Moira's POV:
" What the hell happened?" Layla asked, as I came running out of Zayreen's office. She is pacing near the stairs and got startled once she saw my reddened face and erratic behavior.
" N..Nothing! What would happen?" I sure look like a guilty thief but iam not going to tell any soul what just happened inside the office.
Layla is my best friend, she won't judge me but i'm too ashamed to spill the truth.
" Okay! That beta has ordered us to gather outside the pack house." She informed, sending a nasty scowl towards Zayreen's office.
Someone has made an enemy already, at the way Layla is glaring at the door like she wants to light it on fire.
" Why? Why does he want us to gather outside? Only the two of us? Or everyone?" I asked, confused and at the same time fear crawling up my spine at the thought of getting kicked out of the pack even before getting the help we came here for.
" He said they are going to have a pack meeting and they all meet at the training ground and his Alpha wants us there too as he wants to introduce us to his pack and clear the air." she waved her hand around her head at the last sentence and her wolf came forward in anger like the beta has purposefully insulted us.
" Iam going to have a talk about them insulting us at given chance with the Alpha." My wolf is restless and angry at the disrespect the two of the pack members have shown us.
" One of them is personal, right, Moira?" My wolf mocked playfully, wagging her tail and grinning.
" Oh, Shut up. It's not personal." I defended but deep down we both know it is personal. I Am very much attracted to the Alpha but he is crazy, talking about mates and stuff.
We never heard of a Rogue having a mate and he just wants to get into my pants.
" You will gladly allow him into your pants." She teased, filling my head with all the naughty pictures of Alpha Zayreen and me in some questionable positions.
" Ummm, Why are you blushing, Moira?" Layla asked, pulling me from a chit chat with my wolf who is being a tease.
" Nothing! Let's go then. We need to find the training grounds too because no one is going to help us find it." I rolled my eyes, getting annoyed by the way they are hostile towards us just because they have a bad picture about Rogues.
" Yeah! Goddess help me before I lose my cool." Layla grumbled, as we walked towards the exit.
Pack house seemed empty as we exited the house and no one seemed to be wandering outside too.
" I think everyone has already gathered at the grounds." Layla wondered, we are walking aimlessly towards a path hoping that we are going the right way.
" Are we going the right way or are you just walking blindly?" I chuckled at her serious expression as she was searching her surroundings with her eyes and straining her ears to hear any sound.
" Shhh! Let me concentrate and the training grounds in the pack are mostly situated at the end of the pack so I'm taking you on the right way." She came from a pack which abused her and banished her from the pack just because she was an omega and she stood up against their abuse.
" We are on the right path, Moira! Just follow me." She ordered like she knows where she is going but we can't be sure till we see the grounds but i silently followed her.
As we walked some more distance after passing the houses, there stood a large ground. As Layla predicted, the ground is on the end of the pack and every single one of the pack members stood in rows upon rows.
" Holy crap! There are a lot of mutts in there." Layla exclaimed, clearly as surprised as iam. I didn't expect Zayreen's pack to be this big but he is crossing all my expectations.
" You want him to cross your naughty expectations too!" My wolf teased, wagging her tail and tapping happily.
She was never this chatty and never expressed her thoughts but since we came here she has changed a lot.
We walked towards the crowd, i don't know where we have to stand.
Every single person's back stiffened as soon as we closed the distance between them and us. They all turned around towards the scent wafting from us, they can smell us as we are new here and especially rogues.
Low warning growls started echoing around us, my wolf stood guard, ready to defend ourselves and Layla.
Goosebumps rose all over my body as my wolf was readying herself to shift at any moment.
" I don't think this is a good idea, Moira." Layla muttered, she is agitated too.
" Keep walking and don't react. We came here for help, not to fight." I warned Layla who just grunted in response and followed me to the front of the crowd.
Alpha Zayreen and his beta stood there, looking at us walking towards them.
" Silence!" Alpha Zayreen's voice booked through the grounds and gained everyone's attention and the growling stopped.
" They mean no harm so stand down." a low murmur spreads through the crowd and there is surprise, shock and anger in those murmurs.
" Alpha, How can you allow these rogues to enter our pack?" A elderly man demanded, his disgust coming off of him in waves making me and Layla feel uncomfortable at the same time anger rising at his words.
" I know, you are all upset with this but they came to seek help from us. They are not normal rogues but they have a pack and it's in danger." Alpha Zayreen informed the curious crowd but with their murmurs they are still not convinced and agitated.
" Rogues are Rogues, Alpha. We can't trust them." This time it's Jules who hurled words and a smirk covered her lips and an evil glint shined in her eyes as her eyes fell on Moira.
" Yes, Alpha! How can you forget what they did to you?" Another member of the pack asked Zayreen who tensed at his question and his jaw set tight and he fists his hands.
" I didn't forget anything, as I said before they mean no harm but our protection." Zayreen gritted out the words, making eye contact with the man who asked the question.
" Allowing them into our pack means disrespecting our Luna." Another person mumbled loud enough to let everyone know.
My eyes went towards Zayreen to see him seething and his wolf ready to take over him. His eyes change colors but he is holding it back.
Does Alpha Zayreen have a mate? And he is already mated? If he has a mate then what the hell was that in his office when he was all over me!
Is he cheating on his mate!
I Am going to kill him for taking me as a fool once I will get my hands on him.
