The morning sun peeked over Demon's Fang Village as Rosie woke up with a mixture of excitement and nerves. Today was the day she would start training with Master Solaris, the Moonlit Disciple who had promised to teach her how to control her energy and bond with her wooden spoon. She stretched her arms, feeling the soft glow still coming from her spoon resting beside her bed. It wasn't much, but to Rosie, it was like holding a fragile star.
She quickly changed into her best (and only slightly less torn) clothes, tied back her messy pink hair, and stepped outside. Milo was already waiting by the village square, bouncing on his feet like a puppy.
"Ready?" he asked eagerly.
"As ready as I'll ever be!" Rosie said with a nervous grin.
Master Solaris was waiting near the old training ground—an open clearing surrounded by towering oak trees where the villagers trained their cultivation skills. He was tall and calm, wearing deep blue robes decorated with silver stars. His long silver hair shimmered as the wind blew gently.
Rosie bowed respectfully. "Master Solaris, I am ready to learn."
The master nodded kindly. "Good. The path of cultivation is not easy. It requires patience, focus, and a willing heart. Today, we begin with the basics of Qi control."
"Qi," Master Solaris explained, "is the life energy that flows inside every living being. Cultivators learn to gather it, control it, and use it to increase their power. The first step is to feel it inside your body."
He asked Rosie to sit cross-legged and close her eyes. She did so, feeling a little silly but willing to try. "Now," he said softly, "breathe deeply. Imagine the energy inside you as tiny glowing lights. Let them gather in your chest."
Rosie took slow, deep breaths. At first, all she could feel was a tickle in her nose and the mosquito bite itching on her ankle. But gradually, she imagined the tiny lights gathering, glowing warmer and brighter inside her.
"Good," Master Solaris said. "Now, try to send that energy from your chest down to your hands."
Rosie focused hard, picturing the light flowing down invisible paths inside her arms. Suddenly, she felt a faint warmth in her palms, as if something small had just awakened there. She opened her eyes, surprised.
"That's your Qi," Master Solaris smiled. "You are making progress."
After several tries, Rosie began to feel more comfortable directing the energy. Then Master Solaris held out his hand. A small orb of sparkling energy floated above his palm, shining like a tiny sun.
"Now, let's try to use that energy with your weapon," he said. "Hold your wooden spoon."
Rosie took her spoon, fingers shaking with nervous excitement. Master Solaris then instructed her to transfer her Qi into the spoon, imagining the energy flowing from her hands, into the handle, and finally to the tip.
She closed her eyes and imagined again the tiny glowing sparks, this time traveling along the spoon. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, slowly, the spoon glowed with a soft blue light.
"Excellent!" the master said. "That glow means your spoon has started to bond with your Qi. This is the first step to unlocking its power."
Rosie's face lit up. "Does that mean the spoon will get stronger too?"
"In time," Master Solaris replied. "A weapon bonded with its cultivator can amplify their abilities. Your spoon may even develop unique powers that only you can use."
Rosie immediately started imagining all kinds of funny powers for her spoon—a spoon that could stretch like a noodle, one that sang songs, or even one that cooked delicious meals mid-fight. Milo laughed at the idea.
Master Solaris then gave Rosie her first exercise: Spirit Swing. The goal was to swing her Qi-enhanced spoon to strike an invisible target with precision and control. This was tough for Rosie because she had never used a weapon before.
Her first swing was clumsy. The spoon barely moved, and she lost her balance, nearly falling over. Milo burst out laughing. "Keep your feet steady, Rosie!"
She blushed but tried again. This time, the spoon glowed stronger, and she managed to hit the old training dummy—a wooden pole covered with straw.
"Not bad," said Master Solaris. "It's normal to struggle at first. Keep practicing."
Hours passed with Rosie swinging her spoon again and again, feeling her arms grow tired but her skills slowly improving. The villagers watched from a distance, whispering with surprise about how the pink-haired girl was getting better.
By late afternoon, Rosie was exhausted but proud. She sat down on the grass, feeling the cool wind and smelling the fresh earth around her. The spoon still glowed faintly beside her.
Master Solaris sat nearby and said quietly, "Rosie, your path is just beginning. You will face difficulties and funny moments, but with determination, you can rise beyond Starry Seed."
Rosie looked up at the sky as the first stars appeared. She held her spoon close and whispered, "I'm ready for whatever comes."
That night, as she lay on her bed, Rosie thought about her new lessons. She could feel the tiny changes inside her—glowing Qi, a lighter heart, and most importantly, hope.
Tomorrow, she would train harder. She would grow stronger. And one day, she would become the Eternal Star Master she always dreamed of.
But for now, she smiled, closed her eyes, and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of glowing stars and magical spoons.
