Nami's eyes narrowed, a spark of idea flashing within them. "You said you can teleport both of us into the storeroom?" she asked, making sure.
Peter nodded. "Yes, I can teleport anywhere as long as it's not too far away." Peter added in his heart that he could also make himself invisible. Of course, he would use this ability to peek at Nami, so he would never tell anyone, at least until he was caught.
"Perfect," whispered Nami, a sly smile appearing on her lips. "According to my observation, Buggy's crew is busy preparing a big party to celebrate their latest plunder. They'll be drunk and careless. That's the perfect time for us to break in."
Peter understood. "So we wait until the party reaches its peak, then I teleport us straight into the storeroom?"
"Exactly. We take all the gold and the Grand Line map, then leave quietly before they realize," added Nami. "No fuss, no fighting."
They hid in a loft in the distance overlooking the field where the pirates had gathered.
As Nami predicted, by noon, the party began.
Bonfires were lit even though it was still bright, barrels of sake were opened, and the pirates sang sea shanties in off-key voices. Buggy the Clown sat on his throne, laughing uproariously while enjoying the offerings from his crew.
The afternoon passed, and Peter and Nami waited patiently, observing the pirates one by one beginning to collapse from drunkenness.
"Now," Nami finally whispered when the commotion began to subside and many were already fast asleep.
Peter nodded. He took the opportunity and hugged Nami's waist, and they disappeared.
*Whoosh!*
The two of them appeared inside Buggy's dark storeroom, illuminated only by slivers of light seeping through the gaps in the wooden planks. The storeroom was filled with piles of gold, jewels, and jewelry scattered across the floor without any containers.
"Let go!" Nami hissed irritably, pushing Peter's arm away from her waist.
"Who are you?"
Suddenly, a voice startled them. A drunken storeroom guard stood not far away, staring at them in confusion with a bottle of sake still clutched in his hand.
Quickly, Peter disappeared and reappeared behind the pirate, chopping the back of his neck with full force. The guard crumpled to the floor, unconscious.
"Okay, let's continue," Peter whispered to Nami, who looked impressed.
Ecstatic, Nami immediately began filling her pockets with gold and jewels. "Look at all this treasure! We're going to be rich!"
They had already gathered most of the treasure into a large sack that Nami had obtained from somewhere.
Suddenly, a loud commotion erupted from outside. "HEY! THAT'S BUGGY-SAMA'S MEAT!" someone shouted.
"I'M STARVING!" a young voice boomed.
*CRASH!*
The storeroom wall suddenly collapsed, shattered by the body of a pirate who had been thrown into it. Through the gaping hole, they saw a straw-hatted young man fighting while devouring a large piece of meat.
"INTRUDERS!" shouted Buggy, his face red with anger. His eyes then shifted to the open storeroom. "How dare you steal Buggy-sama's treasure!!"
"Bara Bara Hou!!"
Buggy's eyes widened, and he immediately attacked. Both of his hands, holding knives, suddenly detached and flew rapidly toward Peter and Nami, as if aiming to stab the two thieves to death.
Seeing Buggy's detached hands flying toward them with knives, Nami was terrified.
"Teleport, NOW!" Nami screamed.
Peter, already on alert, immediately hugged Nami and disappeared from the storeroom.
*WHOOSH*
They vanished just before the knives could hit them, leaving all the treasure behind in the storeroom.
They reappeared on the roof of a building across the street.
"Phew, that was close...wait...." Nami sighed in relief, patting her chest which was still heaving. However, she suddenly stopped, and her head mechanically turned to look at Peter's empty hands.
"...NO! MY GOLD!" Nami cried in despair, realizing the treasure was gone.
Down below, Luffy stopped chewing, his eyes sparkling. "Wow! He can disappear! So cool!"
At that moment, Zoro arrived with his three swords. "Luffy! You started without me?"
"Hahahaha, Zoro. Are you here to eat meat too?"
Luffy continued laughing carefreely, as if unaware that the fight had already begun.
Then, Buggy reappeared and began fighting Luffy.
The chaos in Orange Town intensified.
Luffy, with his cheerful laughter, faced Buggy as if it were a game.
Every time Buggy threw parts of his body with "Bara Bara Hou", Luffy easily dodged or even deflected them with his flexible rubber arms.
"Gomu Gomu no... PISTOL!" Luffy shouted, his arm shooting forward like a bullet and hitting Buggy's separated body parts.
"Fool! Physical attacks don't work on me!" Buggy shouted arrogantly, while reassembling his body. But Luffy only laughed harder, feeling challenged.
Meanwhile, Zoro faced Cabaji, Buggy's right-hand man, who was armed with a sword.
An intense battle ensued between the two swordsmen. Zoro, with his three swords, moved nimbly, while Cabaji fought from his unicycle.
"This is my chance to show off in front of Captain Buggy," whispered Mohji, the animal tamer, from behind the rubble.
He saw Zoro busy with Cabaji and began sneaking up with his lion, Richie, to attack from behind.
However, before he could give an order, Peter appeared behind him like a shadow.
*Whoosh!*
With a quick and silent movement, Peter kicked Mohji's head hard with his foot.
Mohji was thrown and fell to the ground, unconscious and unsure if he was alive or dead. Richie, the lion, let out a weak roar and ran away in fear upon seeing his master defeated.
Zoro, who noticed this, glanced at Peter in surprise and gave a brief nod of thanks before refocusing on Cabaji.
"Tch. That idiot finally found someone useful," Zoro grumbled, assuming Peter was a friend Luffy had found.
Buggy grew angrier as he saw his crew members falling one by one. "You scoundrels! How dare you ruin Buggy-sama's party!"
"Bara Bara Festival!"
His body split into dozens of pieces and flew toward Luffy from all directions.
But Luffy was undaunted. "Gomu Gomu no... BAZOOKA!" His two stretched arms shot forward and smashed Buggy's body parts, scattering them everywhere.
"Impossible! My body!" Buggy panicked, trying to reassemble his remaining parts.
This was Luffy's chance. With quick steps, he ran toward Buggy.
"Now I've got you!" Luffy exclaimed, and with "Gomu Gomu no Rocket", he launched himself and landed a powerful punch right on Buggy's face.
"AAAAARGH!" Buggy screamed, thrown far into the air.
"Straw-hat brat, I'll come back for you later.!!" he yelled as his body flew farther away.
With their leader defeated, the remaining conscious members of Buggy's crew immediately surrendered and fled in fear.
Peace finally returned to Orange Town. Luffy and Zoro stood among the rubble, with Luffy still holding the remains of the meat he had been chewing.
"That's Luffy for you, always causing chaos," Zoro muttered as he sheathed his swords.
