyes trembling. "If I go… will you destroy the kingdom?"
He chuckled. "No. I told you—I don't care about war. I just want to live, enjoy life, maybe… find love."

Rale stepped closer, kneeling in front of her. His crimson eyes softened.
"I worked myself to death once. No love, no warmth. This time… I want everything I was denied."
The priestess's heart pounded. She reached out without thinking, brushing her hand against his.
"If… if you are truly different… then maybe…"
Her voice faltered, but the blush on her cheeks said enough.
For the first time, the Holy Priestess—his supposed enemy—confessed with her eyes that she was falling for him.
