America huddled behind a piece of destroyed laboratory equipment, gasping for breath. The low growls and footsteps of the surrounding monsters were suffocating her, and she gritted her teeth, not allowing herself to make a sound. Her gaze occasionally darted towards the center of the battle not far away, where the clash between Dominic and Wanda was like two World-destroying forces constantly colliding.
Her fingers were tightly clenching the hem of her clothes, her palms covered in cold sweat. Although Wanda's goal was to kill her, America's heart was not completely consumed by fear. She knew Wanda was chasing her because Wanda had lost everything. She mumbled in a low voice, "She just wants her children... Is that really so wrong?"
A voice from the bottom of her heart countered, "But how many people, how many Worlds, does her 'want' need to destroy? She is already terribly wrong."
She bit her lower lip tightly, her eyes looking at Dominic once again. He was like an unyielding god, and Wanda's frenzied attacks seemed to have no effect on him. America's brows furrowed. Although she didn't like Dominic's condescending, cold-hearted attitude, she had to admit that he was the only one who could stop Wanda at the moment.
"He doesn't seem like a hero at all, more like a tyrant," she thought to herself, lowering her head to look at her hands. These hands had opened countless passages to The Multiverse, but now, they were shamefully powerless.
"If I could control it better, if I wasn't so useless..." Images of the Worlds she had inadvertently destroyed, the lives she couldn't protect, flashed through her mind. Her breathing quickened, and her chest felt heavy.
Just then, a monster suddenly lowered its head and sniffed her scent. America's gaze snapped towards the pair of eyes glowing with green light. The monster growled and lunged forward.
"Damn it!" she cursed as she stood up and ran back with all her might, the monster chasing her relentlessly. She could feel its claws almost touching her back.
She ran into a narrower passage, and the monster behind her smashed everything in its path. Just as she was about to despair, the madness and obsession of Wanda and the ruthless face of Dominic suddenly flashed through her mind.
"I can't just die like this." She took a deep breath, paused her steps, and suddenly turned around, clenching her fists. She concentrated all her strength in her chest, recalling her past experiences controlling her abilities.
A faint blue energy flickered in her hands. The monster lunged, but America gritted her teeth and swung her fists violently. The blue light cut through the air, and a tiny star-shaped portal opened in front of her. The monster rushed straight into it and disappeared on the other side of the star shape.
America collapsed onto the ground, gasping for air. She looked down at her slightly trembling hands, a hint of determination appearing in her eyes: "I can't hide anymore. I have to stand up and help end this."
Her gaze returned to the distance. Wanda's chaos magic and Dominic's power were intertwined, already beginning to twist the surrounding space. She didn't know what she could do, but one thing was clear – she could no longer be a bystander.
Eddie slowly approached, the Venom shell slightly retracting. He tried to appear calm, but it was a forced calmness. His gaze fell on Wanda, who was sprawled on the ground, his expression complex: "She looks terrible, but god, her power... it's insane."
Venom's voice rumbled in his head, with a hint of unconcealed curiosity: "She smells very special. Especially the soles of her feet, maybe a little... salty?"
Eddie immediately rolled his eyes: "Shut up! Can you stop being so... outrageous."
"I'm just telling the truth, Eddie," Venom mumbled in a low voice, "and besides, maybe we can find something tasty on her."
Deadpool had already hopped over to Dominic's side, his eyes darting back and forth between Wanda's high heels and her messy hair. He made an exaggerated gesture, propping his chin with his hands, and said dreamily, "Dominic, look at you, and her. It makes you want to shout 'the aesthetic in charge of our scene'. Oh, by the way, even though her shoes are messy, I bet you'd be attracted to this kind of beauty in chaos."
Dominic ignored Deadpool, just giving him a cold glance.
Deadpool seemed oblivious to the other person's indifference and continued to ramble: "You know what this battle reminds me of? That scene where the big villain is defeated, and the male lead stands there, cold and ruthless. But do you know what's missing? I'll tell you - background music, and a slow-motion shot of 'her high heel broke'."
America finally walked over, interrupting Deadpool's nonsense. She stood next to Dominic, shrugged, and said calmly, "Does it matter if her high heel is broken or not? More importantly, the magnetic field is restored now, and I can feel my power slowly returning."
Deadpool immediately jumped up when he heard this, pulled out his device, pressed it twice, and the device lit up with a blue light. He turned to Dominic as if he had discovered a new continent and shouted, "Oh my god, we can finally leave this HYDRA version of hell! But don't you think we should deal with HYDRA while we're at it?"
Dominic turned his head to look at Deadpool, his tone as cold as the winter wind: "What's that got to do with me?"
Deadpool was stunned for a moment, then shrugged indifferently: "Alright, you're the protagonist, I'll listen to you."
America also shrugged helplessly: "Anyway, I'm only responsible for opening the door, not for clearing the scene."
Logan had been standing aside, silent. His gaze was fixed on Wanda, his complex expression, a mix of wariness and something else, hard to read. He seemed to want to say something, but in the end, he just lowered his head and sighed, turning to Dominic: "Let's go then."
Wanda was still lying on the ground, her body trembling slightly. Her hair was messy, and her clothes were covered in dust and bloodstains, but it still couldn't hide her temperament, a mix of despair and stubbornness.
Deadpool finally patted Wanda's shoulder: "Miss, you lost this round, but don't be sad, you still have a chance to fight back in the sequel."
Dominic stepped forward, saying without looking back: "The portal is open, leave."
The light of the device gradually brightened, and the group walked into the portal one by one, disappearing into the air.
As the group stepped out of the portal, the moment their feet touched solid ground, they found themselves in a damp, narrow alley. Dominic looked around, his gaze alert, Logan sniffed the air gently, Eddie leaned against the wall, catching his breath, while Deadpool was already staring at his device, a playful smile on his face.
"Tobey Maguire?" Deadpool muttered, then looked up at the group, "Peter Parker? Spider-Man? Oh, this is classic. Let me see who else - wait, what? Miles Morales? Two characters? This is getting interesting."
He paused, a mischievous smile playing on his lips: "Should I expect a youthful version of 'Split'? Two Spider-Men competing to see who can climb walls faster? Or maybe Tobey will teach Miles ballet so he can swing more elegantly?"
America rolled her eyes in exasperation: "Can you be serious for a moment? Wasn't what just happened enough to sober you up?"
"Sober?" Deadpool shrugged, "My life is lived in endless sequels, sobriety isn't in the script. Besides, isn't this the process of a popcorn movie? Big bad guy, savior, plus a little mid-game banter. Oh, by the way, shouldn't there be a romance scene in the next act? Maybe I can go on a date with... uh, Venom?"
"Shut up!" Eddie roared, and Venom's face instantly appeared on his shoulder, his mouth stretched wide to reveal a row of sharp teeth: "I'm not interested in him, but I'm very curious about what his head tastes like."
"Don't be in a hurry, Brother Venom," Deadpool waved his hand with a chuckle, "We still have to wait until the post-credits scene for this kind of strange plot."
Logan remained silent, just leaning against the wall smoking a cigar, his gaze occasionally sweeping towards the street. America, on the other hand, stood with her arms crossed, looking utterly speechless at Deadpool.
Deadpool seemed to think the atmosphere wasn't lively enough, and glanced at his device again, then let out an exaggerated sigh: "Oh, my god! We've all been pulled into Sony's movie Universe. Let me guess, is the main plot this time centered around these 'revitalizing' box office bombs: 'Madame Web: Super Sensory Awakening', 'Morbius: The Living Vampire', 'Kraven the Hunter'...?"
Venom suddenly poked his head out and hissed angrily: "Are you done yet?!"
"Hey, don't be angry, Venom," Deadpool spread his hands, looking innocent, "I'm just stating the facts. Look at your box office, never mind, let's not talk about sad things. At least you're more reliable than Madame Web, right?"
"Madame Web?" America raised an eyebrow, looking confused, "What is that thing?"
"Uh, a 'super sensory' lady, maybe with a hint of spider perfume, oh right, her superpower might include - instantly putting the audience to sleep?" Deadpool replied seriously.
Logan finally couldn't help but speak, blowing out a puff of smoke: "Can you shut up for a while?"
Deadpool shrugged: "Shut up? Then the entertainment value of this group would be halved. Besides, we just ran away from a crazy red Witch, shouldn't we celebrate?"
Dominic looked up and said in a calm but slightly intimidating tone: "Don't waste time, find the target, and keep moving."
Deadpool turned to look at Dominic, giving an exaggerated salute: "Yes, Captain! You are always so calm and charming. Oh, by the way, Wanda's battle just now was a visual feast. Oh, no, I forgot she almost killed us all."
Venom suddenly mumbled in a low voice: "I still want to know what the soles of her feet taste like."
Eddie slapped his forehead hard: "Please shut up!"
America sighed helplessly and started walking out of the alley. The others followed, but Deadpool's mouth still wouldn't stop: "So, do you think there will be a 'Spider-Man Retirement' storyline for Tobey? Or will Miles suddenly have a 'Spider-Man Rebellion Phase'? Oh, there are so many possibilities, I can't wait!"
Eddie muttered: "If it's really Peter this time, I hope he can web your mouth shut."
Deadpool, however, turned back cheerfully: "Good suggestion! But he'll have to catch me first."
