Meanwhile, not far from the island, a large passenger ship rocked in the waves. The passengers and crew knelt, hands bound, terrified.
On the main deck, a large woman stood proudly. Her hair was messy, her face heavily powdered but unable to hide the blemishes, and her hands gripped a large iron club.
She was Alvida, "the most beautiful female pirate on the seas"—at least according to her own claim.
In the cabin, Alvida's crew lay on the floor as if recently defeated.
Seeing her crew defeated, Alvida looked around and glared at one of her pirates.
"Who dares cause trouble on my ship?!" Alvida shouted.
The pirate still conscious pointed toward Luffy, the young straw-hat boy standing calmly.
"That's him, Captain! The boy who can stretch his body!"
Alvida looked Luffy up and down, then laughed mockingly.
"Hmph! Skinny body, stupid face… who's the most beautiful woman on the seas, Coby?"
Coby, a short pink-haired boy, trembled at the question. Before he could answer, Luffy spoke:
"Coby… who's this ugly lady?"
Suddenly, silence fell. Alvida's crew stared at Luffy in shock, jaws nearly hitting the floor.
Alvida herself flushed red, neck veins straining. She swung her iron club at Luffy in rage.
"You IMPUDENT boy! I'll crush your bones!!!"
The deck floor shattered under the club's impact, but Luffy dodged nimbly. He even smiled foolishly while facing a massive weapon.
As Alvida prepared to strike again, Luffy had already pulled his elastic arm back dozens of meters and launched:
"Gomu Gomu no… PISTOL!!!"
His rubber fist shot forward, hitting Alvida's cheek, who couldn't evade in time.
BAAAAM!
The massive Alvida flew far before crashing into the sea.
Her crew panicked. Some jumped overboard to escape, while others remained unconscious in the cabin.
Luffy landed calmly, grinning. "Yosh… I win."
He gave a thumbs-up to Coby, staring at the still-bound passengers. "I'll leave them to you, Coby."
Still stunned, Coby nodded and began untying the passengers.
Alvida, drifting in the sea, was ignored.

Back on the island, Peter, finished with his meal, squinted under a shady tree, pondering his next move.
The gentle sea breeze made his eyes heavy, but he had no intention of napping yet.
He walked toward the beach to study his teleportation ability further.
There, his eyes caught something lying on the shore, slightly distant from him.
Curious, he walked closer and saw clearly—it was a large figure.
Peter's eyes widened. He recognized the figure at a glance—it was Alvida, the first enemy Luffy fought in the anime.
Peter looked at Alvida's unconscious body, his eyes shining. "Hehehe, this should have been Luffy's fight. So right now, it's still early after Luffy set sail. And I should be near Goa Kingdom."
"Luckily I'm not in the Grand Line, let alone the New World. Otherwise, it would be dangerous even with teleportation."
Knowing his location and the current time, Peter felt much more relaxed. From the start, he planned to join the Straw Hat Pirates. He preferred joining a group adventure over going solo.
With a calmer heart, Peter focused on Alvida's unconscious form, considering what to do.
There were two options: kill her or leave her be.
After only two seconds of thought, Peter chose the first. No sympathy for pirates—and he had selfish reasons too.
He knew that in the future, he would face battles and killings. Better to prepare his mindset for killing enemies from the start.
Now, Alvida lay before him, helpless. Peter slightly bowed his head, voice calm yet firm:
"Sorry… even if we never fought, as a cruel pirate, you should have been ready to die from the start."
Peter took the short sword at Alvida's waist and swung it slightly.
With one swift motion, he raised his sword and stabbed with full force.
The sword pierced Alvida's neck, making her body jerk reflexively, before falling lifeless.
Her body lay limp in the sand. Peter sank to the ground, pale, hands trembling violently.
At first, he thought he could stay calm, but reality proved otherwise.
The chill of death coursed through his chest, and his heartbeat thumped loudly in his ears. He stared at the body he had just ended, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop.
Peter drew a deep breath, trying to calm himself, but his mind was filled with an odd guilt—not from sympathy for Alvida, but from realizing how easily life and death could be determined in this world.
He understood that each step forward would become heavier, each battle more decisive, and every enemy could test his moral limits.
"Consider this my contribution to cleaning up the ocean's trash," he muttered.
He looted Alvida's body, taking the valuable accessories she wore.
Using his teleportation ability, he carried her body into the sea and sank it.
Returning to the beach, Peter shifted focus to something far more important.
"If I remember correctly… Alvida obtained a Devil Fruit after being defeated by Luffy. So it's likely here on this island."
He searched every corner of the island.
As the day progressed, he finally found a strange fruit hidden among others on a tree.
"No wonder Devil Fruits are rare. If Alvida hadn't drifted here, I would have missed this one."
Even standing next to it, one might overlook it. Peter now understood how difficult it was to find a Devil Fruit.
Carefully, he picked the fruit and looked at the floating blue panel.
"All right… time to exchange this fruit for points," he muttered.
He raised the fruit to the panel. Instantly, it vanished, and the points on the panel slowly increased.
Points: 1
Peter smiled, satisfied. "Not bad… now I have a chance for the next Gacha."
He pressed the Gacha button again.
