"Kokushibo, Upper Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki. The Demon of the Blade—strongest under Kibutsuji Muzan.
When he was human, his name was Tsugikuni Michikatsu, the eldest son of the samurai family Tsugikuni during the Sengoku era, and the older brother of Tsugikuni Yoriichi.
He aspired to reach the pinnacle of swordsmanship and surpass his younger brother Yoriichi.
His Blood Demon Art transforms his own ** into blades, and these blades can freely unleash crescent slashes and blade winds.
His Breathing Style is Moon Breathing, directly derived from the original Sun Breathing.
You and your brother, Tsugikuni Yoriichi…
That's all I have to say. Do you have anything you'd like to add?"
Muyang recited Kokushibo's basic profile and added some details about him and Yoriichi, waiting expectantly for Kokushibo's reaction.
"Who are you? How do you know these things?!"
Hearing his secrets spoken one after another by the person in front of him, Kokushibo's pupils trembled. His six inhuman eyes locked onto Muyang, sharp like blades. If Black Zetsu hadn't seized control of his body, his reaction would've been even greater.
After all, among those secrets, some were trivial—but others were extremely specific, such as events from the Sengoku era.
That was more than four hundred years ago. From Kokushibo's understanding, humans cannot live that long, and the person before him was clearly not a demon.
Following the shock came calmness. Regaining composure, Kokushibo began to deduce the reason.
The man before him might know these things because someone in the family once kept a diary that recorded them. Or perhaps when Yoriichi was still alive, he told someone stories that later circulated.
"You ask how I know? Well, that's because…"
Muyang patted the air to his right. A figure slowly appeared—a white-haired old man with long hair, wearing hanafuda earrings and a deep red flame-like mark on his left brow.
He wore a yellow kimono with black hakama, draped in a red cloak, with a sword at his waist.
"…because he told me!"
Muyang placed his hand on the old man's left arm and smiled.
Seeing that face etched deep in his memory, Kokushibo actually broke free of Black Zetsu's control for an instant. Like a startled kitten, he jumped back a short distance, staring at the old man in utter shock.
"Yo… Yoriichi!!!"
"It has been a long time, elder brother."
Yoriichi's soul greeted him. Even though he had been abruptly pulled from Hell into the living world, his expression remained calm, his tone gentle and unshaken.
"I remember… you already…"
Scenes from four hundred years ago flashed across Kokushibo's mind, and his shock gradually faded.
Yes… Yoriichi died. He couldn't possibly still be alive. I saw it with my own eyes…
Everything before me is an illusion!
Convinced he had grasped the truth, Kokushibo once again regained his composure. He looked at Muyang and declared firmly:
"You are not human. You are a demon—one who uses illusions as a Blood Demon Art to deceive others. Everything I see now is an illusion, and everything I heard earlier was auditory hallucination, not real!"
If Black Zetsu wasn't controlling his face, Kokushibo would absolutely be wearing the self-assured expression of someone who believes he has seen through the trick.
"Pfft~" Yakumo Yukari covered her mouth and laughed.
Otsutsuki Kaguya held a bucket of popcorn while tilting her head, staring at Kokushibo with her Byakugan. Coupled with the situation and her posture, her gaze seemed to convey some unspoken meaning.
But no matter what that meaning was, to anyone else it looked exactly like she was rolling her eyes at him.
"You're the one who's not human." Muyang deadpanned.
Suddenly insulted, Muyang wanted to slap Kokushibo to death on the spot. But after a moment's thought—killing him with a single slap felt far too lenient.
I'll deal with you tomorrow.
With that thought, Muyang turned and walked to the sofa in the corner of the room, sat down, and began organizing basic information on the various worlds he visited today.
Maybe more people will want to migrate to other worlds in the future. It's best to prepare the relevant information ahead of time. When someone comes, I can let them read the housing info first to filter out what they don't want, then only take them to the ones they're interested in. No need to run around one by one like today.
Yakumo Yukari floated over and sat beside the sofa, letting her consciousness enter the marketplace, browsing item after item.
Evening to midnight was her active period—she had no trace of sleepiness.
Otsutsuki Kaguya walked toward the bedroom carrying her popcorn bucket. Seeing this, Black Zetsu detached from Kokushibo's body, turning into a black cat and chasing after his mother.
With Black Zetsu gone, Kokushibo's body instantly felt lighter, and control returned to him.
His eyes swept over the three people in the living room. Without overthinking the reason behind his regained control, he decided that since he couldn't locate the illusion-casting demon, staying here was pointless. He might as well leave for now.
This humiliation… will be repaid sooner or later!
With that thought, Kokushibo was just about to stand up when a deep voice sounded in his ear:
"Freeze."
His body lost control again. Kokushibo couldn't move a muscle—not even his eyeballs.
"Don't even think about leaving. You're going to pay for what you said."
That familiar voice entered his ears once more, and anger surged in Kokushibo's heart.I, Upper Rank One, being toyed with by some insignificant demon?!
Illusion demon—I will kill you!
"Elder brother…"
Yoriichi's soul walked to Kokushibo, meeting his gaze as he began recounting various trivial memories.
Having reunited with his brother for the first time in over four hundred years, Yoriichi naturally wished to reminisce.
Kokushibo's expression was stiff—there was clearly something he wanted to say, but his body refused to obey.
As Yoriichi continued sharing stories, long-forgotten memories resurfaced in Kokushibo's mind, and his fury gradually faded under the weight of the past.
Once again, Kokushibo regained a cold calmness and began observing his surroundings, searching for the illusion demon.
The people in the living room were all busy with their own things.
In the bedroom, Otsutsuki Kaguya looked at the LCD TV on the wall. She picked up the remote and turned it on, wanting to watch something.
But this was another world—the television had no signal.
"Black Zetsu."
Sitting at the edge of the bed, she softly called her younger son.
Black Zetsu instantly understood. He trotted under the TV to the DVD player.
Below the DVD player was the TV cabinet. Cat-form Black Zetsu used his tail to open a drawer, rummaged around, pulled out a disc—Taxi—and placed it inside the DVD player.
Then he trotted back to Kaguya, lightly leapt onto her joined legs, and lay there like a cat.
Kaguya gently stroked him with her right hand while feeding popcorn into her mouth with her left, nibbling delicately, her gaze never leaving the screen.
A moment later, the movie began to play.
