Roman was a prodigy in his younger days, he simultaneously cultivated western knight/magic system and eastern immortal system becoming untouchable among his peers but later got stuck because of problems arisen from non-matching power system thus encountered a bottleneck and since then he fell from a prodigy to a normal person later because of help his mother given him he promised her to become his butler and protect her family for life.
He was thinking all about this when a sudden jolt broke the silence in the carriage as the carriage stop's he tried to ask Roman about it but he saw Roman coming inside the carriage from front door he said, "young master there is an ambush ahead please come close to me as this must be aimed at you."
But as he was thinking this a huge impact hit the carriage and it flew in the air, already prepared Roman take him on his shoulder and get out of the carriage guards also flew from the carriage although not smooth as Roman but still they successfully get out before carriage crashed in roadside.
Touching ground he immediately alerted and saw his surrounding then he saw there are twelve people in total surrounding him but he didn't set his eyes on other eleven people but on the twelfth he is someone he is familiar with he said, "Lu Zhang why are you here? What is the meaning of this? why are you trying to ambush me?" in response to this Lu Zhang said, "my good cousin I just wanted to meet you and help you think about it rather than living as a cripple it is good to die with my hand".
Hearing all this he didn't feel too surprised as he long known that Lu Zhang bear hatred for him because of his success as family's heir but more surprising thing is the people surrounding him they are not weak people every 2 of them are in Golden core real and remaining are in late Foundation establishment but they did not belong to his family they are outsiders.
As he was thinking about this, one of the two Golden core realm man tried to close on him but Roman moved faster than him he simply moved in front of him and punched him in chest as a result he flew away towards the tree on roadside even after hitting the trees he broke them and continued to dragged only stopping after some distance.
He is clearly injured severely and this much is just from a single punch from Roman this shows how much power he holds, as they person surrounding them were contemplating how to advance further a clapping sound was heard then a thirteenth person walked into the group riding on giant wolf clapping his hand he said, "as expected of someone who was a prodigy these goons were not able to even scratch your hand, maybe this was because of having peak Golden core as well as Third circle mage realm simultaneously am I right Roman."
Hearing the sound of newcomer Roman adjusted his posture in serious one as he could feel this person is clearly stronger. Before he could act Lu Xiaoran said, "Lin Chen as expected of you, you even come to kill me who is a cripple with this much men I know you were a coward but this time you proved me wrong you are a pussy cat who could not do anything on his own."
Hearing this Lin Chen showed an annoyed expression with a hint of anger and said, "right I am a coward, a coward who crippled you in cities annual competition and make you for your life like dog. Hearing the name Xia yan, Lu Xiaoran was not surprised as she once his fiancée now sit neat to Lin Chen as his lover.
Not wanting to waste time in talk Roman moved he targeted remaining Golden core realm man as killing small obstacles before fighting Lin Chen would make this fight easy but as he advance Lin Chen came in front of him still riding the wolf dash towards him with intention to move him away from Lu Xiaoran and he succeeded in doing this as he clashed with Roman but he when saw Roman moving his eyes towards the group of goons and raising his hand he suddenly turned and shouted towards them to move away but it is too late a magic circle rose from the feet of that group and before they can move everything around them got froze in ice crystals.
Roman clearly used magic attack as a hidden move using it to in capitate most of the men power of that group but still Lu Zhang and some goons with foundation establishment realm get away in time and moved towards Lu Xiaoran but in mean time Lu family guards with them set up a formation around him to protect him.
With that Roman get assured with Lu Xiaoran's safety as the guards with them are also in Foundation establishment realm and the Golden core realm goons have been seriously injured by him, focusing on his fight with Lin Chen he get surprised because despite being so young Lin Chen is fighting him on equal grounds no one is getting advantage but he is still an old timer with many hidden moves he conjured a shadow spike in foot of Lin Chen which hit him clearly restricting his mobility but then Lin Chen blow a whistle and huge shadow crashed into him after dragged by some distance because of impact he adjusted himself and in front of him is a dragon with silver scales, wings and dark horns. After seeing this he felt surprised because dragons are mythical creatures with big arrogance they don't even like presence of human, helping them out is out of question.
Seeing his astonished expression Lin Chen said, "surprised I even tamed a baby dragon. Even dragons recognize my talent and decided to join me as I am the only one to reach top of this world, Roman a prodigy like you didn't have to guard a villain like him join me, ne on the side of right. I can even help you to solve your bottleneck you faced for many years. Even if you don't want to join me move to side let me deliver justice to Lu Xiaoran."
Hearing this everyone stopped fighting as the decision of Roman will decide final outcome of this battle Roman said, "could you really solve problem of my bottle neck."
Lin Chen said, "yes I can solve it if you join me."
Hearing this Roman move towards Lin Chen which makes him smile, Lu Xiaoran standing in the middle of guard formation felt nervous, closing on Lin Chen, Roman stands in front of him he but rather than moving his hand to shake hands he taken out a hidden dagger to attack which Lin Chen parried with taking out a sword from his waist. Confronting him Roman said, "thanks for the offer but I don't sell myself".
The dragon on side moved to support Lin Chen now Roman felt pressure confronting both of them same time.
On the Lu Xiaoran side guards were successfully repelling the goons attack but then Lu Zhang came in front of them and said start plan B, then suddenly one of the guards attacked another one with sword stabbing his back, the formation quickly fell as very guards among them start attacking each other. Then Lu Zhang moved in front of Lu Xiaoran and stabbed a sword in his shoulder.
This mayhem didn't escape Roman's sight he ran on his full speed towards Lu Xiaoran but Lin Chen and dragon both attacked him making him injured along with it his right hand got struck by flame thrown from dragon's mouth making it cripple.
But he still moved towards Lu Xiaoran and he attacked goons surrounding him, as goons clearly avoided him, he don't have time to kill them he took Lu Xiaoran's injured body in his hand and start flying along with it he invoked a wind spell to haste their escape but Lin Chen along flying on his dragons back followed them.
Soon they caught up with him the dragon spewed out a pillar of flames toward him he tried to block it but Lin Chen quickly moved in front of him he stabbed his sword in LU Xiaoran's body along with sword stabbed into his body as well facing this extremely dangerous situation Roman invoked a teleportation spell and pour his all energy in it and soon they suddenly moved away from this position as if vanishing but a attack from dragon hit him and this was an spatial attack which made their teleportation chaotic and their destination of teleportation changed they moved towards the Great fire wall boundary and crossed it falling in the great fire forest a place deemed forbidden for most of the inhabitants of this world.
