In the shadows of tall trees a faint sound could be heard and if you listen closely you will heard squeaks of mouse focusing on the seen Vik currently staring at a mouse couple doing unspeakable things in bushes while he himself is hiding at a branch of a tree and questioning his life earlier he followed mouse to hunt it down but in the middle of it the mouse came across a female mouse and they started their breeding session without any concern about world. Now Vik seeing all this has lost his appetite moved from this place clearly not wanting to stay here anymore second.

Sigh! after sighing I again started thinking about the circumstances I am currently in after reincarnating as a snake and seeing my whole biological family getting killed by a panther that shoots lightning from its jaws I realized that I am in deep shit and for me to survive I need to implement new method, currently I succeeded in surviving a full ten days in this forest, I know this is a huge achievement for someone who just get reborn in this cruel forest many things happened in that time frame there was I time when I struggled to hunt my first prey but eventually I succeeded not because I am a got predator but because of my patience I hided myself in fallen leaves as my black color is too eye catching and waited for a small insect or any other creature that can be hunted by my small body to pass by and I succeed as a small mouse like creature pass from that exact location and I swiftly opened my mouth and bit towards its neck and I missed only bit its shoulder but as a strategist I am I quickly coiled my body around it and continued my attack and finally it collapsed as eating it I faced some problems as my human side hesitated to eat a animal raw and I am also a vegetarian in my last life but my hunger won over my hesitation and I successfully started my life as a snake.
My thing happened in this time and I also get a clear understanding of this world this world is something that you could say a fantasy world were jungle hold many mysteries and animals with elemental powers roam heck some of them are huge as a small hill in fact in one particular night dark night I see a huge shadow as big as a mountain flying down from the clouds towards distant horizon.
After seeing all this I am sure its some kind fantasy world where inhabitants can harness powers that defy ordinary laws in my old world the only question what kind of world it is? Is it some kind magic world with wizards and knights or a world with cultivation system with cultivators flying on their sword? I still need identify it and built a roadmap to get stronger as a small snake cannot even explore this forest and I need to explore this world to gain knowledge, gain enlightenment and find the truth about my life purpose that would me my first step in becoming a saint and scholar. Yes you heard it right even when I am reincarnated as a snake in this fantasy world I still harbor dream about becoming a scholar but that is for later as for now a need to gain knowledge about this place I am currently residing.

Unknown to Vik far away from world he is residing in there in the great infinite void system still accessing the error he caused by rejecting it's offer after all every host selected by higher beings to become system host are the most compatible for that purpose like for this devouring system Vik was the best choice as he should also have a talent for devouring but rejecting system's offer complicated things on a cosmic level as it never happened before and because of this system need to search for a new host someone that is selected by him not by any higher being as telling the higher being about his inability to bound the host they selected my result in his destruction, higher beings are infamous for their unpredictability and cruel nature.
Vik was right the higher beings select mortals and give powers in the form of system to gain amusement from the journey they complete in their path to gain power. They feel entertained from seeing mortals suffer, lose, win, betrayed, loved and fighting everything in world to complete their ambitions in this journey some host don't even care about their respective worlds and destroy them in this process, and other who don't have any entertainment in their journey get despaired from existence along with everything related to them sometimes entire worlds are erased by higher beings because they find them annoying.
Thinking about this system used his full power to search for new host and his hard work bore results as he soon found a soul dead recently and have great ambitions as well as talent for evolution, he didn't wasted anymore second and summon the soul and asked him to bound with it.
He said, "congratulations host you are selected by ultimate devouring system to become its host"
The person said, "yes this is finally my time to shine with this system I will become the strongest in all existence"
Hearing this even system felt bewildered but person said again, "system I know about this plot I read many novels in my lifetime and clearly know everything about this system don't waste time and bind with me let's continue our talk in our new journey together"
This time devouring system clearly got lucky by finding a smarter host then previous one he didn't said another thing and start binding,

But after the binding progressed to 90% system encountered an error which clearly made it anxious but not wanting to retreat he tried his everything to override the error.

Successfully bind with the host system initiated his reincarnation process, but even unknown to him the host he selected was already assigned to a other system by higher beings but he didn't tried to find the reason for error if he did he will surely don't this, but he clearly start overriding error and this mistake created a chain reaction where other system also lost their original host and forced to find a new host.
This error could be easily solved if those higher beings decided to intervein as they clearly know about everything every system does but they did not do this as this was something new to them a new kind of entertainment that they don't feel since their existence as very perfect systems created by them to be perfect showed error on a mass scale and in center of all this is Vik as he was the one who unknowingly started all this.
