Hyūga Shigeo cursed under his breath, crouching down to hide himself as he stared at the scene before him. As a transmigrator since birth, he knew exactly what was happening.
The Kyūbi (Nine-Tails) was attacking Konoha. Today was the day Uzumaki Naruto was born.
He watched the village tensely. Explosions thundered through the streets, children cried, villagers shouted, and the pleas of wounded shinobi echoed together into chaos.
Some organized the villagers toward the shelters, while every shinobi capable of fighting tried to resist the tailed beast's rampage. The massive Kyūbi, as if out of control, launched frenzied attacks on the defenders, crushing buildings as it went.
The power of a tailed beast was terrifying. Humans were helpless before it. This was a catastrophe.
Hyūga Shigeo crouched atop the Third Hokage's stone face, frowning at the sight.
The Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato, appeared on the battlefield. Today was also the day his son Naruto was born, and the day he and his wife would die.
Shigeo's brow furrowed tighter. What a pity he lacked power. If not, he would have truly wanted to use his strength to give their family reunion and peace.
"Beep! Target lock: four. Host, strong entities detected. Begin Mirror Copy?"
The system's voice rang in his head. Shigeo asked curiously, "What is Mirror Copy?"
"Mirror Copy is the ability to replicate the current scene into the system. Characters can then be extracted and their abilities copied for training." The system gave a brief explanation, then asked again: "This is a rare chance. Host, shall Mirror Copy begin?"
"Yes! Begin copy!"
At once, rhythmic beeping filled his mind.

Kyūbi, the mighty Tailed Beast—Copy Initiated: 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%...
Namikaze Minato—Copy Initiated: 1%, 2%...
Uchiha Obito—Copy Initiated...
Sarutobi Hiruzen—Copy Initiated...
As the data appeared in the system, Shigeo stared wide-eyed. "System… this copy… it isn't just recording an image, is it? I thought you only captured scenes… but this is clearly more!"
Because what appeared in the Mirror Copy list weren't just visuals. Each of the four masters' profiles unfolded, followed by detailed data.
These data sets recorded their abilities and ninjutsu, even the training methods for those techniques.
"Recording complete. Host, begin Mirror Training now? If activated, host may copy these shinobi's ninjutsu and cultivation methods for training. Excluding tailed beast abilities…"
"Copy…" Shigeo said excitedly.
"Select copy target."
"Namikaze Minato!"
Shigeo now understood the difference between Mirror Copy and Mirror Training. At this moment, what he desired most was to learn all of Namikaze Minato's techniques.
The moment he spoke, a surge of images burst into his mind. All of Minato's knowledge and ninjutsu poured into his brain.
The flood of techniques and knowledge roared into him like a mighty river, thrilling beyond measure. Of course, inheriting all of it would still require time and training.
