At the entrance of the "Good Fortune Comes" restaurant in Hell's Kitchen.
"It seems it's time to hire some people, otherwise, every time there's a big mission, our restaurant has to close down," Chen Ye said, looking at the "Closed" sign at the door.
"Dr. Ethan, this is the restaurant. It's where we usually eat. After you go through the main entrance on the right and take the elevator, you'll find the apartments. You can sit here for a bit, and I'll take you up to choose a room later."
"You can treat it like your own home from now on. There aren't many people in the apartments yet. After all, this is Hell's Kitchen, but I believe it will get better after some time," Chen Ye introduced to Dr. Ethan.
"We're home! Time to split the money! Now that we have money, it's time to go to the bar next door for a drink. I wonder if the bartender Miss is missing me," Deadpool cheered excitedly.
"You eat and drink my stuff every day, so it will all be deducted from your commission later. It seems your sister isn't back yet, Pietro," Chen Ye said as he pushed open the door.
"She hasn't been back for days. Hurry up and clean up. It's all dusty," Chen Ye instructed them.
"You really should hire a waiter, Chen. You're too stingy," Deadpool complained, while Deadpool and Pietro nodded in agreement.
While Chen Ye and his group were cleaning the restaurant, Tony Stark held a press conference on the other side.
Some people can never make themselves live a normal life like ordinary people.
Tony Stark was one of them. His experience in Afghanistan made him determined to close the Stark Group's weapons division.
This decision caused their company's stock to plummet, just like a certain stock in Ieyasu's homeland in his previous life.
By the restaurant bar, Chen Ye looked up at the TV, which was broadcasting Stark's press conference live.
In the news, Tony sat below the podium, but he didn't pull out a hamburger like in the movie, probably because he was full from eating on the plane.
"Everyone, please sit down and order whatever you like. Don't be so serious."
Behind him, Miss Pepper Potts stood on the outer perimeter of the reporters, a smile on her face, looking at Tony Stark seated below the podium with relief.
A man suddenly spoke to Miss Pepper Potts: "Miss Potts."
Hearing the voice, Pepper Potts turned to the speaker and replied, "That's me."
The man in front of Pepper Potts looked at her and said, "May I have a word?"
"I'm sorry, I'm not here for the press conference. If you have any questions, you can ask Tony Stark. He's sitting right there, but you'll have to wait in line," Pepper Potts refused.
At this point, the man explained to Pepper Potts, "I'm not a reporter. My name is Phil Coulson, and I'm from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division."
He handed a business card to Pepper Potts.
Pepper Potts looked down at the business card Coulson handed her and said, "Your name is really hard to remember."
"Do you have something you need? The Department of Defense and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have already contacted us about Tony's kidnapping. So, can't you share information? You have to ask one by one, wasting my time."
"Or is it that your 'Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division' is not qualified to access files?"
"We belong to another system, specifically handling matters in this area," Coulson replied.
"We're here to understand how Tony Stark escaped and to get detailed information about Chen Ye and his group who rescued him. If possible, please be sure to inform us."
Pepper Potts's face instantly turned cold after hearing this: "Your department really has a wide scope of management. We didn't see you when Tony went missing. Now that he's safe, you're asking questions. I will convey your message to Tony, and whether he wants to contact you is his business."
"Alright, then we'll await your good news. We won't disturb you for now. Thank you," Coulson replied with a smile, seemingly ignoring the slightly sarcastic remarks.
Tony Stark spoke about his experience in Afghanistan, then decided to close the weapons manufacturing division of Stark International.
When Stark announced that he would permanently close the Stark Group's weapons production division, Deadpool "whooshed" up, quickly knelt before Chen Ye, hugging Chen Ye's thigh and crying out:
"My dear Chen, my favorite Chen, I knew it. You helped us short it, didn't you! Didn't you!"
"Scram! When I told you to buy, you didn't. Now you're dreaming!" Chen Ye kicked Deadpool away in disgust.
"No, no, Chen, you're the best," Deadpool shamelessly crawled over on his knees, continuing to rub his black and red hood against Chen Ye's thigh.
"Alright, alright, scram! At most, I won't deduct your commission this time," Chen Ye ignored Deadpool's persistent pestering.
"I didn't expect him to actually close the Stark Group's weapons production division," Pietro said with a complicated expression.
"So, many things, Tony Stark might really not know. Of course, I'm not telling you to let go of your hatred, I just don't want you to be used." After all, Chen Ye was not a Holy Mother. It was impossible for him to tell someone to let go of their hatred after someone killed their adoptive parents.
He just wanted Pietro to understand the truth of the matter before making a decision.
"Hmm, for now, I won't kill him. I'll spare his life and let him atone. I'll see his future performance, and if he doesn't satisfy me, I'll decide then," Pietro said.
"Chen, so how much money did you make this time?" Pietro continued to ask curiously, and Ethan also cast a curious glance.
"Not much, this time the profit was just a small goal," Chen said calmly.
"How much!"
"Please, Chen, share some with me! I've recently fallen in love with a pink sports car," Deadpool cried out again.
"Pietro, I invested a bit for you and your sister. To save up for your betrothal gifts, so if you get married or something in the future, you can buy a small house outside or something," Chen Ye ignored the unreasonable Deadpool in front of him and said to Pietro.
"Chen, thank you," Pietro said gratefully.
"Ding,"
"Congratulations, Host! Pietro Maximoff's favorability has increased to max stars (six-star limit)!"
"Congratulations, Host! Pietro Maximoff has become your family!"
"You have acquired all of Pietro Maximoff's skills. Existing skills will automatically increase by one level."
"Subsequent skill improvements of family members will also automatically improve for the Host."
"Congratulations, Host, for reaching max stars for the first time! You have received the max-star reward title: Family Man Lv1 (Upgradeable)!"
"Family Man Lv1: When there is one family member on the field, the Host's combat power increases by 10%, and the Host's family member's combat power increases by 5%."
Chen Ye looked at the generous reward and became excited, asking the system in his mind:
"This 'Family Man' title sounds a bit bad, System, can we change it? Also, what does 'Upgradeable' mean, and how do I upgrade it?"
The system replied: "Host must strive to improve friendships. Only max stars can be called family. When the Host has a certain number of family members, more functions such as exclusive skills can be awakened. Please do not only focus on making new friends, occasionally also care about your old friends."
Chen Ye listened and began to think seriously.
"Ring, ring, ring" Chen Ye's phone rang, interrupting his thoughts.
Chen Ye picked up his phone, looked at the caller ID, and quickly answered: "Uncle Kingpin, why are you calling me?"
