Pov: Lu Xiaoran
I am barely clinging to consciousness as my body is too injured to keep me awake but from the little bit of view I get from my half closed eye I can see that we are in some kind of forest and Roman is trying heal my injuries he is casting healing magic on my body as well feeding me healing pills from his storage bag.
The wound on my shoulder slowly shows signs of healing but the deep wound on my chest which almost impaled my chest didn't show any sign of healing in-fact it even bleed more as we try to heal it its like the sword used by Lin Chen have some effect or poison on it which stops this wound from healing.
I can feel my body slowly falling unconscious Roman is shouting to me, saying to keep my eyes open I know why he said that I know once I closed my eyes it may end of me. I don't feel any regret my life was good in fact you could say it was luxurious I was born in Lu family of Azure Mountain city which was one of the four strongest family in the city, born from the official wife of Lu family head I was appointed as legal heir of LU family not only because of my status but also the immense talent I showed in my cultivation.
After seeing my immense talent, the Xia family and my father Lu family head decided to make marriage alliance in which I will be married to Xia Yan daughter of Xia family head at the age of 18, that makes her my fiancée. He is someone with a tragic past and a cowardly nature as class representative Xia Yan helped him to adjust to school's environment.
I still don't understand how and when but they started getting closer to each other first they started to study and prepare for college entrance exam and then they even started to train together for martial art exam. Seeing all this I tried to put pressure on Lin Chen to stay away from Xia Yan but she always comes in support for him, this made things more complicated as my friends start bullying Lin Chen which she blamed on me but I never participated in bullying. But then something changed I saw her walking out of a park with Lin Chen they both are holding hands with each other this scene make me very angry, after that I relentlessly bullying and beating Lin Chen.
Then came the day of awakening our martial soul, there Xia Yan awakened a A rank phoenix soul and I awakened a S rank phantom tiger soul, but Lin Chen awakened a E rank caterpillar soul and became a laughing stock for the whole school but something changed after that day the look in his eyes was different they showed an arrogant expression which looked down on everything.

And then came the fateful day of college entrance exam, he performed excellent in every subject then came martial arts exam in which we have to hunt beast in a designated area the more beast one hunts the more points he/she will get.
He hunted more beast than whole class combined gaining the first place in exam I clearly felt something is wrong with him I raised my concern despite being second in the list I voiced my dissatisfaction that he must be cheating hearing this Lin Chen challenges me to a fight which chief examiner and representatives of different colleges accepted.
I was arrogant thinking that he must be using some artifact to cheat in exam but I was wrong he was strong very strong despite being in peak foundation establishment realm I could not even able to stop hi sone move then I realized that he is in Early golden core realm one major realm above me, knowing this I tried to summon my martial soul to overpower him as his martial soul is a caterpillar but I was wrong again his soul evolved, something that only happened in one in a million case his soul now was a wraith worm as A rank soul he easily defeated me but not satisfied with it his martial soul devoured my martial soul clearly getting stronger with it and he himself attacked my body shattering my Golden core and crippling me along with it. And the best part is that no one tried to stop him examiner tried to intervene but college representatives stopped him, clearly favoring Lin Chen over me.
That's my story, story of a boy who become a, so called villain just because he wants love of his fiancée. Now think I should have not tried that much for Xia Yan if she not liked me, I should have avoided this marriage maybe that would have a different outcome. But now thinking this will not have any result my consciousness is fading I can still hear Roman's voice telling me to stay awake. I am sorry Roman I wish I could but now I am nearing my end.
I spoke in hoarse voice, "Roman after my death go to my mother and tell her to not take revenge for me. Please go to her and stay by her side for me."

Pov: Roman
Young master Lu Xiaoran fell unconscious from the looks of it he may not wake up again I tried to find some help in this forest but I could not find any human presence even the beast could not be seen here this forest is too lonely like a forbidden area.
I don't know how we got here last thing I remembered is getting attacked by Lin Chen's dragon's spatial attack while I was conjuring my teleportation spell that spell have enough power to teleport us to next city but destination of that spell changed because of that attack and we moved towards Great fire wall boundary then I opened my eyes here, this place not looks like a Great fire forest there is no sign of fire here.
I don't have too much time to explore this place as young masters heart beat is slowing down I need to find a way to heal young master as I was thinking this and moving towards north while travelling the forest I heard a rustling sound and then I saw him a ashen white giant snake crawled down from a tree, seeing him goosebumps all over my body stand as if I was facing something greater than anything I ever encountered.
I stopped moving clearly not wanting to make that snake agitated I slowly start thinking of a way to escape from this snake but then something strange happened it spoke. It's not like I didn't know about any talking beast in fact any beast that reach a certain power level can talk, even transform into a human form.
But the word it spoke surprised me it said, "Do you need help!"
Hearing his words I feel like a devil is standing in front of me and offering me a deal to help my young master for which he will take my soul. I heard about such monsters from the ancient stories they originated from abyss and enter human world to hunt new soul what they like most is people offering their soul to them in exchange for power this kind of beings held immense power from what I heard they are classified as a S rank threat in lowest. But taking a firm resolve I decided to keep my promise and protect young master.
I fearfully said, "O great one please save this boy in exchange I can offer you my everything, my life and soul."
