ALPHA NOAH'S POV
The door creaked as Beta Elias stepped in.
He saw me standing close to Daisy. Her cheeks were red, and my hand was still holding her arm. His eyes locked between us the way I and Daisy were very close in front of each other. But he didn't say anything—just gave me a strange look before quietly walking out.
I knew what he was thinking.
Everyone thinks I've gone mad—holding on to the girl who wants nothing to do with me.
But they don't know what I know.
They don't feel what I feel.
She turned away, her voice cold. "Why don't you just let me leave? That's what everyone wants anyway."
"No," I said gently. " But That's not what I really want, just stay as long as you can."
She laughed bitterly. "Why? Because you like watching me suffer?"
I stepped closer. "Daisy, is too dangerous for you because as your powers just awakened, you don't know how to control it now so it is better you stay.
Her eyes were filled with pain. "Goddess… I can't escape you. Not out there in the pack. Not in this house. Not even in my dreams."
My heart stopped.
"Dreams?" I asked, grabbing her wrist gently. "What dreams?"
She stiffened. Tried to pull away. I saw the way her mind was racing, but she didn't want to tell me, she's keeping it to herself.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she said quietly. But whatever it is that you're thinking you better get it off your head.
But I knew.
I've seen it—every night. Her, standing under the moon. Her lips on mine. Her body beneath me. A world where there was no pain between us. Only love.
"You had the same dream," I whispered. "Didn't you?"
She shook her head quickly. "No. I-I didn't."
"You're lying."
"I'm not!"
"You felt it," I insisted. "The bond. That connection. You felt the same thing."
She yanked her hand free. Her eyes were filled with fire. "I feel nothing! Not after everything you've done. Not after what happened to my mother."
My chest tightened. That pain again. The same old wound reopening.
"You think I killed her," I said, voice low. "But I didn't."
"Don't lie to me…"
DAISY'S POV
I turned to Alpha Noah and said softly, "Can you excuse me now? I need to get ready for school."
He didn't argue this time. He Just shake his head and stared at me—one of those determined stares he always had—and stepped aside. And I pretended not to care at all.
Just imagining what he was up to, I walked past him going down the hallway toward his room—the Alpha's master bedroom—I couldn't help but slow my steps. But inside my heart I can't help it, the house is well designed and luxurious with fancy.
I looked around the hallway, and The door was wide open, Just as I stood there.
Curiosity pulled me in like a magnet.
I took a cautious step inside… then another.
Just as I got inside the excitement of the room, it was breathtaking. My heart was Full Of joy but I made sure Noah or nobody noticed it.
Looking at how beautiful, the wall was very well colourful, come to talk of the curtains flowing like silk waterfalls. A large bed stood in the center, covered in crisp white sheets and dark gray pillows. The scent of cedarwood and something else—something warm and dangerous—hung in the air.
His scent.
For some reason, it made my stomach twist.
There were pictures on the shelves. One of him as a child with a woman. His mother?
And beside it, a locked drawer with claw marks scratched deep into the wood.
I was about to look closer when suddenly…
A voice broke The silence, "Good morning, Miss Daisy."
I nearly gave out, my heart was rising so fast that I could hear the sound I turned with a gasp, heart pounding.
As I turned , I looked at a beautiful woman smiling politely. She's tall with very short dark hair tied in a neat bun, and she wore a black and white uniform with a white flat shoes. She was wearing a white clove.
With the smile playing on her lips she said, "My name is Gemma," she said, her voice soft but firm. "I've been assigned as your personal assistant starting today. Shall I run your morning bath for you?"
"Uh… no," I said quickly, trying to catch my breath. "Thanks, but I can bathe myself just fine."
She smiled, and nodded
"Sure, let me get back to work," she said. "I'll water the plants then."
Gemma smiled and turned as she left, her heels tapping softly down the hallway.
The moment she left I stood up and shorted the door behind her.
So now I have a personal assistant too? Was I a guest or a prisoner here?
Just today that I arrived here, he has already gotten an assistant for me. I wonder what his plans are all about, I don't really need to think too much right now. I grabbed a towel and entered the bathroom. The water felt good on my skin, washing away some of the confusion—but not all of it.
The moment I finished taking my bath and stepped out of the bathroom, drying my hair with a towel, I didn't notice someone was in the room.
I froze when I looked up—
And saw Alpha Noah, shirtless, pulling on a pair of dark pants.
His back was turned to me at first. But the moment he heard the door creak, he turned.
Our eyes met.
For a moment, everything stopped.
His eyes were dropped to the towel around me, then rose back to my face.
I felt like I couldn't move.
Then I snapped out of it.
"Don't you knock!?" I snapped, backing up.
His lips twitched—almost a smile. "It's my room."
"Well, I was using it!"
"You told me to excuse you, not leave my own room."
