Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Joining Kratos

Adam Thompson landed on the scorched cliffs of Greece, the sky raging with crimson lightning. Titans groaned in the distance. Lava bubbled in rivers that looked like molten spaghetti.

Ah… a perfect battlefield. Epic… dangerous… ridiculously fun.

Kratos appeared, Blades of Chaos spinning with lethal grace. "Mortal… stay back!"

Adam tilted his head. "Technically… I'm more than mortal. And chaos… optional."

Kratos frowned. "Then why are you here?"

Adam flicked his fingers. A giant boulder split into dozens of tiny flaming boulders that danced around Kratos's head like a protective—or mildly annoying—halo.

"STOP! THIS IS NO TIME FOR—" Kratos shouted.

Exactly.

Adam strolled forward. Skeleton warriors swarmed. He tapped a rock. Instantly, it sprouted legs, arms, and a tiny helmet. Rock minion… ready. The skeletons paused, staring at the dancing rock.

Kratos's eyebrow twitched. Interesting.

Adam conjured a glowing cup of coffee midair. "Here. Fuel. Battle… requires caffeine." A small phoenix perched on the rim, flapping dramatically.

Kratos sighed. "You… are absurd."

Adam smiled. Exactly.

A massive Hydra lunged from a lava river, fangs dripping with molten venom. Adam waved lazily. Its heads immediately began a coordinated tap-dance, juggling rocks and fireballs. One head pirouetted midair and landed perfectly in a bow.

Kratos blinked. "That… isn't helpful!"

Adam shrugged. "Entertainment… essential. Optional chaos… bonus."

The ground shook as a Titan approached. Adam flicked his fingers. The Titan tripped, fell, and tumbled down a hill, accidentally defeating a group of attacking harpies.

Kratos grunted. Surprisingly effective.

Adam strolled beside Kratos as the Spartan god advanced. "So… your quests… very serious. Mortals die… Titans fight… lava… dramatic. Excellent stage for performance."

Kratos grunted. "Then fight alongside me, if you dare."

Adam adjusted his coat. "With pleasure. But only if the chaos… stays fully operational."

He conjured tiny portals beneath enemies. Harpies flew out of one, skeletons bounced into another, and a group of minions started performing a synchronized march across the battlefield.

Kratos swung his Blades of Chaos with precision, decapitating a group of foes. Adam flicked a finger. Their heads performed a slow pirouette before landing neatly in a row.

Kratos paused. "…You are insane."

Adam sipped his glowing coffee midair. Exactly.

They reached a massive Titan, whose footsteps threatened to crumble the earth. Kratos roared, swinging wildly. Adam tapped a nearby boulder. It transformed into a cannon, shooting harmless but spectacular fireworks directly at the Titan's eyes. The Titan stumbled, confused… and slightly entertained.

Kratos blinked. This works.

Adam twirled his coat dramatically. "Shall we continue? Chaos… fully activated. Allies… slightly terrified. Stage… perfect."

Kratos grunted, spinning his blades. Together, they charged, Kratos in lethal precision, Adam in ridiculous, unpredictable chaos—turning the battlefield into a mix of epic combat and a bizarre circus performance.

From above, lightning struck. Adam conjured a tiny umbrella midair. "Always prepared." The lightning harmlessly bounced off, sparking a rainbow over the battlefield.

Kratos grunted. …I cannot believe this works.

Adam smiled, sipping coffee. With Kratos… chaos… amplified. And the performance… only just beginning.
