Pov: Vik
I am now awake from my sleep yesterday was a hectic day first I meet two strangers who were injured and helped one of them to save his life then I gather some fruits for them to eat. After that when that boy Lu Xiaoran wakeup he said something about why a giant snake is in after life and then slept again.
I am not complaining but none of them said a proper thank to me and it really hurts that someone you saved get faint after seeing you, but I can understand any sane person will faint after seeing a giant snake standing in front of him holding different kinds of fruit.
After that me and Roman decided to sleep for the rest of night deciding to continue our talk in next morning. Now that I am awake, I saw old man Roman already standing close to Lu Xiaoran I crawled close to him and to my amusement Lu Xiaoran has woken up his is seeing Roman with a melancholy he said, "why Roman? what happen to you? why did you also died? I clearly said you to avoid any danger and go to my mom with my body."
I think he still think that he died and this is afterlife to his reply Roman said, "no young master we didn't died yet we are saved by this master Vik, by his mercy we are able to see another day. We currently in his territory. He is the one who healed your wound."
Saying this he pointed towards me, suddenly hearing so much praise for me I flinched a little but still I showed a wide smile towards them and crawled forward reaching them I said, "hi boy my name is Vik I found you both in dire state so as a good human, no as a good snake I helped you no need to thank me, but you can tell me about this world and your situation as I am new to this world and didn't leaved this place to explore outside world."
Then I asked them first about this world and its history, and we started a long session of questions and answers. From the information I gather from them I can it is new to me let say what I was thinking about this world is wrong. The history of this world is similar to earth until a thousand years ago a catastrophe struck it form the answer I get from Roman, he didn't know clearly about but thousand years ago strange portals appeared all over this world called blue star in its native language. From those portals strange monsters that were so fierce that they start killing every living creature they found.
Fortunately, this worlds technology system was as advanced as earths modern technology in fact it they very similar, I can even think that this world is just a parallel world earth. Now back to the topic this world's modern weapon at that time was enough to hold the monster siege but not for long after some time more powerful monster started appearing but this danger didn't come alone along with it came an opportunity this world's human came in contact with a strange power called spiritual energy or Qi. This was a new chapter in this worlds history as they are now able to study and harness this magical energy which has given humans many supernatural powers to fight human. The starting power system was based on awakening of chosen personnel who can harness this energy and they are further divided into F to S rank based on their power.
But everything happened till now was the only first face of the catastrophe in the second face world faced an apocalypse like situation the beast that appeared only from the strange portals starts appearing naturally in the world along with it, unknown land masses appeared in this world. This world's original area got multiplied the satellite communication humans set up got unresponsive this was a dire situation for humanity at that time almost 90% population of this world died but that was not for too long as helped appeared not as a form of another strange power but from their own kind.
The masses that appeared not only contained beast but also contained humans yes humans not from this world but another world, along with enlargement of this world it got connected to different worlds and collided with them in this process it collided with two worlds one was a cultivation oriented world with people flying on sword and trying to reach immortality, and other was a magic oriented world with wizards and knights roaming it. These both worlds got consumed by this blue star making them appear on this world as eastern and western continent.
There are also a northern and southern continent in which northern continent is occupied by original humans of this world and southern continent is mostly filled with beast ruling over it.
As I was saying humans from the both world imparted knowledge of their existing power system to humans obviously not for free as there was many fights occur between them but anyhow they mutually agreed to repel the beast from this world and made an alliance called united world alliance and after that is a very complicated history but the end of hundred year old fight humans gained control of this world again but the most horrifying thing is that this world is still growing and expert made a prediction about the third stage of that catastrophe.
Now for the current situation we are in northern continent from what Roman could tell we are near the Great fire forest forbidden land. As for why it is called a forbidden land it is because hundred years ago a great fire occurred in this forest which is home to many beast in northern continent which is inextinguishable and spread on a very fast rate no one was able to stop it seeing this anomaly the united world council decided to contain it and summon their greatest strength to build a great wall around it with spatial restriction.
Sigh! I did not know that how can a little experiment I started become such an anomaly in this world and more than that I am seems to be sleeping for a hundred years, sigh! sighing again I think that I should be held responsible for demographic of such a large forest. How could I atone for my sin. Mom dad please forgive me your son is a monster not by physical body but because of crimes he committed.
After begging for forgiveness to my dead parents, I said to Roman, "now that I know general history of this world can you tell me about your circumstances, why did you get ambushed and who are the ones trying to kill you?"
