Chapter 9 - Chapter-9 : Its Science Not Magic

He turned and headed back toward the lab, the vial held tightly in his hand. He vanished through the now-closing door, leaving Dhruv and Anika standing alone in the giant chamber. The research had started.

Days and nights merged into a perpetual round of investigation for Dr. Rudra. He worked day and night, running every conceivable test on Dhruv. At last, there was a pattern. Dhruv's cells had remnants of an unknown, energetic signature, woven into his DNA, but separate. It was as if his cells vibrated on a divine frequency.

Ultrasonics scanned this energy focused in precise locations: his hand, throat, forehead, and close to his heart – energy pathways directing his powers. His DNA, though human, had minute but meaningful differences, not mutations, but upgrades, as if his genetic makeup was pre-destined to accept these powers.

Dr. Rudra leaned back, astounded. He did not comprehend the "how," the divine favor, but the "what" was undeniable. Dhruv's abilities were an undeniable fact, grounded in his very existence. He had scientific evidence. Dhruv was a miracle alive.

He got up, his expression a combination of wonder and scientific elation. He went to the training room where Dhruv and Anika were working hard.

"Dhruv!" he shouted, his voice echoing with urgency. "I get it! I get it now how these abilities are functioning!"

"It's not magic, Dhruv," Dr. Rudra declared, his eyes aglow with scientific amazement. "It's science. It's… something more. Something we're only just starting to realize. But now we know…now we have evidence…we can learn to harness it. We can learn to strengthen it.

We can learn to utilize it to its very best. We can use it to vanquish Dashanan ."

Dhruv gazed at the holographic screens, the intricate pictures of cells and DNA whirling before his eyes.

He gazed from the screen to Dr. Rudra, his expression a mask of confusion.

"I….I don't get it," he confessed, his voice tinged with frustration. "You're speaking of energy signatures, DNA upgrades… it's all so…scientific. I sensed the touch of gods, a rush of power it-it....felt spiritual. How can both be simultaneously true?"

Anika put a reassuring touch on his arm. "What Dr. Rudra is telling you, Dhruv," she said gently, "is your experience, your sense of connection to the divine…it has a physical source. It's not something you believe, it's something that exists, something you can quantify, study. It's not any less miraculous simply because it's also science."

Dhruv scowled, still having trouble understanding the idea. "But…the…gods…the temple…the….ritual…"

Dr. Rudra nodded in understanding. "The ritual, the temple… those can have been the triggers, Dhruv. The vehicle through which this…divine energy was awakened within you. But the energy itself, the power… it's part of you now. It's ingrained in your very existence. And since we now know its nature, we can learn to harness it. We can learn to build its strength. We can learn to tame it."

He turned to Dhruv, attempting to make the complicated scientific terminology simpler. "Imagine this way, Dhruv," he started. "Everything in the world is made up of small particles known as electrons, and the electrons oscillate at various frequencies. Somehow, while you were at the temple, the frequency of the electrons in your body…it shifted. It became…supercharged. Super strong.

You're using these frequencies now to activate your powers. It's like… you're a conductor of this cosmic energy. You can manage it. You can direct it. And that's what we're going to be able to do, together."

He then described each power separately, beginning with Divya Drishti. "Divya Drishti," he said, "it's as if your body is attempting to… adjust to another individual's electron frequency. It's feeling their vibrations, their energy. And from that, you are able to see their emotions, their intentions, their intuitions. It's a subtle resonance.

Your own supercharged electrons are resonating to the subtle frequencies of others."

He then proceeded to Vaani Siddhi. "Vaani Siddhi is similar, but it's more…..active. Here, your electron frequency is attempting to alter the other person's frequency. You're basically attempting to….affect their vibrations. That's why it's more difficult to affect someone with a strong will. Their own frequency is quite stable, very potent.

Your electrons must work a lot harder to alter it, and sometimes they can't. It's a frequencies battle, Dhruv. And the stronger will typically prevails."
