Tok... Knock... knock
"Excuse me sir, today you have a lunch schedule with the CEO of liver." Angel stood in front of Leo's desk, with some files in his hand that he wanted to hand over.
Leo, who was sitting in his big chair, didn't immediately turn to face Angel. He was still busy thinking about his mother's condition. "What time is it?" he asked briefly.
"It's about 11:50 o'clock," he replied quietly.
Silence for a moment, then Leo turned his chair to face Angel who he could see.
"Have you checked my schedule this week?" He asked back.
"Already, sir, what do I need to read?" politely and a slightly bowed head.
"No need, you'll be at today's meeting. Did Ahmad give me any news about the assignment I was given?" Leo said after thinking for a while.
"Yes, sir, he said that the number is stable there and he will enter tomorrow."
"Good." While standing up, he fixed his suit. He started walking with Angel behind him.
When they reached the downstairs all the employees could see Leo and Angel walking out together. They thought the two of them were going to lunch.
A shiny black car slid out sliding down the basement. Angel sat next to Leo, at first, he wanted to sit in the front but Leo asked him to sit in the back with him.
Silence. Only the sound of machines and streets dominates. Leo is busy checking some files on the tablet. Every now and then Angel glanced to the side bored, he wanted to open a conversation but his fear was greater.
Leo is aware of that. "Why?" He asked who remained focused and did not turn around.
Angel reflexively turned his head in surprise. "T-no, sir."
Leo turned his head to look at you, "But your expression seems to want to say something, I know by the look in your eyes." The fisherman is Leo.
Angel thought, but he remained silent without responding to his superior's words.
Not getting any answer Leo closed his tablet and put it in front. "Don't be too nervous for a while, stay focused and don't respond too much when you talk to me."
The angel who heard that nodded obediently, He did plan like that. "Okay, sir."
The Eden restaurant is primal without elegance with a glass interior and some of the luxury items they display. Leo and Angel stepped in together. The waiters welcomed them warmly and showed them the room that had been booked.
They went in and sat on the chairs and the circular table, there were five chairs. Angel wants to pull a chair for Leo, because it's part of his job.
Leo sat in the chair and was followed by an angel who sat next to him. They ordered some food quite a lot as well with the desserts.
Not long after they ordered the CEO of liver had arrived, a middle-aged man with a slightly distended belly, his face was friendly not too old behind him followed by a woman who turned out to be the CEO's daughter named Clara.
The two stood to welcome warmly, they shook hands in turn. "It's been a long time since I've seen Leo." With his friendly smile.
Leo just nodded briefly and returned his handshake. "Nice to meet you." Then he introduced Angel. "This ismy secretary, Angel."
Angel smiled kindly and greeted them one by one. Clara stared at him for a moment, then immediately distracted by Leo.
"Please sit down."
Not long after, some of the food was served at the round table along with the drinks. Their began to eat the dish. Angel only eats a little because he can't eat a lot of food from the past, and neither can Leo.
After they ate, Leo and Pak Haris chatted about the basins they were going to build with Angel recording every conversation carefully. But several times his focus was shifted to Clara, he realized that the way the Woman looked at Leo was very different there was Light in both of his eyeballs.
Not only is he aware but Leo is too, but he doesn't care about it as long as it doesn't bother him, he will still act normally.
Over time, the conversation that should be about business has now shifted to things that are not important.
"Oh yes, Leo, my daughter Clara is one of your fans. He really likes your business prowess." Haris said still with a happy face. "I brought him here because I thought you guys might be a good fit."
Clara, who heard this, lowered her head in embarrassment, then said in a soft voice, "I often hear how you manage your business, Mr. Leo. I'm very happy to meet my idols."
Angel tried to restrain herself from keeping her expression neutral. He was busy pretending to write at the table, even though his ears were clearly catching all the conversation.
Leo gulped down his wine slowly, then said in a familiar tone, "Idol? That's too big a word in my opinion."
Haris nodded. "Don't look down on Leo. You're young, successful, and everyone in the race wants to work with you. You must need a companion?"
Leo nodded he knew where this conversation was going, but he enjoyed the conversation he wanted to know how far they would continue to force him. Many of his colleagues already want to marry their children off him.
Meanwhile, Angel still listens to him and doesn't want to be in campier about it. But for some reason there was a feeling of tightness in his chest, he didn't know why it was like that. He tried to focus on his task, but his eyes occasionally caught Clara who kept smiling sweetly at Leo.
Leo glanced at Angel who made him hurry and bow his head.
Their chats still lasted for more than an hour. Occasionally Angel intervenes to help, such as when Clara is too attached to Leo.
"Angel, can you please record the meeting schedule for this business development. Maybe next month." Leo said suddenly, as if he wanted to divert the situation.
Angel nodded and replied, "Of course, sir. On Monday at ten o'clock in the morning, is it appropriate for Mr. Haris?"
Haris nodded in satisfaction. "Very good, thank you miss Angel. You are a secretary who can be relied upon."
Angel smiled politely in response.
Leo does not like the situation like that, he does not like to be regulated and a matchmaker because the one who lives his life is that no one has the right to rule him.
In the car, their trip back to the office feels different. The city walked with this tipped lunch time had ended from half an hour ago everyone was back to work.
Angel sat next to Leo, still with the tablet on his lap.
"Thank you." Leo's voice broke the silence between the two of them.
Angel turned his head. "For what, sir?"
"For those of you who understand the situation." Leo stared straight ahead. "If it wasn't for you, maybe today would be exhausting for me."
Angel smiled small. "I'm just doing my job."
"But you did it well, I don't like anyone interfering in my life."
Angel was silent. His cheeks were a little hot, for some reason. He just glanced at it, then Back lowered his head.
They arrived at the office and returned to work in their respective rooms. The two of them didn't know that gossip was spreading on all floors. From the gossip circulating, the two are rumored to be in a relationship just because they went out for lunch.
No one knows that they go to see the Company's business partners, because usually if there is cooperation, it will definitely be met directly in the office and rarely their boss does it outside the office.
