A wave of inexplicable pity suddenly washed over Naruto. In the original Naruto... there was no Uchiha girl named "Tsuki."
The answer was obvious.
In about three years, after Naruto entered the Ninja Academy, a tragedy that would shake the entire ninja world would occur: the Uchiha Clan Massacre.

Danzo Shimura, Itachi Uchiha, and Obito Uchiha.

Obito Uchiha attacked Konoha and released the Nine-Tails, leading to the sacrifice of Naruto's mother, Kushina Uzumaki. His father, Minato Namikaze, to prevent Konoha's "nuclear weapon" from being leaked, fulfilled his duty as Hokage and sealed half of the Nine-Tails into his newborn son... but that wasn't the key to the Uchiha massacre.
What truly pushed the Uchiha clan to the brink of destruction was the giant Sharingan seen in the Nine-Tails' eyes.
Every Konoha ninja who fought that night saw it clearly. The higher-ups' suspicion that the Uchiha had planned the attack was not entirely without reason.
And yet... they weren't wrong to suspect the Uchiha.
No one just expected that the Uchiha controlling the Nine-Tails would be Obito, who had been "dead" for years.
To guard against the Uchiha clan, the Konoha leadership relocated them to the edge of the village and placed them under strict surveillance. The proud Uchiha people could not tolerate such humiliating treatment.
Driven by a thirst for power, the Uchiha clan gradually fractured internally. At clan meetings, the voices of the hawks grew louder, advocating for a military coup to seize political power in Konoha and change their clan's circumstances.
At this point, a traitor emerged.
Itachi Uchiha, the eldest son of the clan head Fugaku, was also a spy for Konoha planted within the Uchiha. He revealed all information about the clan's planned coup to the Konoha leadership.
Upon learning this, the Third Hokage and Danzo disagreed. The Third advocated for peace talks, hoping to resolve the conflict through communication, while Danzo insisted on eradicating the threat completely by eliminating the Uchiha.
Then, Danzo made his move.
He coveted Shisui Uchiha's Mangekyo Sharingan and its ability to rewrite a person's will, the "Kotoamatsukami." In a covert attack, Danzo stole one of Shisui's eyes.
Having lost one of his Mangekyo, Shisui knew he could no longer use Kotoamatsukami to stop the coup. In despair, he entrusted his remaining eye to Itachi and then chose to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, solely to weaken the Uchiha's power.
After losing his dear friend Shisui, Itachi Uchiha—a man constantly caught between the village and his clan—actually accepted Danzo's proposal.
The man who had indirectly caused Shisui's death was now his collaborator.
The massacre began.
Men, women, the elderly, and even infants in their cradles were not spared. Blood stained the Uchiha compound, and the only one left alive was a young Sasuke.
Why... did Itachi completely ignore the Third Hokage's proposal for peace talks?
The logic of the whole event couldn't be scrutinized too closely. Itachi claimed to be "protecting Konoha" while personally slaughtering his entire clan. He claimed to "deeply love his little brother" while subjecting Sasuke to endless torture with Tsukuyomi.
This twisted behavior was likely why Itachi's reputation had seen such a reversal online.
Kishimoto tried to portray Itachi as a "guardian who bears the darkness," using "necessary evil" to glorify the massacre. But Naruto only felt a chill down his spine.
As long as the goal is noble, do the means not matter at all?
Taking a step back, even if the Uchiha had launched the coup, could their fate have been any worse? The entire clan wiped out? Not even sparing the babies?
Naruto shook his head, unwilling to dwell on it further. He couldn't understand Itachi's mindset, couldn't understand the so-called "Hokage mindset." Right now, he had no dream of becoming Hokage.
Naruto looked at the black-haired little girl before him. This child... will she also die on that night?
The thought that Tsuki might be slaughtered for some so-called "greater good" made Naruto's stomach churn.
No... I have to do something.
