Chapter 4 - Another World

"Ahhh!"

Robert found himself in free-fall, his body spinning uncontrollably in a wormhole-like tunnel of colors and flashing lights. The sensation twisted his stomach as though he was being stretched and compressed at the same time.

Then—

Boom!

He crashed onto the ground, dirt and grass exploding around him as his body skidded across the earth.

"What the…" Robert groaned, clutching his head as his vision blurred into darkness for a moment. He took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. Slowly, the ringing in his ears subsided, and his sight cleared.

He found himself lying in a forest clearing, surrounded by towering trees whose canopies stretched so high they nearly blocked out the sky. Shafts of golden sunlight pierced through the leaves, illuminating patches of moss and vibrant wildflowers. The air smelled fresher than anything he had ever breathed before, rich with the scent of earth and blooming greenery.

Robert sat up, his muscular chest rising and falling as he tried to process everything. His clothes were different—no longer the branded shirt and jeans he wore on Earth. Instead, he now wore a fitted tunic of black and silver fabric that clung to his build, and sturdy leather boots that looked straight out of a medieval fantasy game.

"...This isn't Earth," Robert muttered, scanning the clearing. Birds with brightly colored feathers chirped in the branches, while in the distance, he heard the faint howl of something far less friendly.

He recalled the word of the Goddess. About how his powers correlated with intimacy, the more intense the act, the longer the duration.

That means, he is a powerless human until he gets laid.

"Anyways, I've watched anime similar to this. I think the first thing I should do is find a village," Robert muttered, pushing himself fully to his feet. He brushed off the dirt clinging to his tunic and glanced around. The forest was massive, endless trees stretching in every direction, and the uneven terrain made navigation tricky.

Still, one thing was clear—sitting around here wouldn't do him any good. He needed people, food, and information. If this really was like the fantasy worlds from anime and light novels, villages were the best starting points.

He took a deep breath, squared his shoulders, and picked a direction at random.

"North, south, east, west… screw it. I'll just go straight until I find something."

He walked towards the north, or whatever direction he was as he doesn't have a sense of direction.

And for thirty minutes straight, he didn't find any. Until—.

"Help!"

A shout, coming from a woman, sounded to his right. He flickered his gaze towards it and saw a figure stumbling out from between the trees.

It was a girl. She was wearing a white dress that was torn and bloodied. Her blonde hair, matted with dirt and streaks of crimson, framed a pale face that bore both exhaustion and determination. In one hand, she clutched a long staff, cracked at the end.

Behind her surged a horde of goblins.

Dozens of them.

Their snarls filled the air as they bounded over roots and rocks, weapons raised—clubs, daggers, crude spears. Their eyes burned with savage hunger, the kind that promised nothing but death and worse for their prey.

The girl staggered, her legs giving way for a moment before she forced herself upright again,

"Help me sir!"

"Shit…I don't even have powers, how could I help her," Robert gritted his teeth. It looked like she wouldn't be able to outrun them. Should he just run away and leave her?

No, there is a possibility that some may run towards him after they caught her.

So he ran towards her, his boots pounding against the forest floor. The girl's eyes widened in shock as Robert closed the distance with surprising speed.

Before she could react, Robert bent down and scooped her into his arms with ease.

"Wha—?!" she gasped, startled by the sudden lift.

"Hold on tight!" Robert barked.

Her body felt featherlight in his arms, far lighter than the dumbbells and plates he had crushed under his grip back on Earth.

Robert didn't waste another second. He pivoted on his heel and sprinted in the opposite direction of the goblin horde. His muscular legs propelled him forward, each stride devouring the ground beneath him. Wind whipped against his face as branches and leaves blurred by.

The girl clung to him instinctively, her fingers gripping his tunic. Her breath was ragged, and blood trickled from a shallow wound on her thigh, staining his arm as he carried her.

Behind them, the goblins shrieked in frustration, their guttural roars echoing through the forest as they gave chase. Dozens of pounding feet thumped against the earth, the horde relentless in their pursuit.

Robert's jaw tightened. "Damn it, they're fast…"

But so was he. His chest rose and fell in steady rhythm, lungs pulling in air like a finely tuned engine. Every muscle in his body screamed at him to push harder, to go faster. He leapt over roots, sidestepped jagged rocks, and kept his balance even as uneven ground threatened to trip him.

He glanced behind him and saw the goblins gaining speed. At this rate, they will catch up to them.

"Mister…" the girl whispered.

He looked at her and recalled the words of the Goddess again, the fact that he can activate powers through erotics or intimacy.

If he wanted to last a day in this world, he needed to perform it. But, unlike the Goddess who had consent, this girl wouldn't possibly oblige with it, especially in a situation like this.

Still.

"Look, I'm going to do something that will help us," Robert said.

"What?" the girl asked, her golden eyes wide and desperate.

Robert didn't answer with words. Instead, he leaned in swiftly, his lips crashing against hers.

The girl's eyes shot open in shock. For a moment, she froze—her mind struggling to process what was happening—before she snapped back, shoving against his chest with surprising strength.

"Mmmph—! Wh-what are you doing?!" she cried, her face flushing crimson as she pushed his face away. "Are you insane? We're being chased, and you— you—!"

Robert panted, his eyes glowing faintly for the first time since he arrived in this world. His body pulsed with warmth, strength trickling into his veins as if something had awakened. He smirked grimly. "Listen, I'll explain. Just now—what I did—it wasn't just to steal a kiss."

Her eyes narrowed, her voice sharp with indignation. "Then what was it for?!"

"I get my powers through intimacy," Robert said bluntly.

The girl's jaw dropped. "W-what?!"

"So let me kiss you!"

The girl's face burned red, her golden eyes wide with disbelief. "You—are you insane?! Now?! While we're being hunted?! You pervert!"

"Do you want to die here? Because I don't. Look I'll prove it to you, I just need you to kiss me."

The girl's face burned brighter, her grip on his tunic tightening as she stared at him like he'd grown horns.

"Y-you can't be serious! You think I'll just—just kiss you because you said so?!"

Robert gritted his teeth, his muscles straining as he bounded over another fallen log, the horde still snapping at their heels.

"Listen! I don't care if you think I'm crazy. I don't care if you think I'm some creep. But if you want both of us to get out of this alive, I need that kiss!"

Her lips parted to argue again, but then a goblin's spear whizzed past her head, so close it cut a strand of her golden hair. She yelped and buried her face against his chest for a moment, trembling.

The girl bit her lip, her eyes darting to the goblins shrieking behind them. They were getting closer again, their snarls deafening. She knew—if she refused, she'd be torn apart.

Her face burned, her hands trembling as she clung tighter to his tunic. "If this turns out to be some lie…"

Robert smirked grimly. "Then you can slap me later. But for now—trust me."

Before she could change her mind, Robert tilted his head down and pressed his lips against hers again. This time, she didn't shove him away. She froze, her body rigid, but didn't resist.

And instantly—

A surge of warmth exploded through Robert's body.

[Power activated! Time limit: 59 seconds]

"Only one minute?!" Robert cursed under his breath, eyes narrowing as the glowing message faded from his vision.

Still, he felt his body was getting stronger as he could no longer feel the girl weighing down on his arms. It felt to him that he was lifting paper on both arms.

He pulled his head back.

"Is that enough?" the girl asked, her cheeks in deep red.

"That's enough," Robert confirmed before setting her down.

"What are you doing?"

Robert turned around and faced the goblins. "I'm going to prove it to you."
