"In a world shrouded in mystery, there are those who can see what others cannot.
They can hear what others cannot hear.
They can feel what others cannot feel.
They are the ones who walk between worlds, straddling the boundary between the seen and the unseen.
They are the ones who must face the impossible—and make the impossible possible...
They are… THE KNIGHTS."

Location: Unknown Planet...
Delia stood atop a jagged cliff, her transformation fading.
Her wings retracted. Her claws retreated. Her scales vanished.
She looked human again—black armor hugging her figure, hands coated in dust.
All around her, the sky roared with thunderstorms. Beasts shrieked in the distance.
She had trained here for what felt like years.
Days passed like seconds. Time was broken in this world.
But here, she had become something else.
Something... more.
The ground behind her trembled. A massive beast—scaled, horned, muscled like stone—lunged at her, its gaping jaws flashing.
"Seriously?" she murmured, tired.
She vanished.
Reappeared behind it.
Her blade—Korga—was already through its neck.
Slice.
The creature fell with a thunderous crack. She didn't even glance back.
'Yaaawn.'
She reached into a pocket of her armor and pulled out a black watch.
"Elsa, how's the war?"
The watch crackled. A moment of static.
Then a soft voice:
"D-Delia… the war's not going well on Xyl'kor. I suggest you intervene now—if you think you're ready, that is…"
She stared into the storming skies.
Emma. Adam. Delphine. Jess. Charles. Lila...
"I kinda miss them…"
---
Location: Planet Xyl'kor
The battlefield was soaked in ash and blood.
Students. Teachers. Warriors. Knights.
Fighting desperately.
"WHERE IS THE F***ING AETHER?!" someone screamed.
A monstrous beast—twelve feet tall, covered in glowing green spikes—charged at him.
The man fired a massive fireball.
It fizzled against the beast's skin.
He braced for death.
Then—everything stopped.
A low hum filled the air.
The beast froze mid-jump…
...and disintegrated into dust.
All eyes turned.
A streak of violet light slammed into the ground with a sonic boom.
Dust exploded outward. The field trembled.
From the heart of the crater… Delia emerged.
Taller. Stronger.
Her eyes glowed purple. Her sword crackled with raw power.
Her Aether Aura surrounded her—shadowy tendrils swirling like fog.
"Is that… is that her?" Charles muttered.
He could barely believe it. He had been forced to fight with only his blade, something he didn't like using...
His powers cursed by a certain female.
Emma stepped forward, stunned. "It's her. Delia."
Jess whispered, "About damn time…"
Delia's eyes swept across the battlefield.
Friends bleeding.
Bodies everywhere.
Zenith's forces… winning.
"Get behind me," she said calmly.
Then shouted, "NOW!"
Delphine reacted instantly—zipping across the field, pulling survivors behind Delia's position.
The rest formed up beside her.
Zenith's soldiers stepped forward.
Dozens of beasts growled, ready to charge.
Delia took a breath.
"Let's test the new skill."
Her system interface blinked into view.
Her Aether Aura expanded like a dragon—swirling, roaring, pressing the earth into a crater beneath her feet.
She raised her sword.
"Eliminate."
A blinding shockwave of pure Aether burst from her blade.
Every enemy ahead of her—beasts, soldiers, monsters—was erased in an instant.
No screams.
No blood.
Just... gone.
Silence.
The kind of silence that makes your heart forget how to beat.
Even Lila—blinked. "What… what did she do?"
Delia turned. Her hair swayed gently. Her aura faded.
"Xyl'kor is safe," she said.
"What planet's next?"
Her AI watch updated her.
She vanished in a flash of violet.
"Just what did they do to her there?" Lila whispered.

Back to Present (Author's POV)
There are times we ask ourselves…
Is magic real? Do supernatural beings exist?
The answers lie within the walls of a certain institution.
One where ordinary beings are trained to become warriors of an oncoming Armageddon.
But that's in another world.
Here, on Earth?
We're just… humans.

But let's rewind to where her part of the main story truly begins…

(Delia's POV)
So I'm skating home.
Another day of boring Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. I just want peace.
We're poor. Still.
If I hadn't fixed our landlord's PC, we'd have been kicked out by now.
Still no friends. Which, honestly, feels like an achievement. I hate those things.
💢Knock knock💢
Mom's home today. Off duty.
"Welcome, dear. How was school?" she asks, smiling as she helps with my bag.
She acts like nothing's wrong. But it's obvious.
"Yeah. It was cool."
That's my standard reply.
She sighs. She's not content. She wants me to socialize.
To make friends.
She tosses the bag onto the dining table. I lean my skateboard against the porch.
"Delie? When's someone going to walk you home? Or take you to the movies? Or just anywhere without your skateboard?"
She pauses. Her voice tightens.
"You're making me feel like I failed raising you…"
Oh no. Here she goes.
"Umm. I'll try. Sorry," I mutter.
She stares. Not convinced.
"Del, I'm serious."
sigh
"Alright, Mom. I'm sorry."
Still staring.
I add quickly, "I'll… m-make friends. I'll try, okay? Sooner than you think... And I'm serious this time. Now smile?"
I might've exaggerated the sooner than you think part.
And just like I expected, she smiles.
"Thanks, Del."
"Now enough with this mood. What's cooking?" I wave a hand over her face with a grin.

A Few Days Later…
RINGGGGG!!
The bell rings during Biology.
Everyone rushes to the hall.
I pause.
There's a group of people in black coats with a ⚜️ symbol on the back talking to the principal. She looks uncomfortable. Forced.
Then—
Screeeeech
High-pitched mic sound.
"Good day, students of BrainStone College. I want to announce… a club is being formed. A few students will be selected to join. Be on your best behavior. You'll be observed."
"Up BrainStone College!!"
"Excellence!!!"
(The crowd chants like zombies. Ugh.)
Back to class.
I stop by my locker.
I check my mirror.
I look pale.
Then… voices.
In my head.
They get louder.
I walk. See two students arguing. And somehow- I feel their anger. I feel it like it's mine.
I brush past them.
They freeze.
I freeze.
I feel... connected. I close my eyes. Open them.
They stop fighting.
I close my eyes again. Open.
They resume.
What. The. Hell?
A girl rushes by. She's scared. It doesn't show, but I can feel it.
I focus.
Suddenly—I'm in her mind.
Her thoughts. Her pain.
"Why is this girl staring at me weirdly?"
I hear it. Her thought.
This isn't good.
But something in me pushes.
I walk up to her.
"Umm… I don't know you. I just want to say—whatever's going on, don't let it take your smile. I mean, you're pretty, and a smile would look nice on you. I'm the last person who'd ever do this... Just- confide in someone, it'll help. Bye."
And I walk away.
What the heck just happened?

RINGGGGG!!
Closing bell.
I get on my board. Start skating.
"Hey!! Girl!! Wait!"
I turn.
It's her.
She runs toward me.
Panting. "I thought about what you said. I don't know how you knew… It's my uncle. He's been doing it for two years. Every time…"
Tears stream down her face.
"I wish I could just kill him. I'm Jess, by the way."
She stretches out her hand.
"Yeah, sure. But I don't do handshakes. And as for your uncle—handle it. Leave me out."
I skate off.
She shouts, "I'll still catch up!"
She disappears.
Seconds later—motor sound.
She's behind me. On a bike.
"Told you I'd catch up!"
I stop.
"What?"
"I just want to know your name. And how you knew about my uncle. And maybe… we could be friends?"
🛑
Friends?
Really?
For Mom.
"My name's Delia. I don't know how I knew. And yeah. Let's be… friends. Sure."
"Awesome! Come to my place. If you're free?"
Mom's not home. Nothing to do.
"Sure."
She hands me a helmet.
She's emotional. Hyper. Her hazel eyes and pink hair give her this glow.
It's… warm.
Ew.
---
(Delia's POV)
A few minutes later, we arrive at her house. It's massive.
"Yours?" I ask, eyebrows raised.
"Yep! Just me and my mom. Cool, right? You can come over anytime you like," she says, practically glowing.
Yeah… not planning to.
We step in. I drop my skateboard by the door. There's a pool. Fancy décor. Rich-kid stuff.
"C'mon," she says, gesturing for me to follow her upstairs.
"So… where are your parents?" I ask.
"They're at work. You?"
"My mom's working too."
"Your dad?"
"Gone. Don't want to talk about it."
"Sorry…" she says gently. "Can we talk now? Earlier—you said you didn't know how you figured out what I was going through. Has that ever happened before?"
I hesitate, The question makes me uneasy. But… I guess this is what having a friend means.
"I just… feel inside people. What they've been through. What they're thinking. It's creepy. It's even happening now—my head's blurry."
"I understand," Jess says.
"You don't."
"I do, actually," she says seriously. "I have something similar. I can control the energy that flows through organisms… even nature. I can heal wounds. That's how I cope—when my uncle… does what he does."
The way she says that last part catches my attention. Heavy. Like a locked door creaking open.
"What are you going to do about him? I say we go to the police."
"I've thought about it. But he has confidential files from my parents' company. If those get leaked, the company could crash. He blackmails us with it."
Jess's voice shakes. She's scared.
Damn.
"When is he coming home?" I ask.
"Soon."
"I'll stay. Do you have a phone?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"I don't have one. Need to text my mom I might not come back tonight."
She hands it over. I send the message.
We keep talking. A few hours pass.
Then—
Ding-dong. 🔔
Her eyes widen.
"He's back," she whispers. "He's coming for me… You should hide."
I nod and slide under the bed.
---
"Jessica…" a deep, heavy voice echoes through the hallway. "Where are you?"
She doesn't answer.
"I know you're here. Stop wasting time. Let's get this over with. You should be used to this by now."
Still silent.
He kicks the door open. I watch his feet move closer to her.
"You heard me. Why didn't you say anything? No matter what—I'm still your uncle. I deserve respect—"
She cuts him off.
"You deserve nothing! You're not an uncle—you're a monster! I hate you!"
I quietly grab her phone and hit record.
He laughs coldly. "No, no, I'm not a monster. And don't waste your energy… you're going to need it."
He starts unbuttoning his shirt and pants. Jess starts crying.
"No. No, please. I'm begging you," she pleads.
"Shut up," he growls.
"You shut up!" I intervened
And then—
🔨💥‼️
Oh, it wasn't Jess.
It was yours truly.
A blow to the side of his head with a thick metal lamp.
He falls, groaning.
I'm frozen, panting.
He tries to rise.
Another blow.
He's out cold.

Author's POV
The video went viral within hours.
Jess's uncle was arrested—for rape, child abuse, blackmail.
It made national news.
Jess and Delia? Now closer than ever.
Jess told her parents everything.
In gratitude, they offered Delia's family a house—fully paid for.
Jess even requested a custom skating rink for Delia, and her parents agreed without hesitation.
Delia was finally… safe.
---
Delia's POV
Life is going well for once.
I've got my own rink.
Mom only worries about groceries.
Jess is always by my side.
Peace. Finally.
Or… is it?
Days pass. School is chill.
Jess and I grow even closer.
But one day surprises me the most.
---
RINGGGGGGG!!
Assembly bell again.
All students gather in the hall.
The principal steps up with a big announcement.
"Students of this prestigious school," she begins, "I'm proud to announce the six nominees for the new club I mentioned earlier."
Number One: "Jessica Jones."
Applause erupts.
"Please meet me in the clubroom at recess."
Number Two: "Adam Rosen."
More applause.
Number Three: "Charles Daphne."
Claps.
Number Four: "Emma Daphne."
More cheers.
Number Five: "Delphine Zora."
Excited murmurs.
And finally—
Number Six: "Delia Owens."
Silence.
"…Aren't you going to give her a round of applause?" the principal asks, a little annoyed.
A few scattered claps follow.
She sighs and leaves the stage.
Me?
I look at Jess.
She grins.
That's how I, Delia Owens, got nominated for a mysterious club I know nothing about…
And somehow, I feel like everything's about to change.
