Chapter 1 - Are You My Zanpakutō?

The sea in the middle of the night is raging.

Ripples chase ripples, and waves chase waves.

A small cargo ship fully loaded with containers passed through waves of violent waves, like a clumsy beast, struggling hard in the wind and waves, trying to break out of the impossible swamp.

Huge waves rose high from the sea and rushed towards the ship with the force of thunder, stirring up a sky full of noisy white waves, and then, carrying the force of the night wind, hit the deck like a waterfall.

Suddenly, the sharp noises of two explosions pierced through the roar of the waves on the sea, the howling of the wind, and the painful groans of the ship.

The freighter rose and fell in the raging waves, and explosions were heard from the dim cabin.

A man rushed out of the cabin door, grabbed the railing on the side of the ship with one hand, held the pistol tightly with the other hand, and looked vigilantly at the cabin door behind him.

The next moment, another slim figure walked out leisurely.

No matter how bumpy the boat was, she always looked relaxed, as if she was walking on solid ground.

"Little guy, you can't run away."

In the flickering light of the cabin, her pupils glowed with a faint blue light, and the fangs slightly protruding between her two red lips made her look like the nightmare banshee in Jewish mythology that often haunted people's dreams.

"Don't be afraid."

Her eyes were filled with amusement, and the tip of her tongue slid across her plump red lips, like an elegant yet cruel cat gazing at its prey. "I've changed my mind.

You actually managed to escape and even killed a few guards.

Even though they were useless, you're enough to impress me...

Haha, I will grant you the noble bloodline of the Blood Clan.

You will become a member of the Hesenba family, the aristocracy of the night."

"Sorry, I have no interest in becoming a vampire!"

Gink's face was as pale as white paper, but his eyes were as calm as diamonds.

Coming to this strange and dangerous world, he has lost everything in his life...except his original life.

But if life is the only thing left in life, it seems that we don't care about losing it.

Gink leaned against the side of the boat, trying to steady himself, and raised the gun in his hand.

When he was feeling depressed, he went to the Middle East to work as a mercenary. Although he was only a temporary bodyguard in the war zone and not helping the army in fighting, he was familiar enough with the use of various firearms.

Therefore, since he escaped from the cage of human traffickers, seven people have died at his gunpoint - those Hagui people who serve vampires. They collect people from all over the world and transport them to the breeding farms of vampire families to become backup food for vampires.

When Gink woke up from his coma, he was locked in a container with the same group of captured people. He stole the pistol from a guard's waist and, relying on a bit of luck, shot and killed several guards in succession, escaping from the messy container...

Then, he met this female vampire.

Ordinary bullets were ineffective against vampires, and ordinary bullets were all he had.

Bang!

Bang!

Gink had only had brief contact with a gun during military training. Now, standing on the bumpy deck, his ability to successfully hit the target was already the result of a burst of adrenaline, and he could no longer force himself to hit the target's vital points.

The first bullet grazed the female vampire's arm and flew to an unknown place.

The second bullet hit the female vampire's lower abdomen, splashing a little bright blood.

Unfortunately, the impact of the bullet only caused her steps to pause slightly.

"Isn't it possible..."

The heaviness of despair weighed on his chest, and Gink couldn't help but take a deep breath.

At that moment, the bow of the ship suddenly sank and fell into the valley between two huge waves. He was already exhausted and suddenly lost weight. He involuntarily tilted to the left and fell into the dark and raging waves.

The turbulent, cold sea water swept in from all directions.

Gink felt like he had fallen into a washing machine, being rolled and sunk by the force of the water. He didn't know how many times he turned, and then it pushed him to the surface of the sea, but only allowed him to take a breath before it swallowed him up again.

Waves of icy sea water surged in, and surrounded by the biting cold, he felt a burning heat like fire.

Ice and fire.

Cold and hot.

That extremely complicated feeling made him feel an inexplicable peace.

Can't see clearly.

No feeling.

I can't even feel the pain.

It was as if the whole world was in chaos, with only myself, who had turned into black, floating around.

So, it's not so much that I died.

It's more like the feeling that everything around me has disappeared.

Is this what death feels like?

Gink acted with the calmness of a bystander, as if she was just a spectator watching the disappearance of another life.

Suddenly, he heard a murmur.

"Can you hear me?"

"Why don't you call my name?"

"I'm waiting for you!"

"I'm waiting for you!!!"

Who is it? ! !

The light in front of Gink's eyes dimmed, and when he opened his eyes again, the world before him had completely changed.

This is an infinitely vast world.

Endless clouds surged under my feet, and the sky around me was empty.

In the vast space, countless sword blades are floating, reflecting the boundless colors and shining with crystal-like brilliance.

Gink suddenly fell into a dream, standing alone between light and darkness, his deep black eyes looking around at the strange world around him in surprise.

"You're here."

A sudden sound.

The clear sky was suddenly covered with dark clouds, and the thick clouds began to drop snowflakes, which were then picked up by the howling wind and drifted down onto the extremely lonely clouds.

Immediately afterwards, a brilliant light flashed from the depths of the clouds and landed in front of Gink, transforming into a man wearing silver flame armor.

He was quite tall and had an extraordinary handsome face. He stood there quietly, like a towering mountain, giving people a heavy sense of oppression.

In the rising clouds, Gink and the man in silver flame armor stared at each other.

Then he asked, "Who are you? Did you send me into this world?"

In response to his voice, the heroic man gently raised his right arm.

Swish!

Countless black substances flowed out of the void and turned into a long and narrow black blade in his palm.

"Do you still have room for random thoughts?"

The man's dark eyes were fixed on Gink. He raised the black blade in his hand, stirring up wind and fire all over the sky, cutting the clouds apart like scissors.

The crack extended to Gink's feet, and just as it was about to cut him in half, it stopped spreading silently.

Gink's eyes flickered, and he pursed his lips: "I think you didn't pull me in here to kill me..."

There was a hint of other meaning in the man's fierce eyes. He suddenly raised his hand and a colorful light flew towards Gink.

At the moment when the spiritual light came into his body, Gink's mind suddenly became clear. It seemed as if countless elves suddenly appeared in the air that he had always ignored.

They danced happily, blending into his flesh and blood, and into his soul.

At the same time, columns of information began to refresh on his retina.

"Death God Battle..."

For a moment, Gink stared at the familiar painting style, and the corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch.

He has also experienced the baptism of the three major popular comics, and he especially likes "Death God". When he has nothing to do, he has been playing Death God-type mobile games.

Is it because he is addicted to the Death God game that he was given such a set of plug-ins?

He mumbled, looking up at the man with a hint of curiosity, "Are you... my Zanpakutō?"

"Boy...are you qualified to hold me?"

The Silver Flame man snorted coldly, raised his eyebrows slightly, and revealed a hint of disdain.

Following his cold words, the air around him quickly became agitated as if in rejection.

"There will be."

Gink's hair and clothes were blown by the wind as she walked.

However, he never wavered.

After a while, the man uttered a few words indifferently: "Liu Dao, my name."

"You reveal your name so easily?"

Amidst the howling hurricane, Gink tilted his head in surprise, but quickly extended his right hand. "Then... obey me, Liudao."

Together we survive this dangerous new world!
