Chapter 10 - Chapter-10 : Supercharged Electrons

Then he went on to the third power, Atma Shakti. "Atma Shakti," he said, "is perhaps the most…basic of your skills. It's less about dealing with other people and more about… your own personal strength. It's about concentrating your will, your determination.

It's less reliant on another's will strength, as with Vaani Siddhi.".

It's about tapping the power inside you, the strength, the sheer energy of your spirit. It's your inner strength, Dhruv. It's your Atma Shakti."

Lastly, he spoke about the most complicated and volatile of Dhruv's abilities: time manipulation. "And then there's the…time manipulation," he said, his tone tinged with a touch of wonder and apprehension. "This… this is the most taxing of your powers, Dhruv. It takes an enormous amount of energy. Consider it like this: you're not really halting time. That's a misapprehension.

What you're doing is…you're briefly interrupting the flow of energy that controls all the things around you.

Every electron in the universe, they're all moving, vibrating at certain frequencies.". And you…you're somehow employing your own supercharged electrons to…to temporarily freeze those vibrations. Your supercharged electrons produce frequencies opposite to every other frequency of this universe and somehow it stops them from rotation and that's how..it works. It's like…you're producing a ripple in the fabric of reality itself. That's why it exhausts you so utterly.

You're employing your whole body's energy [*The supercharged electrons are full of tremendous energy which he employs*] to…to restrain the universe, even if for a few seconds.

And that's why you can only manage it for short periods – ten, fifteen seconds at most. It's a stupendous accomplishment, Dhruv, but a very perilous one. You're toying with forces beyond our complete comprehension.

You're not halting time, Dhruv. You are experiencing the time that you've halted for everyone else."

[*Narrator : Just in case people wonder how he gets his energy back after time is stopped, it's just the Law of Conservation of energy, his supercharged electrons re-absorbed the energy of the universe.*]

Dhruv and Anika shared a glance, the technical explanations at last making sense. The techno-talk, now once bamboozling, did a weird sort of sense. They knew, at least on a fundamental level, the amazing forces in action within Dhruv, the might he possessed, and the natural risks that came with it.

Dhruv gazed at Dr. Rudra, a sense of gratitude in his heart. "Thank you, Dr. Rudra," he replied, his voice genuine.

"You're welcome," Dr. Rudra replied, a look of fatigue in his eyes. "But this is only the start.

Knowledge is the initial step. Now the tough part follows: training, practice, perfection.

You possess a mighty power, Dhruv. A power that can alter the world. But it is a double-edged sword. It can also destroy you if you are not cautious. Never forget that. Always remember the burden of such a gift."

He stood there, then a look of comprehension creased his face. He chuckled quietly, shaking his head in amazement.

"You know," he said, a wry smile spreading across his face, "your manipulation of time… it's quite special. It's not you who freezes time.

It's us who stop working! You're living on, reliving those 'frozen' moments, while the rest of us are…stopped. It's just time skip for all but you.".

It's rather. impressive, actually." He released a hearty laugh," hahahaha" the stress of the last few days momentarily lifting.

Dhruv and Anika gazed at one another, then at Dr. Rudra, and a tide of mutual hilarity swept over them. The ridiculousness of it all, the utter impossibility of what Dhruv was attempting, hit them suddenly. They laughed along with Dr. Rudra, the laughter ringing out from within the large training chamber, a fleeting relief from the despair that had beset their lives.

The laughter died away, leaving an introspective quiet in its absence. Dhruv, his forehead creased, stared at Dr. Rudra. "Dr. Rudra," he asked, "if I can control time… why must I halt the entire universe? Why cannot I halt time in…for instance, Rajasthan? Or even India alone?"

Dr. Rudra nodded, expecting the question. "That's a very good question, Dhruv," he said. "It's a question of scale and scope.

You can manipulate time in a very localized pocket around yourself. A small bubble, say ten or fifteen meters in diameter. That's something you can control. It won't create any large ripples in the… temporal fabric.".

But never apply this power to one person, it will be highly dangerous because you don't apply it accurately. You will apply the energy of your entire body to halt that person and what if he is unable to hold that much energy and dies or turns into a statue for entire life. So use caution."

He stopped speaking, his face becoming serious.

"But if you were to attempt to freeze time over an entire area, such as the whole state of Rajasthan, or even a nation like India… the ramifications would be disastrous. Consider this, Dhruv. You're not just freezing individuals.

You're freezing everything – the air, the water, the earth itself. If you were to freeze time in India for so much as fifteen seconds, with the rest of the world still moving forward… the impact on the environment would be disastrous."
