Min-jae, orphaned at an early age, was raised by his grandfather to be an honest and good man. His perseverance and hard work made it possible to enter a famous university and secure a place at a big company. Soon, the time came to doubt whether honesty was worth it in life. He walked to the CEO's cabin to submit an important tender document. "Wait! The boss is in a meeting! Come back in a few minutes," the secretary said. But Min-jae didn't care; this was a life-or-death situation for the company. He invaded the room without permission. What he caught shocked his soul. "Lin!" His face filled with despair. His girlfriend was kneeling before his boss, doing something unimaginable. "What the hell is going on?" "Gina! Gina!" the boss called his secretary. Gina stood nervously. "Why the hell did you allow him into the room? Can't you do this little thing properly?" he scolded her. Lin stood with disheveled clothes, feeling guilty in part of her mind. The fury built inside Min-jae was unleashed; he punched the face of his boss. But the second punch was stopped by Lin. "Stop, Min-jae!" "Are you okay?" Lin asked the boss with concern. Min-jae was clenching his fist. "Do you know what you are doing, Min-jae?" asked Lin. "Do you know?" Min-jae countered, hoping she was forced. "Of course I do, I do it willingly. To be frank, we are dating!" Lin said, which froze Min-jae. "Lie! Lie! It must be a lie," Min-jae murmured, unable to believe it. "Min-jae, you are poor, you can't give me the life I wanted! That's why! Now that you found out, I don't need to be secretive," Lin said. "How long has this been happening?" Min-jae asked. "Maybe two years," she replied casually, without any guilt. He threw the file in his hand to the floor and turned to leave. "Min-jae, you are fired," the boss said. Min-jae turned and showed his middle finger. "Who needs your fucking job? I am not a gigolo!" he replied. His boss showed his true colors and blacklisted him. Now he was jobless.
He walked in the street, heartbroken. He noticed a beggar shivering in the cold and coughing. That face reminded him of his grandfather, who always said to be positive in life. "Old man, take this!" He gave him his coat. "Thanks!" the beggar said with gratitude. He looked more and more like his grandfather. Min-jae asked him to wait there, returned with three noodles and one fried chicken, and gave it to the beggar. The beggar was surprised that this man brought him food. He took the food and devoured it like he hadn't eaten for a few days. "Slow! Don't choke!" Min-jae said.
"What's your story?" Min-jae asked. "I was abandoned by my family, and they stripped away everything I built," the beggar replied. Before farewell, Min-jae gave some money to the beggar to keep for emergencies. "Take this, young man! I have nothing to give, but this may be useful!" The beggar gave him an incense stick.
