"You said.... WHAT???"
Fury filled the heart of Lona. No doubt, she was referring to the woman who raised him for eighteen years. His mother.
"Ohh gosh... Elizabeth what have YOU DONE!!!" Daisy screamed which sent all inanimate objects fly towards Elizabeth.
With just one snap from Elizabeth, everything dropped to the ground. "I won't have you yell at me again. Know your place Daisy."
Everything appeared blurry in front of Lona, his eyes welled in tears. His mother has just been killed and her killer is right in the same room with him. Being too weak to act he just sat and sob.
"Why.... Why ..... Why!!!! Why!!!!!! WHY!!!!!?" He screamed in frustration and rage. His shattered hand which was healing slowly began to regenerate without seconds. His eyes fixed on Elizabeth who showed no remorse.
"You WILL PAY!!" he slowly rose to his feet, he eyes pulsing in light that revealed its violet color. Strangely, black liquid slowly ran down his eyes lids
"He.. his eyes, is that Black tears" Zaria asked, they were all surprised including Elizabeth.
"He is truly one of us" Artemis murmured under her breath, her snake nodded in fear. Cards willingly came from his pockets and surrounded him, barely visible to the eyes.
"He is a clown too!!!"
Elizabeth could feel the tension, the rage from him and it paralyzed her. The rooms started getting darker, even the blazing light began to respond to the death call.
"How could he get to the point of Black tears in a short period of time?" Zinna's mind began to race.
"Hey!!" Artemis held his shoulder trying to calm him. "You have to get a hold of yourself, any more emotions and this place will be gone" hoping that her words would make an impact in his mind.
Lona gave one swift look with his eyes without turning his head, "get your hands off me!!" Just by whispering, Artemis barely heard him. She paid the price of not adhering to his command.
In an instant her hand which was on Lona suddenly burst to tiny pieces of meat, you could rarely differentiate between her black blood or raw flesh.
Word became power and It still didn't end there. The sudden blast sent her flying several meters from Lona. Delilah was speechless, not expecting what just happened to Artemis.
Even when no one dared to approach him, Delilah just casually walked to him and pulled him into her arms.
The consuming darkness around them began to increase as it turned off all the lights in the room leaving only Daisy's antenna, all their eyes and Lona's body glowing.
"It's all right Lona, I am here, your Big sister is here for you."
It took minutes before Lona stopped struggling and panting in rage. Finally all the lights in the room were restored. Then Lona passed out.
****
His eyes shot open, like he had a nightmare. Someone sat by his side, it was Daisy whose beauty knew no bounds. looking like a perfect creature with no flaws her long cute antennas complimented her sexy structure.
"You are finally awake, you passed out in Big sis arms" she referred to Delilah.
He looked confused, he was ready to ask questions but his head screamed in pain. "Don't worry, give it time. You will be fine" her smile showed how harmless she was.
"How long have I been asleep." Lona asked still holding his head, admiring the strange but beautiful structures around him. This was definitely one of the rooms in the mansion.
"Exactly three days" Daisy didn't shake. The impact of the news on Lona was different.
"What!!! How could that be"
"Relax, I even thought you would stay motionless for a week or two" Now Lona knew one thing for sure. Nothing in this house was normal. Just as his mother told him. The moment he realized what made him pass out, a heavy guilt fell on his chest.
"Don't worry much about it, I hate to tell you this but it was actually necessary" Lona gave her a serious look which almost made her retract her words.
"You have to see it that way, there was no way she could live after opening the way for you to get to us, having that knowledge means she was well informed about who we are and that is vital information for any of our enemies. They could get to her in no time and she will be forced to speak. Here-- have this... "
She pulled out a dryed pancake which looked like stone, with lots of baby black widow spiders crawling on it. The sight of it made Lona to lose all appetite of eating. " No thanks"
"Elizabeth said that she didn't even fight back or resist. She knew that it was the right thing to do. She even said that if Elizabeth hadn't come, she would have ended her life herself, to prove her loyalty to this family and to avoid all future complications."
Lona began to see words in what she was saying, remembering when his mother emphasized on always being with him and that she will never leave him. He covered his face with his hands reflecting on how weak he was and how he would have protected her if he was stronger.
"You see....." Daisy continued "... Big sis Elizabeth only brought her core but didn't bring her organs, that meant that she didn't kill her in a brutal way, instead she just got the core and probably buried her body in a good place."
Lona looked at Daisy with eyes of how could you be so sure?
Daisy just smiled, "I know Elizabeth very well, in as much as she loves fighting, she doesn't kill without reason and people who she only takes their core are better than those she mercilessly kills and takes their organs."
This only begs the question, "what do you use organs for?"
Daisy didn't know how to explain, finding the right words to use was rather useless.
"Well... We could basically.... Eat them!!!"
Traces of terror appeared on Lona's face, right now he was so irritated. "Goodness..."
Daisy began to feel embarrassed, "Shhhh!!! don't make it look that way, it's not that bad I promise." She tried to calm Lona who at the same time was trying to avoid Daisy's touch.
"You are finally" . "awake"
Zinna and Zaria walked in, their words were even interwoven. "How are you doing little Brother" Zaria asked, Lona paid no attention.
"I know you are still mad at all of us. Personally I understand" Zinna walked up to him and sat on the bed. Her pale face said nothing but concern even when it was emotionless.
No one in this house was normal, the six girls all had pale skin but it surprisingly added to their unique beauty.
"We feel your pain much more than you think, but we don't want your emotions to cloud your mind" Zaria added, Lona couldn't take it anymore.
"And what makes you think you can understand my pain huh? Have you lost your happiness in one day. Tell me Zaria" he yelled as tears filled his eyes.
"Our guardian, the people who raised us were killed right in front of us when they brought us here. Thief hearts were ripped off and eaten right before us. Those were the people we spent half of our lives with" Zinna confessed, her expression remained still.
Lona was surprised, the sight of that could send even the toughest man into loosing his sanity. "How are you both still comfortable. Why didn't you both kill them all?" He asked, his thoughts about them was nothing but how stupid they sounded.
"Do you think we chose what you see, the earlier you realize that you are Blackwood which has the strongest affinity to death and darkness and corruption, the better for you. Don't think your life could be normal. Brace it now and thank us later" she sounded so harsh, Daisy had to calm her down.
Lona looked deeper down just to discover that she was right somehow. This was his new like, the two cards said it all.
Artemis walked in, her hands were totally healed with no scratches. She looked serious but still she couldn't hide how happy she was seeing Lona.
"You are awake" Artemis hissed still couldn't help but smile which didn't last long.
"I am so sorry Artemis for what I did to your hands"Lona knew he was at fault.
"Don't worry, call me Big sis Artemis and also I want to know who taught you how to be a clown. Someone who uses Cards as a potential Weapon?"
Lona rolled his eyes at the sound of the word 'Big sis'. When could things in this house get any better?
"It was the man who raised me, he taught me all I know now about the cards. He was also a JOKER!!! Sadly he died after turning to a monster of emotions right before my eyes." Confidence raided Lona's speech, the sadness too wasn't contained.
"Did you just say that your guardian was a JOKER???"
