Chapter 1 - Prologue: Becoming the King of Heroes

My entire life was spent in a hospital bed; my only escape was Through Manga and Light Novels. The pain in my chest wouldn't let me be a normal child. Gradually, the pain got worse as the heat rose in me. Eventually, it got to the point where I couldn't breathe without pain.

Day by day, I weaken. It has gotten to the point that my Birth Parents couldn't bear to watch and stopped coming. My Mother, Raphtalia Iwatani, and my Father, Naofumi Iwatani, were heartbroken, but my sister, Sakura Iwatani, stayed by my side till the end.

My last day alive, before my sister could get here, I told the doctors and nurses.

"Thank you, (Cough- Cough-) everybody, for taking care of me till now. Please tell, Ugh- my family, that I'm sorry..."

Then, at XX XX, 20XX, Hakuto Iwatani breathed his last breath, losing consciousness, fading into darkness.

Narrator POV

Unknown to him, in another part of the Multiverse, his father and mother watched his whole life with sadness. It was then Naofumi Iwatani, the Shield Hero, who saved the multitude of worlds in the Cardinal Worlds, eventually rising to god hood, used a portion of his powers to summon his son's soul to them.

Hakuto's POV

I gradually regain my senses, and I open my eyes to see a younger version of my father and my mother, but my mom has tanuki ears and a tail.

Confused, I asked. "Um, can I ask where I am?" which gets chuckles from his godly parents.

"Don't worry, we won't harm our Counterpart's child." My father said, to which my mother said. "Also, you're in our Divine Realm. We called you here to grant you a new life."

My father spoke once again. "Although we can't send you back to your original plane, we can send you to a different one."

Surprised, I asked them about my family in my universe, to which my father responded.

"Ah, don't worry about that. Since they are our fragments, I can make it so they can forget about you. But don't worry, their memories transfer to me."

As I visibly calmed and said. "Alright, I'm ready."

They both nod, and an orb of power formed and shot into my soul as I slowly lost consciousness...

Narrator POV

Once Hakuto was gone, Naofumi spoke. "So, where should we send him?" To which Raphtalia answered with. "Let's send him to a modern but moderately dangered world."

"Hmm... Okay, this will work."
