The next morning, the sun crept upward, slowly dispelling the lingering chill. Peter was already awake, treading the path of the small village. The residents seemed busy with their routines—some heading to the fields, others pushing boats out to sea.
After speaking with the village chief, he bought a small boat and the necessary supplies. Now, at the quiet dock, Peter sat in his new boat, gazing at the sea stretching out before him.
"Let's go.."
In an instant, the boat vanished and reappeared far out at sea.
...
Throughout the journey, Peter rowed the boat with oars or teleported.
Finally, on the following afternoon, he arrived at Orange Town.
"Ahhh, I'm finally here. If only I were as strong as those monsters, I could have arrived in just a few seconds," he complained as he landed on the island.
He looked around; the houses were neatly lined up, unlike the dilapidated ones on the previous island. The roads were still made of dirt, but they were clean and well-maintained.
"This is indeed a town, it looks much more prosperous. However, it seems the townspeople have already hidden in the forest because of Buggy's presence," Peter thought, trying to recall the anime he had once watched.
Because there were pirates on this island, Peter couldn't be careless. He immediately used the Ring of Invisibility, and his body became transparent.
After that, Peter scouted around the town and found the location of Buggy's crew. However, he didn't disturb them for now.
Instead, Peter went to one of the houses located far from where Buggy and his crew were stationed.
"I should wait for them here. Nami will probably arrive tomorrow, so for now, I'll hide here," Peter muttered to himself as he rested in an empty house belonging to a villager.
He didn't want to fight Buggy's crew at this moment. Although he was fairly confident in his teleportation and invisibility abilities, his combat skills were lacking. Not to mention, his stamina was low, and Buggy was immune to sharp weapons.
So, wait for Luffy and Zoro to arrive, then leave it to them.
"I wonder if Buggy has a Devil Fruit in his storeroom," Peter thought before falling into an exhausted sleep.
...
The next day, as Peter had hoped, he encountered Nami sneaking around like a thief.
It was almost noon, and Peter was eating on the second floor of a building. Coincidentally, he spotted Nami, who had just arrived on the island and was still searching for Buggy's hideout.
A mischievous smile appeared on Peter's lips, and his body vanished instantly.
While invisible, he teleported behind Nami and observed her up close.
Her body was slender and tall, with a clear hourglass figure. Her waist was small, contrasting with her softly curved hips and prominent, full chest.
Peter swallowed hard. Even though Nami now was far less developed compared to two years later, she was already enticing.
Without a second thought, Peter embraced her from behind, his hands grasping her full peaks and squeezing them.
Feeling the soft, supple sensation in his hand, Peter's blood boiled. He wanted to do it longer, but his common sense told him to stop.
And just as a startled Nami reacted, he teleported back to the nearby two-story rooftop.
Peter watched as Nami pulled out a staff from seemingly nowhere and struck backward.
"Ohhh, dammit. Nami is really ruthless. Good thing I left immediately, otherwise....hisss," he thought, inhaling sharply.
The direction of Nami's attack was precisely toward the groin area, but there was no sign of hitting anything.
Nami turned around, then scanned her surroundings warily.
"Who's there?..."
No one responded.
Peter was still contemplating whether to reveal himself now and get to know Nami or to appear later.
However, he was too impatient to chat with one of his favorite characters, so he chose the former.
Thus, Peter deactivated his invisibility.
"Hey, beautiful down there. What are you doing in this town?"
Nami looked up and stared in his direction, examining Peter carefully.
"Was it you who just hugged me?" she asked suspiciously, though she seemed fairly certain.
"What do you mean? I've been here all along and haven't seen anyone else but you."
Of course, Peter wouldn't admit that he had gotten too excited and done it.
Nami was slightly confused because she had been sure it wasn't a hallucination. But before she could investigate further, Peter interrupted.
"I asked you, miss, what are you doing in this town? Don't you know this town has been taken over by pirates? It's dangerous for a beautiful woman like you to be wandering around here."
Nami's brow furrowed. Her thief's instinct screamed that the man on the rooftop was lying, but her logic was baffled—how could someone hug her and then suddenly be on a roof so far away in an instant?
She hid her staff behind her back, putting on the sweet and innocent smile she usually used to deceive people.
"I'm just lost, sir," she said, playing the role of a frightened, weak woman. "I'm looking for a way out of this town. Can you help me?"
Peter smiled inwardly. He knew exactly how cunning Nami was, but that was what made her intriguing.
"Of course," he replied, then teleported right in front of Nami, startling her into taking a step back. "But I doubt you're just lost. You're looking for something, aren't you?"
Nami's eyes widened. His movement was too fast. Unnatural.
"You... who are you, really?" she asked, her sweet tone gone, replaced by wariness.
"Peter. A traveler who happens to be here," he said casually. "And I suppose we share the same goal—eyeing the treasure of Buggy the Clown."
At the mention of Buggy's name, Nami's eyes sparkled, but she quickly hid it.
"Buggy? That pirate? Don't be ridiculous, I just want to leave."
"Alright," Peter shrugged, pretending to be clueless. "In that case, I'll go to his storeroom alone. I heard he has a very valuable map and a mountain of gold."
He intentionally mentioned the two things Nami desired most, then pretended to turn and leave.
"Wait!"
Nami grabbed Peter's arm. She couldn't let this opportunity slip away.
"A map? Really? And... gold?" Her eyes glittered like diamonds.
"Ah, interested now?" Peter grinned. "How about we work together?"
Nami was still cautious, eyeing Peter from head to toe. His teleportation was mysterious... and very useful for breaking into a treasure vault.
"Work together? What's in it for me?"
"You're right," Peter said casually, as if he had just realized it. "But I've heard rumors about a skilled thief in this area. They call you 'Cat Burglar,' don't they? Your reputation has reached my ears."
He gave a slight, dramatic bow. "It's better to work with the best than to try alone and fail, right? Besides, I don't know the exact location of the treasure."
Nami still looked wary but seemed slightly more relaxed. His explanation made sense—her reputation was starting to spread, even if not widely.
"Fine," she finally sighed, though her eyes still watched Peter's every move. "But remember, one suspicious move and I'll leave you alone to deal with Buggy."
"Wouldn't dream of it," Peter said with an innocent smile. "Now, what's the plan, Miss...?"
"Nami," she replied curtly. "Just call me Nami. Now, listen carefully..."
