Chapter 25 - If You Can't Beat Them, Join Them

Tony landed on the scene, looking utterly bewildered, seeing Abomination just sitting there in the ruins, holding his head in his hands, looking dejected. The scene around him was completely inconsistent with the "fierce battle" he had anticipated earlier—shouldn't this guy be rampaging like a raging monster? Why does he look like a middle-aged man beaten down by life right now?

"Uh... this scene is a bit off," Tony couldn't help but mutter to himself. "It's like you see someone about to flip a table at a bar, but then they suddenly start crying about the unfairness of life."

Abomination heard Tony's footsteps, looked up with a glance, and saw Iron Man standing not far away. A hint of helplessness and self-mockery flashed in his eyes, then he sighed heavily, his face full of dejection.

"You're here to mock me too, aren't you?!" Abomination grumbled unhappily, his voice filled with the emotion of being severely beaten down.

Tony looked at the huge figure before him, his heart filled with complex emotions. He had originally prepared for a tough fight, but now Abomination's state looked like he had been beaten into submission by Dominic. His heart struggled—fight? Or... not fight? If he didn't have to fight, it was certainly best not to, after all, this guy's muscles weren't just for show.

Tony cautiously waved his hand, pretending to be relaxed, and said, "Hey, buddy, I didn't mean to mock you. I just... uh, happened to be passing by and thought I'd check things out. After all, I heard there was a big guy causing trouble here." He paused, an awkward smile on his face, "But now it seems you're not the only one causing trouble?"

Abomination suddenly stood up, his eyes burning with anger. Although he was exhausted, the rage inside him was still burning. The scene of being toyed with by Dominic just now lingered in his mind. He glared angrily at Tony, wishing he could vent all this humiliation.

"That damned bastard!" Abomination suddenly cursed, his voice rough and full of resentment. "What kind of monster is he? He was just messing with me! Tell me, what's that guy's name?! I need to know who beat me into this state!"

Tony shrugged slightly, with a hint of teasing and helplessness, "Oh, that guy? You must mean Dominic, right? Ah, he's a... how should I put it? A narcissist? No, he's more like a guy with a very 'unique' lifestyle."

Abomination glared fiercely at Tony, his rage seemingly about to erupt from his eyes. "Dominic?! That guy is completely insane! A damned villain! He didn't just mess with me, he kept mocking me, like... like watching a damned reality show!"

The more he spoke, the more agitated he became, cursing incessantly, "That damned arrogant bastard! One day I'll tear him apart! He's simply—"

Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed in the air, interrupting Abomination's cursing.

"Whoa there, buddy, don't get so worked up. I just heard your evaluation of me, you know."

Abomination suddenly froze, his eyes wide open, looking around in panic, searching for the source of the voice. The moment he turned his head, he saw Dominic walking over leisurely, holding a large ice cream in his hand, a signature confident smile on his face.

"You... you didn't leave?!" Abomination shouted in surprise, his voice tinged with panic and unease.

Dominic took a bite of his ice cream and slowly walked up to him, his eyes full of playful mockery. "Leave? When did I say I was leaving? I just went to get some ice cream and figured I'd see if you'd do anything interesting in the few minutes I was gone." He paused deliberately, then continued with a light chuckle, "But it seems you're just throwing a tantrum here, which is quite amusing."

Abomination instantly froze as if his hair stood on end from fright. Despite his massive size and immense power, his arrogance instantly vanished before Dominic. He knew clearly that he was no match for this guy at all.

"Uh... no, no more fighting! No more fighting!" Abomination said timidly, his voice full of pleading. He knew Dominic was not only powerful, but also incredibly sharp-tongued, and he couldn't handle it at all.

Dominic smiled proudly, took a bite of his ice cream, and waved his hand as if nothing had happened. "Alright, alright, I don't want to bully you. But hey, next time you run into me, remember to bring some other skills; just muscles won't beat my mouth, you know."

Tony stood by, watching this scene, and couldn't help but laugh. "Wow, this is really... a dramatic fight. I thought there would be earth-shattering scenes, but instead..." He shook his head and quipped, "Alright, Dominic, you win. It seems you can not only fight but also talk people into submission."

Dominic smiled even brighter and winked at Tony. "Hey, buddy, that's my style. Both the body and the mouth have to be tough, got it?"

Tony spread his hands helplessly. "Alright, it seems I need to learn from you how to defeat enemies with my mouth."

The atmosphere in the helicopter froze for a few seconds. Betty, Banner, and General Ross looked through the porthole at the strange scene in the ruins: Abomination, that huge creature, was actually sitting on the ground, his head down like a sulking child, while Iron Man and Dominic were like two old friends, chatting leisurely, completely without any tension.

Betty's expression was full of confusion. She instinctively covered her mouth, hardly daring to believe what was happening before her eyes. "Uh... Bruce? Is this the 'world-destroying battle' you were talking about?" She tried to find some reasonable explanation, but the result was only more confusion.

Banner gave an awkward laugh, raised his hand to scratch the back of his head, and said with an embarrassed smile, "Um... yes, theoretically, there should be. But, it looks like... they seem to be 'having a heart-to-heart'?"

He glanced at General Ross out of the corner of his eye, feeling the pressure in the air growing stronger, and his heart felt a chill. Banner sighed softly, muttering to himself, "god, I'd rather turn into Hulk and fight Abomination than face my father-in-law's wrath."

General Ross's face was ashen, his eyes accumulating anger like a volcano before eruption, his fists clenched tightly. There was only one thought in his mind: "What the hell is this? I need a fight, Hulk's appearance, and now they look like they're having a tea party?"

He took a deep breath, trying hard to suppress the anger in his heart, and stared at Banner with unfriendly eyes, saying coldly, "Bruce, are you just going to watch? Don't you think it's time to let Hulk come out and clean up the mess? Or do you just want that arrogant guy to turn all of this into a farce?"

Banner felt his scalp tingle under the gaze, cold sweat broke out on his forehead, and he took a slight step back, silently praying that Betty could help ease the tension.

General Ross gave him no chance, pointing at the three people in the ruins below, and roared angrily, "They're acting like kids on a picnic down there, and you—if you keep standing by and doing nothing, are you even a man?! Dammit, we need Hulk, not a scientist who just watches and doesn't fight!"

Before he finished speaking, Ross suddenly kicked Banner out of the helicopter. Betty screamed in shock, "Father! What are you doing!" Her eyes widened, looking at her Father in disbelief, she couldn't believe her Father would do such a thing.

As Banner fell through the air, he was completely stunned. He desperately flailed his arms, trying to grab onto something, but obviously, it was too late.

"Ahhh!" Banner's Scream echoed in the air.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, his body began to swell violently, his skin rapidly turned green, and his bones instantly strengthened. Accompanied by a massive roar, Banner's transformation was complete, and Hulk crashed to the ground from the air, kicking up a huge cloud of dust and rubble, shaking the surrounding buildings slightly.

Dominic, Tony, and Abomination were chatting when they suddenly heard a huge roar. Turning their heads, they saw Hulk standing not far away, glaring angrily at them.

"ROAR—!" Hulk let out an earth-shattering roar at them, his face full of anger, clearly not happy about the sudden transformation. His gaze locked onto Dominic not far away, as if asking: What the hell is going on?
