Chapter 12 - Experiencing Minecraft

After exterminating all of the pillagers in the outpost, I made my way to the captured villager.

Still unable to communicate with the resident of this world, I quickly code a basic text to speech function on my phone. I made note to actually recode this properly and have it use a relatively proper voice instead of the robotic one when I get back home.

Using the system to translate our conversation, I found out her village was about 20 kilometers to the northwest of here.

In terms of appearance, the villager's appearance is pretty average to that of a regular person. Nothing noteworthy to take home about.

Finishing up our conversation, I started dragging the pillager's bodies out and pile them outside the outpost. Unlike in game there corpse didn't drop items or anything and didn't despawn into thin air.

"I guess looting off their bodies is considered items."

Initially I thought of simply just burning the pile but the smell of burnt flesh and all would smell awful plus the sight of charred corpses piled together is pretty horrifying.

Heading back to the car, I droved it into the outpost and was ready to grab my entrenching tool or shovel, but then my stomach started to growl.

"Taking a little break to eat and relieve myself shouldn't be too bad before digging."

Making my way to the outpost kitchen I looked around for any food and came across some bread, pies, and a few other foods that's definitely wasn't in a vanilla Minecraft and most likely from a cooking or food mod installed.

Sharing some of the food with the villager girl, I headed back to the car to get some food for the dogs and C.C.

After 20 minutes of eating I went exploring the main building with the 3 K9s again and found a door I probably forgot to clear and opening it was a spiral staircase heading down to a basement probably.

It was damped inside dimly lit with torches on the wall.

Lowering my night vision, and began my descent. Reaching the bottom, I found what look like a holding cells or dungeon with pillager guard deep in his sleep.

"Sleeping on the job? sheesh, I would've gotten chewed out back in basic."

Silently dispatching the guard with my knife, I made my way to the holding cells and found 5 more villagers inside, 3 men and 2 women.

Opening the cell with the keys i found on the guard I brought them back up to the kitchen and had them eat something.

This time, heading back to the car and grabbing my shovel. I look at the spot I want to dig and ponder if digging was really as easy as it was in the game.

Plunging the shovel head into the ground, I started digging, it felt like I was digging sand.

It wasn't as hard to dig dirt here compared to digging in real life with.

Every cubic meter I dig, the dirt magically slumped together into a tight square cube, but unlike in Minecraft where the dirt float on the ground and shrink to the size that fit your hand.

Here, the dirt stayed motionless and stayed the size of a normal 1 cubic meter dirt block all around.

Digging for about an hour or so, I manage to roughly dig about 40 cubic meters or 40 dirt blocks.

"What a convenient way to measure."

Helping the dogs out and climbing with the rope I laid down before I digged to deep, i went back to the car to rest. Wouldn't want to literally dig my own grave with no ways to get out now would I?

Hopefully I can learn magic or write a system code to boost my gain during training or something.

Compared to Steve who only get hungry and never tired, I'm still a normal human and digging a large pit is tiring.

Drinking the rest of the bottle, I started dumping the rest of the pillager into the pit. Knowing that zombie and skeleton are real and they could turned into one at night.

I decided to torch them so I wouldnt have to worry about a hordes immediatelyon the first night of my travel.

The previously captured villagers decided they would head back to their village tomorrow morning after a good night of rest.

They each took a room with a bed inside and they immediately those off.

"I dont know if the bed are really that soft that you could immediately go night night or it was some weird instinctual habits or peehaps some kind of world rules or something.

Heading out and making my way to a guard tower. I decided to setup there for the night and observes to see if mob really do randomly spawn in unlit area like in the game.

Seeing that it was 5:30pm on my watch, I set an alarm for 2 hours and decided to take a nap.

Luckily the system sent me through with similarly matching time to the real world, but I probably still need to calibrate the time with this world eventually.
