Anticipation still filled the air, a lot of questions began to rise. In all the minor commotion, Delilah still stood at ease.
Lona watched as the black Cat laid on the ground, he felt discouraged at once.
How will I become strong with this?
"There is no big deal here anyways, anytime the Lazy Bear is ready for a contract, it will happen immediately. If not, the boy will have to stay with the Cat."
Lona fist tightened, not because of what the Fox was saying, "could you stop calling me a boy?" Now that was his main concern and his tone said it all.
The nonchalant looking fox turned serious, locking her eyes with Lona. "And what will happen if I don't stop?" Its tone sharpen. The air itself began to intensify. It was at that moment that they noticed how cold it was.
The Fox was down for a fight, all it waited for was for Lona toake a move.
"That's the spirit Brother!!!" Elizabeth began to cheer, motivating the two angered beings.
"Stop it both of you and you Greedy Fox, watch how you speak to him now, he is one of them" words from the peacock melted Lona's heart. It sounded so melodious and confident.
The Fox rolled its eyes, "suit yourself, sister!!!" Lona was surprised. How could two different creatures be sisters? The answer was clear, they are similar irrespective of how they look like. They are sinful beasts, knowing each other for thousands of years.
"He needs to be referred to as a Boy, am I the only one seeing how weak he is on the inside? I am really sure that he couldn't open the pathway of Gluttony that's why he hasn't unlocked his special bloodline?" The Fox altered words almost sounding like it had proof.
Lona was thrown back for a moment, the eye contact he made with Delilah made her understand what he was thinking.
"Well we can't say that for sure, he has open the pathway of Gluttony and I am sure of that" Elizabeth defended him but his mind wasn't still clear. It was Delilah's turn to speak.
"Even in the Blackwood family, there is what we call special bloodline that makes us known as Blackwood. After we make contact with sinful beasts, the blood of the Blackwood will awaken in you and you will start showing signs of no longer being human. Look at us, we are all pale right?"
Lona looked around, observing his sisters one by one. "Yes I see, but I have also turned pale too. I drank blood and it tasted so lively than I imagined. I feel totally different from who I was"
"You are right Lona... But you a quite different from us and we don't know how. You see... Out of all of us, five shares on similar bloodline including me. We are Bats..." The moment Delilah muttered those words, she revealed her teeth which instantly turned into fangs though they were small. Lona was shocked he couldn't believe his eyes.
"Yes, but though we are not fully matured but this makes us do a lot of things, you remember when you saw Zaria walking on the wall, that is just a little of what we could do" Delilah hands ran through Lona's hair feeling every touch of this smooth black hair.
"We could also sleep in coffins or sleep upside down, we could do everything a bat can do and even more aside from one thing..... Flight" Artemis raised her hands like she wanted to fly but she was left in disappointment.
"If you said you all can do everything a bat could do, then you could use and hear sonic sounds right?" Lona's question only heighten Artemis Ego.
"Piece of cake, we could see waves, create one, communicate with one and fight like one."
Now Lona understood, even when they aren't matured yet, they are still considered dangerous. "And you Daisy, what are you?" He asked the quiet girl who stood beside him. She hesitated for some time before summoning courage to answer.
"I am a butterfly and yet I still derive Joy in Blood, that's surprising right?" She wasn't really happy and Lona noticed. That creature is just so beautiful to be Considered Lethal. Maybe not all Blackwood are born to fight!!
"So how do you know that I haven't unlocked mine?" He faced Delilah again
"After you opened your pathway, I personally sent you a message through sonic wave to see if you would hear it but you didn't react so you are definitely not a Bat like us, you are different and maybe special like Daisy." She pointed towards Daisy.
"Shouldn't we tell him about the colors?" Zinna asked without changing her expression.
"Now tell me Lona, what was your favorite color?"
He thought for some time, "Blue and yellow??" He wasn't too sure.
"Ok that's fine, I will be back" in a blink of an eye, Artemis was no longer in the room, like she vanished or teleported-- all thanks to her Bat speed.
Next second she was back, holding a light blue cloth in her hands, "take this!!"
She threw the clothes to Lona the moment she reached the room. To Lona's surprise, he avoided the cloth by all means. He affection towards that color died entirely.
"Goodness, what happened. Why do I detest this which I once loved?" He looked puzzled, trying to trace back every passing event.
"You are now a full Blackwood so some things will have to be caved out from you, starting with what you loved before, what you preferred also and then, your entire character, behavior and personality."
"All Blackwoods align in just a few colors, Whatever color it is, without it being Dark, like really dark, you will find yourself rejecting it."
This sounded way off his mind, Being a Blackwood isn't just by mouth or Blood but also by action and personality.
"The only one amongst us who still bonds with fair colors is Daisy which is white. She also detests other fair colors" Daisy blushed, she was always an exception.
"Wow, this is hard to take in one day" he found his hand on his chest, feeling his own heartbeat.
"Don't worry, you will be fine" Loba felt really good after those words of encouragement.
"I need to know each of my new siblings and their sin" he looked at Artemis and then to Daisy.
"You can guess mine right?" Elizabeth asked, her voice gentle and steal.
"Hell yeah, you are Elizabeth with the sin of Anger!!" Without effort Lona made the right guess making Elizabeth to let out a short laugh.
"It's the Dragon sin, Dragon sin of Anger. I am still convincing her to come greet you without fighting you" Elizabeth was referring to her Sinful Beast which still laid inside her.
"I know you won't figure out what mine is, I am Artemis, Serpent sin of Envy." She smiled just before her flying serpent appeared.
"I am Zinna, Boar sin of Gluttony while she is Zaria, Fox sin of Greed. We are also proud to say that we are the only Children who have the same mother and also the first twins for over centuries."
She was right, in as much as everyone here were siblings, only Zinna and Zaria looked alike. Everyone reacted to a particular spot.
"And indeed I am happy to have you two as my daughters" a voice tore through, so majestic and plain. With their eyes fixed on the figure now approaching.
Lona could feel it, every bit of it, the insane aura from him. Poor Lona even found it hard to breathe even when he hasn't seen him in close range, something more than fear began within him, an emotion he couldn't comprehend.
His Blood red hair and eyes gave him off, he looked so young yet matured, someone who you should mess with.
Instantly, Lona mirrored the similarity between him and the Strange but very handsome young man.
His dress said nothing but power, one that made Lona really feel like a boy. The only person who maintained her composure was Delilah, of course she was Pride herself. Who would want to outshine her?
"Handsome young face you have there" everyone knew who he was referring to. Lona just stood still, almost frozen in time. His eyes observed.
"Will your beast keep lying like a dead lump of meat?" Lona's stomach ache, somehow he feels belittled.
"And who are you?" Finally summoning courage to ask, the unknown figure made a dry laugh.
"I am the Phoenix sin of Hatred." A low whisper not coming from his mouth but from a figure behind him. It was acted harmless, like his shadow but Lona knew that it has a life of its own.
"I didn't expect you to come to see him so early, were you that desperate?" Elizabeth snouted out, a dry joke indeed.
The rest just acted calm and alarmed, they knew him better, one second peace, the other could be chaos.
"Father, You haven't said anything order than your sin. Won't tell your name?" A few nodded, Artemis was right. Smart Lona has already gotten the gist.
Wait... Did I just hear father??
His face distant in series of emotions. His eyes turned to Delilah who gave a slight nod.
He turned back to the man who started smiling, he knew that Lona was right in whatever he was thinking.
"Are you Henry Blackwood... Are you my.... father??"
